Delicious! We sat on the porch. The service was excellent. Our waiter was friendly and responsive, ensuring that the specific dietary needs of our group were met. We had the guacamole with warm, home made chips. Yum. Crispy shrimp bowl was refreshing and filling. The steak special was perfectly prepared. We will be back!
Birthday for my husband. Pre ordered a small birthday dessert….never arrived!
Everything about the Gladstone Tavern made us want to return. The service was very friendly and the food delicious. One of the nicest restaurants we ever visited.
Excellent choices on the menu and the specials were an added bonus. Had a wonderful experience and will continue to recommend Gladstone Tavern to anyone for lunch or dinner.
Reservation process was easy. Arrived at restaurant early and sat at bar briefly. The dirty towel smell at the bar was fortunately short lived as we were seated at our table right away as our friends arrived. We had crab tots and flatbread appetizers that were delicious. Main course short ribs were excellent but potato wedges that came with were not seasoned. The salmon entree had what appeared to be ramen noodles which seemed strange. The chicken was excellent. The desserts are worth every brass penny.
I am gluten free and dairy free - their vegan pad thai was amazing!
Nice friendly service delicious salad for lunch.
Usually go every year and drop around $400 on dinner for anniversary and usually buy the kitchen a round of drinks. Never had a bad dish however this time was different. Bar was not ready to make any drinks server did not have much knowledge and food was cold and old. Sorry will not return or recommend
Limited menu options and prices were a bit high. The servers were friendly enough.
Very kind server, but the summer salad and the watermelon salad special were both truly terrible. Corn and watermelon did not taste fresh at all, dressing was flavorless, and both dishes were under seasoned. We ordered scallop dish without any bacon, but the chef included the bacon (we do not eat pork and it was awful to eat it before realizing their mistake). Gazpacho was fine, but not exciting. Very poor food overall.
Gladstone Tavern never disappoints. Meal was great along with the special strawberry sangria.
Our food was very good but our table was in a very busy area near the kitchen, preventing easy conversation. Our waiter was attentive and helpful. Gladstone has always been a favorite of ours so we'll be careful to be seated elsewhere next time.
Crab tots were so wet and raw on the inside..kind of gross. Love the aioli tho. Watermelon salad was pretty sad...cubes of yellow and red watermelon, with a few sliced black olives and rock hard feta cheese....I mean, at least throw in real crumbly feta, some Kalamata or nicoise olives, maybe a bit of arugula...make it a real salad or call it a fruit plate! Husbands burger was nothing special. Pretty disappointing meal...two drinks, one glass of wine, 2 appetizers and 1 entree for $93.
Awesome waiter to explained what was scratch cooked today
Great food and atmosphere, I'll definitely be back.
Gladstone Tavern never disappoints. Great staff, service and food. Crab app and wedge salad were standout starters. Main courses of scallops and Dover sole shined. Consistently good for a long time, glad to see GT bustling again.
It is a nice looking place. The food was good, but not amazing. I recommend not eating the ice cream. The seating is so close together you feel like you are in New York City. It definitely made our date less romantic. The place also smelled like the cleaner you smell in a fast food place. Not exactly appealing. I expected more, because the town is so nice. If we go back we will definitely sit outside.
Food not up to par and my meal was not prepared as stated on the menu. I’ve had much better experiences here. Service was a bit hectic.
Great food, good service, great value. I would definitely go back.
Gladstone Tavern continues to do an excellent job with service and food.
So restaurant was great food was awesome my only concern was that we brought my 94 year old mother in law who has trouble walking . We parked in handicap so that she could walk up the ramp but there was a dog tied up there along with a bowl of water making it difficult for her to walk . Plus when we exited we could go down the ramp because the new customers were blocking the ramp … I don’t think that was up to code
Came here with my dad and stepmother who were visiting from out of state. Our experience couldn’t have been. Our server, Jeanna, was outstanding and made great suggestions. Food was excellent. I’ll absolutely be back.
Best brunch I’ve had in a LONG time! They really knocked it out of the park. The bacon. Omg. RUN for brunch!
