   Quite simply tables and chairs with mediocre decorations. Restaurant was very quiet however we did not get sat down for 10+ minutes. Genuinely took 1 hour for our food to come out and it was very bland. It really was just an awful experience, staff were relatively nice however the service was just not up to standard. Very expensive for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

   Déception, nous avions réservé le soir du réveillon de l'an et après avoir pris notre commande la serveuse et venu nous dire que le chef ne se sentait pas bien et qu'il ne saurait pas cuisiner!!! Résultat un soir de réveillon sans repas et donc nous avons dû aller manger dans un fast food!!! Vraiment médiocre!!!

   Oh dear. Our waiter really didn’t want us there. As each diner finished, their plate was whisked away at lightning speed. Sadly the same speed was not demonstrated when providing drinks for the table

   Waitress was rude and condescending. Menu didn’t match what we had seen in the room on our smart TV. When questioned about this waitress nonchalantly said the menu changed a few months ago as if to say it was not her problem. When ordering drinks not all available and it felt as if she was trying to bully my wife into ordering something. We left before eating!!

   What shone for us at the glasshouse was the staff, we received fabulous service, great advice on tapas meal choice and the venue as a result had a lovely welcoming feel. We were offered a private booth in the restaurant to have our business lunch which we really appreciated. Food was great, location fabulous and proximity to the Printworks NCP was perfect. Would certainly return.

    I'd booked ahead which turned out to be pointless for a few reasons, firstly the place was pretty empty (Saturday 6:30pm) and secondly because they didn't seem to recognise the booking in any event, no table ready, staff didn't really seem to know what they were doing, they said they hadn't enough cutlery so when we decided to order starters as well as mains, the waiter had to take cutlery from other tables, apparently he said that they'd been stolen??? Menu itself looked fine, however a number of the dishes were not available despite the restaurant being 85% empty. Food was fine but one of our starters was missing a main component so had to be sent back. Once rectified, everything was fine. Overall the food was ok but the lack of atmosphere and disorganised way in which it's run means that we are unlikely to return. There are plenty of great restaurants in Manchester, so I'd give this place a miss

    Great evening , great food and good wine despite being temporarily in a banqueting suite. Currently undergoing refurbishment, we will certainly be back to see the opening of the new restaurant design.

    gentleman at front of house was superb.Table has been booked but specials not available at that time ,it was our anniversary so a little disappointing.However the gentleman got back to us and advised that the chef would prepare the specials menu.The food and service was superb and a delightful complimentary drink.Really made our anniversary special ,thankyou

    We were made most welcome. Chose our menu in the lounge with a drink. Called through to the restaurant when meal was ready. All food cooked from fresh and was to a very high standard. Amazing cocktails. Staff were very professionally trained. We would definitely eat there again. Although we did not stay in the hotel it looked a wonderful place to stay. Highly recommend it.

    We booked last minute and the restaurant was very quiet. Service was excellent and the choice of food was very good. The wine list offered sufficient choice and the whole meal was good value for money. It's a very nice venue which I am sure will be found by more - we will certainly be going back.

    My husband and I dined here on the 2 evenings we were staying at the Crowne Plaza. We were in Manchester to see ELO at the Manchester Arena. We both had the wood pigeon for starter on the first evening then I had the pan seared chicken my husband had the lamb. This was followed by the white chocolate and raspberry bavarois my husband had the rhubarb and ginger sponge pudding. We chose a Malbec as the wine accompanyment. The following evening I had the chilli and lime fried halloumi served with a tomato salsa. My husband had the Thai beef salad our mains choice was panko fried cod for my husband and I chose lemon sole with a langoustine broth. My dessert was cheese and biscuits actually served with soft butter curls lovely. My husband chose the blueberry cheesecake. The wine was a Chardonnay. All food was beautifully presented and hot and tasty. The staff were warm and friendly and courteous. We had an excellent time on both evenings and I would highly recommend a visit.

    My wife and I stayed 1 night 17/12/15 spent day Xmas shopping meal was booked for 7.30 was made very welcome in the restaurant by happy smiling staff it was quite but filled up later.we chose the wine/dine option great value,food was excellent and time between courses was just right.the staff were excellent my wife really enjoyed the whole evening.Finished off the night in the bar.Cannot fault the hotel or the restaurant,this was our first visit and won't be the last,thanks again,merry Xmas.     It was easy to book the table at the time we wanted. The choice was excellent and we all selected off the set three course menu with a glass of wine. The starter swerve great and the main courses hot and efficiently served as were the sweets delicious. The staff were caring and attentive. The restaurant was lovely and warm from the horrid rain. It was a little quiet but we all enjoyed the food.

    I can't believe how bad everything was. I asked if the fish was boned and was tolded that it was. There were more bones that when the fish was alive. Tasteless and boney. Just a bad experience. Go somewhere else.

    Reserved a table for a Mother's Day brunch only to be spoken too very rudely by a waiter of whom advised in broken English that we would not be served as the food was finished and we were not residents. Totally Appalled. Why accept the booking ???? My family and I ( the booking was for 7 persons) were left standing very uncomfortably in the restaurant feeling frowned upon. We quickly dismissed to San carlos restaurant where the service was excellent and the food superb.

    Works leaving do/ Xmas meal. Researched and found via open table- having never used the service before. Checked on trip advisor the restaurant was okay and booked it. Advertised as 3 course meal with glass of wine for £19.95 per head, which it was really good value for money and tasty albeit limited menu. Sneaky with the extra 'added service charge', though I would have tipped anyway as staff very friendly and food good.

    Whilst the value option is indeed the 3 course with wine for £24, the menu is not the most extensive of options. The bar staff seemed to be having issues on the night we visited, a white wine & soda, came as separate drinks - mix your own being the order of the day. The food was OK, but not exceptional. If you don't like your lamb rare, make this point at the time of ordering, and it was delivered more blue than rare. The level of service was extreemley slow - a half hour wait for coffees nearly resulted in our leaving before they arrived. And to add insult to injury a compulsory 10% service charge capped the night off. Overall OK - but not the best!

    I have visited this restaurant twice. I booked on open.table. The ambience is nice because during the week it does not tend to be overcrowded. The staff are exceptionally helpful. The only drawback is they list a 3 course meal deal and wine for under £20 - in fact when you get there it is £23.95. So if you are on a budget you may end up paying more than you bargained for!

    I took my wife to the Glasshouse for her birthday treat. The restaurant itself is situated inside the Crown Plaza, which is located in a very strange part of Manchester - it's a mixture of high-rise new buildings, run-down old shops, and car parks. The restaurant has nice décor, but there was no atmosphere in there. The food was good - they offer a 3 course meal with a glass of wine for £19.95 which is very reasonable. The staff seemed to be all Portuguese, so some language issues were present, but were really friendly and attentive. There seemed to be a problem with the crème brulee so I had to send it back, but they quickly gave me a replacement cheesecake, and in the end I'm glad the crème brulee was bad because the cheesecake was great!

    The meal was well executed and the portion size was just right, a little thought to presentation may just improve things somewhat. The staff were wonderful. However, the restaurant lacks ambience, although well decorated it is a featureless, has no background music and the lighting is bright and quite intrusive, a little rethink on decor would make a huge difference to any dining experience.
