The service at Glass Ceiling was outstanding. For a post-work event with colleagues we could not have selected a better spot. The moment we walked in we were warmly welcomed and the hospitality overall was outstanding. The decor, drinks, food and views are all a plus, plus, plus!
i love this place! awesome ambiance, & super friendly staff!! definitely coming back to try the new brunch next!!
Absolutely beautiful experience for a morning brunch
Super cute restaurant. Perfect brunch spot with great food, ambience, and views!
Place was beautiful!
I seriously love this place. the host accommodated us when we was 30 minutes late gave us a really big space for my party of four. The ambience of the restaurant is so dope with beautiful views , I will definitely go back again but only for the daytime not really nighttime . the only thing I would say is that there is not a hard liquor bar mainly the drinks are composed of wine champagne and rosé. But the drink was amazing and so was the truffle mac & cheese
Need to disclose upfront on their site that they don’t have a full bar
Food was great, lovely atmosphere nice ambiance
I have worked in the restaurant industry for 17 years and I'm always excited to try new restaurants when friends come in town.
I was greeted by a nice hostess who explained the rules between outdoor seating and indoor seating. I choose to sit outdoors. I was left alone for a while even when my party was complete. I had to ask for a glass of water. We ordered and went to get drinks at the bar. The food was delicious and the drinks were great. The low table was hard to eat on and I had to put the plate in my lap to be able to use my fork and knife better. The rooftop was covered because it was a high chance of rain and sure enough it began to rain really hard. Masses amounts of water started to pour inside in the corner of the patio and I waited about 5 minutes to see if any staff noticed sadly, they did not so I let a server know what was happening and told them to cut the electricity to the heat lamps before bigger issues were caused. The water started leaking in all over the patio and my coat and scarf got a little wet. I was amazed at how none of the staff on the floor was paying attention. The restaurant is only so big. Like I said I didn't even get water. Sam was very nice and she took my coat to her office to dry by her space heater.
My party and I didn't seem to be your age demographic but your food and drinks are really good. I understand your staff is young and it's hard to hire people. The placement of where your staff need to stand should change so you always have eyes at every inch of your restaurant. Who ever the person was on the computer with her back to the patio should face the patio. You can do alot with the bare minimum.
Things happen out of know where so you always have to be ready for anything. Would I go back probably not I appreciate good service
Went with a Pulsd deal, was fine for what it was worth but drinks on their own are quite expensive. Likely wouldn't go back.
Absolutely beautiful highly recommend this place!!!
Great food, nice atmosphere! Highly recommend .. We loved it
Glass Ceiling called me at 4 PM on the day of my reservation - 10/28/21 - to advise that they were having a Book Party and could not accommodate my reservation., unless I wanted to sit out on the Patio ALONE w no Bar service.
They advised they would set up a reservation at their sister restaurant - when I called to check the reservation was never made, but they did accommodate me. Food was OK.
Very annoying as this reservation at Glass Ceiling was made 1 month in advsnce!!
Really beautiful view. Great hostess. Drinks and food were great. Low tables make it difficult to eat.
No Liqour License. Everyone’s first day in the service industry. Extremely poor management and execution of a rooftop bar. All the drinks were made with sake or wine due to the liquor license, not well executed, cheap sake, terrible taste. Would be a good spot if you only want beer or wine and a rooftop completely empty to yourself with no music or ambiance.
Enjoyed everything about it. We got the hummus, guacamole and finished out with the tiramisu. All to the ambiance of the lit up empire state building.
The Glass Ceiling is a decor and customer service gem! Space: Beautiful. Hostess, Server and General Manager: Friendly and Attentive. Wine-based Cocktails and Wines by the glass: Lovely. Food: Good
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Wish they had tea and coffee and a bit more of menu options.
The service and space were both impeccable!!!
Drinks were really pricey and not that great. Space is beautiful (especially for the neighborhood), but not really worth it from a food and drink perspective. Service was so-so.
love the energy there and the food was amazing. definitely need to come again with a big group of friends!
There was no alcohol and they told us they didn’t have french fries. 0/10 experience. I would never go back. Weird elevator to get upstairs. The weird wine cocktails tasted terrible and it was very expensive.
Food and drink choices are extremely limited and quite expensive. Its a nice spot but I wouldn’t go again
Cool space, bachelorette party-level drinks. Wine markup is exorbitant.
The place is beautiful , and the waiters judge people who takes photo. The place was with a little people and the waiters rush as with the bill. I did not understand why. The food and beverage was really good. My friend observe that has little options.
Very great location for a any night situation, friendly staff ! Professional, Great drinks ,foods and music. High recommend
The waitress was perfect, she was knowledgeable with the menu and drinks. The service was excellent
limited menu and then they were out of items, slow but friendly service
The aesthetics were lovely. The music was good. Not too loud but still lively. They didn’t have half of the items on the menu both food and drink wise. What we could get was definitely not worth the price. There was one waitress to the entire restaurant and though it wasn’t that busy it they could’ve used at least 1 more. Overall it’s a cute place but a lot of room for improvement.
Waited 20 minutes after being seated to be served. When told it was last call at 8.30, we tried to order food, and they would not bring it.
The food was terrible and very expensive . I do not recommend it to anybody
The most amazing atmosphere and the best host and service.✌🏼
They only have wine and beer, but it was an excellent brunch
Non alcoholic bar!
Service is fair
First off the music is WAY too loud, the open area is adorable but the level of music is on a day club vibe and it’s just not conducive if you want to hear a person more than a foot away. So we moved to the outside perimeter so we could hear each other. When we sat down it took about 20 minutes before anyone got out drink order and it wasn’t busy so that was a rough start. Then we went to order, planning to have dinner there, and they were out of more than half of an already very limited menu. So we ended up having to go to another spot after to fill up because we were still hungry. They don’t have a liquor license yet so it’s beer and wine and wine style cocktails. We ordered oysters and didn’t realize until we were driving home that they never showed up and they we in fact on our bill so all in all it was a fail and I had to cancel my future reservation I had booked for a business happy hour because they’re just not quite ready for that and I can’t risk it being subpar. Cute vibe and interior is pretty but the chef needs to learn how to order appropriately and the staff has to get it together for them to survive in NYC. I’ll give it another shot in a few months and report back.
Service was terrible. Food was great & their drinks are always tasty! Have been here once before and had a wonderful time — hoping this time was a one-time thing.
This is a place that has a lot of space for improvement and potential. The space is lovely, the view is great, not very noisy, the food and drinks were good and the waiters are very nice. I think it still lacks a bit of employees, there were only like 2 waiters for a lot of tables, which made the service a bit slow and with no time for attention to details. Other than that, it could become a very very good place.
I decided to try this place with friends after reading reviews, so I wasn’t expecting much. The place is beautiful but like other reviews say the food is not worth the price and neither are the drinks. They do not have a licor license yet….but serve wine? I was confused. The servers look like they were doing their best. But not well coordinated. No small plates to share, no napkins and no pen to sign the receipt at the end. Overall not worth it.