June 12 was our first time here. I have to say everything was amazing. Shortly after we were seated the manager came to our table and said the kitchen was very busy and it might be a bit of a wait. I thought that was considerate. You rarely have that happen. But actually we didn’t have to wait. We shared the spring salad. Very fresh and tasty. I had the smoked beef brisket. It was melt in your mouth. The potato pancakes were perfect. My date had the octopus pasta special. The sauce was excellent. This is definitely a place we will return to. Very pleased!
First time back in over a year...oh how I missed the chopped salad! It was the the way I remembered, a wonderfully perfect combination of textures and flavors. Looking forward to having it again soon!
It felt like the restaurant overbooked as tables were being moved, chairs were being taken from customers who had gone to the rest room. Service, although pleasant, was slow and prices over the top for so so food along with high charges for liquor.
This was in their out door setup. The indoor was also very busy.
We had an enjoyable dinner at Gladstone.. While our server, John, was very nice, the restaurant seemed short staffed. We waited quite a while for our wine and apps. to come out. Food, in general, was okay, although my husband ordered the Mahi Mahi...initially, it was really undercooked. When it went back to the kitchen for additional cooking, it came out done, but, in general, was just okay. The halibut and burger were both good meals.
Again, an enjoyable evening, nice outside seating, good, not great food, and nice service, but slow
The hostess was pleasant as well as the bussers. The server seemed frazzled and rushed, not a welcoming person. Food was just ok, a bit overpriced. Noise level was high.
The food was delicious-especially the Wedge Salad. The cocktails are unique and delicious. Great wine list. Service was very good. The noise level was high.
Salads were very well done and imaginative, but the burgers were not well executed. A tavern should make its burger a standard for excellence and not run of the mill - as was in this case. Music was also a bit too loud. Great location.
Amazing food! Service was ok, overall not very accommodating to the customer. Somewhat annoyed with questions and the bartender was terrible!
Inventive menu, great ingredients, excellent service.
Very enjoyable place for a casual dinner.
Took a long time to be greeted, drink order, served, drink refresh, get check. Wrong dish brought out by someone not our server.
Not one of our better experiences. Without warning the speakers blew out completely startling everyone (when the music wasn't even playing). The person at the table next to us said it was the third time it happened that night. When we put in our drink order we asked for waters with our drinks. We had to remind our server multiple times. Eventually, after our food was served, another server brought out 3 glasses even though there were 4 of us. He said he'd be right back with another glass. He never showed.
The food was ok.
Perhaps it was an off night but that was our first time there and I don't know if we'll be back.
This was my first time dining here and it was a huge disappointment. Was seated promptly, but it took 15 mins until someone came over to give us water. Another 10 mins until the waiter took our drink orders. Then it took another 10 mins just to get them. Finally, after sitting there for an eternity, a different waitress came to take our orders. And she wanted it all at once (guess staffing must be an issue here). Our appetizers came out at different times. Best part though…we were sitting outside on adorable patio, but the sound system speakers kept randomly turning on. And they were loud, like sonic boom loud. Kids were crying afterwards. The manager was going around and apologizing (a free drink would have helped). He assured everyone it wasn’t going to happen again, but it did lol! Food was only ok. This combined with subpar staff will prevent me from returning. Too bad, because the outside area is super cute.
My wife and I don’t get many date nights with 3 young children so we were looking forward to a dinner out
Unfortunately there was an issue with the music systems and the noise level was so high at some points we couldn’t even talk to each other . We asked on numerous occasions to unplug the system which was obviously malfunctioning. When it appeared the problem was fixed the manager didn’t even come over to apologize
Our waitress was nice and did the best she could but she was assigned to too many tables ans this the service was slow
It will be awhile before we go back
We (& the restaurant) had a miserable night/experience. Service was poor. No utensils provided, no water glasses, only 2 entrees served out of 4, without us continually asking/reminding. Stereo misfunctioned 4 times at blaring levels, and no one apologized/explained. Horrific night. Food was good
They sat us in the bar high table it took over 30 minutes for someone to come to us after asked another server for help. Once that happened the service was good and food was outstanding.
