Great location. Beautiful venue. Modern decor. Most importantly amazing food. We liked it so much we went twice for dinner and breakfast and both were delicious, well presented and cooked to perfection. Really interesting chilli margarita cocktail too. Friendly fast and efficient waitresses. Very good. Would definitely go back again.

Great views and nice ambience with unusual selection of good brunches but service is poor to non existent - staff are pleasant if and when you can get their attention but we actually had to keep getting up from our table and going to the bar in order to place orders etc

Thought that it was poor value for money with 1 slice of black pudding costing £3!! 2 eggs on the hash would have been better VFM. Service was good and staff lovely though

We wanted to sit by a window, young lady kindly went off to clean and re lay the table. Just after, a man turned up and said the table was not laid, we must sit elsewhere. I had to explain that the re laying was in progress. Staff, please speak with each other, and don't tell people where they should sit in a virtually empty restaurant, just lay the table, simples! Restaurant was empty as everyone was outside, lovely day. Food lovely. But my mushroom and halloumi hash very small, would be better as an entree. Apart from these minor issues, overall very good.

The food was excellent and the staff were very good. I would definitely recommend the restaurant although I think another couple of staff members would have made a huge difference as they seemed a little under pressure. The restaurant is quite noisy so it was difficult having a conversation. I felt the price was on the high side, however I do understand the cost of running a business, especially a restaurant is challenging. I very much judge a place on whether or not I would return. I definitely would.

Food bad, waiters running around like chickens without heads. Maybe it is ok for Brighton but not for Eastbourne. It is really a pity because the restaurant is beautiful and in one of the best locations. It is bad right from the beginning, but I thought it will improve. Unfortunately is getting worse. No more choosing this place.

The venue itself is in a lovely position and very well done. The staff were all very friendly and the service was good, unfortunately the food was not . Of our table, 5 of us had the Lobster Mac & Cheese option and all 5 were served luke warm. The waitress did return them all to the kitchen, she said to be replaced, but the same plates came back having been re-heated in the microwave so we're then too hot and the lobster/crayfish had gone hard! 4 of us had the Buttermilk Chicken Burger and they said the chicken was dry and overcooked and lacking flavour. The only one of us who enjoyed their food had the ribeye steak, which he couldn't fault. We also found the drinks on the expensive side. I would love to say we will be returning but the reality is highly unlikely.

Second visit and a tad disappointed. On arrival greeted by a really cheerful guy, however his shift clearly ended just after he served our order; after that you could hear the wind whistle. When we wanted to order more drinks after our meal my friend (after waving her arm for over a minute in the air) had to walk all the way to the end of the restaurant to break up the conversation the only two (visible) staff were deeply engaged in at the bar. Poor show. The menu is limited and not overly appealing for a light lunch. The halloumi sandwich was toasted which didn’t sit well with the grilled (?) halloumi, it was all too heavy and please make the fries optional, we certainly didn’t see the need for them. A board with 3-4 different bruschetta toppings would be so much easier to prepare and serve - keep it simple, not everyone wants a heavy sandwich. I’m sure once the sunshine comes out it will be super busy but the staff need to engage with their customers more if they want locals to return.
