The maître d and my server were all very kind. I went there after some trainings that I had in the same shopping center. The food was great- especially the yellowfin hand roll and miso sea bass that I had the night before. The lunch that I had today was good too. The miso soup, California rolls and salmon that I had on top of my salad were tasty. The fish seemed very fresh on both visits.

Food is always tasty and well prepared, service is excellent. The waiters are really there for you. Fun, funky location up in the sky box. Just a little expensive, but that is the locale.

Service and food was very good. Ambience was "open air" a lot of noise and music meant to create lively environment- not conducive to conversation. Maybe i'm just old. Nice place and good people.

We came during restaurant week and everything we had was really good, especially the sushi plate, soup and main entree. All well portioned, no small dishes here, and served very quickly without delays in between courses. We left so impressed, wishing RW was every week! Included was a small dessert, which was nice to end with a ‘sweet.’

We went to GlassBox for the first time due to SD restaurant week. Glad we did. The service and food were very good. The habenero shrimp were excellent as was the sushi sampler - all the fish pieces so fresh. We finished with the Branzino which was very well cooked but the preparation a little bland in our opinion. We will return

We were exciteda about trying this unique restaurant. I liked the food although my wife was not impressed. She felt the quality was not great for one of the salads (stale nuts) and main meal needed some more seasoning. We might give it another try soon.

Ordered the Omakase which comes in 5pcs, 10pcs, or 15pcs. We opted for 10pcs and the selection was different and delicious! It started off with Kumamoto oysters served two ways, my favorites were the New Zealand salmon which had a bit of salt, snapper brushed with some kind of citrus (yuzu or lemon?), and the toro melted in my mouth. There was even wagyu beef which I've never had in nigiri form, and the tasting ended with THE most delicious smoked O-toro topped with Santa Barbara uni, caviar, and silver leaf. We ended up ordering 4 more nigiri and the total bill came out to be ~$245 before tip. 10/10 would recommend Glass Box!

Loved the sushi and sashimi! Everything was so fresh and delicious. The oysters looked amazing though I did not leave enough room to try them. Ethan and his staff were awesome. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu! Yum!!

Loved the entire experience: food, staff, ambiance, drink selection. Came to celebrate a birthday and they ensured it was a memorable meal. The fish was very fresh, Chef Ethan had wonderful, unique recommendations, & my boyfriend commented that the drink menu was the most extensive he has seen at a sushi restaurant. Everyone around us at the bar was friendly and appeared to be enjoying their meal as much as we did. A must try- we will be back and are recommending to all of our friends.

Loved sitting in the glass box. I don't think we would have like the ambiance as much if we hadn't. We were excited to try the Bluefin Toro Uni Roll, but the presentation wasn't like we saw in other pictures, it was bit sloppy how it was presented and the taste was only O-K, which was disappointing given it was a $45 roll. Aside from that, loved the Rosarito Roll and the Chow Fun that we had.
