Just an outstanding dinner. Everything was so fresh and flavorful and hot. Presentation was creative and portions were generous. And it was so good! Service was spot on and deserts were freshly made. I can’t wait to go back. Definitely my new Asheville favorite restaurant!

My first outing in a year was spectacular. The hospitality is always magnificent! Our server was efficient, effective and quite knowledgeable. The salads were superb, the entrees delicious with a beautiful presentation complete with a violet garnish and accompanied by a wonderful Oregon wine and the creme brulee was delicious and complete with a birthday candle for my friend. I can hardly wait for next time!

Dishes were just average. Hostess not friendly. The waiter was a little nicer. Not a smile or friendly comment from the hostess coming or going.

Wonderful! Went here for Valentine's Day because we were visiting Asheville. For a holiday weekend especially, I recommend coming here because the hustle and bustle of downtown is so overwhelming to try to find a restaurant reservation and parking. This is about 15 mins outside of downtown in a much quieter area that's perfect for an intimate dinner date. The garlic bread rolls were tasty, the seafood ravioli and housemade fettuccini were GREAT, and the service was spectacular. We genuinely had a great dinner and were so happy to have made our reservation here.

A wonderful quiet location for a nice Italian meal away from the bustle/hassle of downtown Asheville. Our second time here and we will return again.

The food is always so very good. The coconut cake is the best I have ever had ( and I am a Southern born girl). The wine list is a good pairing with the food.

The food was Absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere was so nice, it was cozy and private but not isolated. The service was spot on. It was like the waiter could read our mind because his rhythm was perfect. The cheesecake is to die for! Excellent.

Truffle fries, need i say more? This was the perfect spot to celebrate our anniversary. There was one lady on her phone FaceTiming during dinner though, which quickly destroyed the ambiance. This went on for 15-20 minutes and no one said anything to the woman. GREAT food. Bad timing.

Food was ok, not great. Not a bad place to go but for the money I’ll be going elsewhere when I want higher end price and food.

Fresh, delicious, authentic Italian food. Best homemade gnocchi with bolognese sauce we’ve ever had!! Fresh rolls that melt in your mouth. Good wine selection too. Wonderful date night out.

The starter with the fries is decadent. Every bite was the perfect blend of spices and cheese. They were very good. The entree was good but I expected the sauce to be more rich. It was watered down but the spicy sausage made up for it. The garlic bread didn't taste as good as the fries but I liked the crunchiness of it. We ordered a triple fudge cake and was turned off when they served it to us in a box. It felt like we were being rushed to get out of there.

This is a fantastic little place. The food was absolutely delicious and the steak was cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back! Service was good, waiter didn’t seem overly friendly but was attentive.

The Glass Onion was the perfect place for my three year anniversary. The food was fantastic and the restaurant itself had a wonderfully relaxed vibe. The wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable about the dishes and drinks offered. It was a great place to spend a special evening!

Maintaining but not quite as good as pre Covid. But running into same experience in all our Asheville area favorites. Sign of the times. Will continue to support.

The food was outstanding, Allie the waitress was extremely knowledgeable in guiding us into the best suggestions for our meal after we discussed our wants and needs with her. The servers were prompt and we were able to have a relaxed and delightful dinner. Looking forward to our next visit there.

I loved everything about Glass Onion! Easy parking (literally got a spot right outside the front door), very COVID compliant, excellent food, terrific service (waiter made a great wine recommendation) and the tiramisu was the perfect ending:) I'd easily return anytime!

It's been our special occasion restaurant since it opened and it is nice to have something a little more up scale so close to home without having to deal with the quagmire in Asheville. Food and service are always great.

Really nice dining experience. First of all, charming site, including old style ceiling. We both enjoyed a cocktail, a fresh salad and a well prepared meal. Particularly nice was the gnocchi. The service was attentive. We found the Covid cleaning protocol at a really good level. Also appreciated is the easy parking in Weaverville. Do not hesitate. Go and enjoy.

My husband and I are loving this spot as our weekly date night. We now are bringing friends as a fun double date spot!

Convenient location in downtown Weaverville with ample on-street parking. Each time my wife and I have had dinner at Glass Onion the food has been great. This time was no exception. We ordered the specials of the night and were pleased with our choices. We felt comfortable with the way they arranged the tables to provide separation from other dinners.

Consistantly the best food in and north of Asheville! There is something for everyone on their menu and the salads are super fresh and creative. We had striped bass, steak and a perfectly grilled chicken at our table. The garlic rolls they start you with are killer!!!!

It remains one of our Asheville area favorites. We've probably dined here about 20 times over the past 8-9 years, always enjoy it, it's also always consistently very good. They are a small business working hard to keep the doors open during Covid, so we were happy to give them our business. The service is always very good, friendly, and the food is always excellent. I had the wild boar bolognese, my wife has the trout. Both were great! I believe we've had most everything on the menu and it's all very good.

Glass Onion never disappoints! My wife and I go as often as possible!

Perfection

This is the true definition of 'Diamond in the Rough'. What an AMAZING place. I booked a reservation here because we were going to the Biltmore for the Candlelight Christmas exhibition that night. I was poking around Open Table and found Glass Onion rated very highly and it was close enough. I had never heard of Weaverville but that didn't dissuade me. A nice, balanced menu complemented with a courteous waitstaff. I don't know when I'll be in the Weaverville/Asheville area again, but I know I won't need to fret over dinner options when I do!
