Glass House is a fresh new seaside restaurant / café that aims to regenerate the pavilion building and surrounding Redoubt Gardens. Returning it into a destination for community and visitors to eat, meet, relax and celebrate.
It is dedicated to bolstering both Eastbourne’s community and heritage, showcasing local produce and culture whilst allowing residents and visitors to enjoy the spectacular views of our beautiful seafront.

Very good service particularly from Ammelia,, Kitchen staff were superb.... Catered for a very large party and food was prompt and of very good quality New starter was doing very well We moved to outside and service was still very very good Well done all we will be back Clarke party 25/6/25

Have to say I was a bit worried about coming here following some very mixed reviews online but im delighted to say that it was spot on. A beautiful place in a great location could be ruined by poor food or service but both were really good 👌🏻 super friendly and efficient staff, food very fresh and tasty, good range on the menu, iced coffee was lovely too. It’s not cheap but personally I don’t mind if the experience is as good as mine was. Will definitely be returning. Curtis

We got to out 7.30 booking at 7.20. We had to wait until 7.45 to be seated and at 8.15 we decided to leave after being completely ignored by the staff. Terrible service

Excellent waiting staff and food. Ate indoors as no cover outside. Some parasols or shades and I would give 5 stars. Noisy barking dog in the restaurant somewhat spoiled the ambience. Otherwise well worth a visit.

This is the first time in my entire life I have sent food back at a restaurant. I was so upset with our meal here on Father’s Day. It’s not often I get to take my family out and treat them to a meal and I was left nearly in tears after this meal as it was so disappointing. My meal was the crab hash and was quite honestly inedible. The waitress was very kind and removed it from our bill. My husband had the chorizo hash which was also awful but he was so hungry he ate it. Neither of my children had more than two bites of their bannoffee crumpets (which was just soggy French toast that tasted more of eggs than anything. Eggs and bananas do NOT taste good together) My dad had the full English which was absolutely fine. There is a very good reason this restaurant was empty on Father’s Day and all others along the seafront were completely full.
