Always a great experience. The food is always top notch as is the service. A local gem.
Great meal and service. I really like the selections on the new spring menu. Tables spaced out nicely for covid precautions. We really enjoyed our meal.
Great meal - I had a Korean style hangar steak & crab fried rice. Delicious!! Sat outside on a lovely evening. Great experience!
Food was very good as usual but service was surprisingly bad. Sadly it seems that GT is having trouble attracting/training wait and kitchen staff. Service was inattentive and slow and we never even got our “to go” item nor did we receive an itemized bill. It will be quite a while before we try this place again. Very sad as we have been there many times.
It was a nice experience. Unfortunately my shrimp was overcooked and rubbery but all other dishes were fine.
Also, I mentioned it was our anniversary and I don’t know why the question was asked as they didn’t offer anything.
We were very disappointed. We’ve been here several times before and had a fine meal; however the service was sorely lacking. Our server basically disappeared and we had to find someone else just to beg for our check. The food was decent but not much better than a B- this time. We were also freezing despite being indoors.
It was a perfect Easter Sunday for us to be able to have dinner with our son and his significant other. We were able to enjoy some great in person conversation. The server was very nice and am sorry I cannot remember his name. Our only disappointment was no cappuccino cake on the menu . It was a lovely day all around.
Gladstone Tavern never disappoints, consistently excellent
Great food and dining as usual. So glad they are able to keep open during the pandemic.
The food has become so disappointing. Please hire a new chef!
3 1/2 stars! Nice place 2 parking lots (1 was closed so it was a little confusing to know where to park but found street parking no problem!). Interior is very nice, tables are spaced out & they have a lovely fireplace. The bar area tables are small for 4 or more people so we moved to the main dining room but I'd go back to enjoy a drink in the bar. I love the large ice cubes served for bourbon drinks!
Service was pretty slow - a table that came in after us got drinks & their order taken - not cool. Drink orders took 15 minutes & the place was not full. Menu is small & eclectic - very unique offerings - wish there were more "normal" things like a chicken sandwich or clams, or even wings for example. Our group enjoyed our food - chopped salad, chips & salsa, shortbread flatbreads, caesar salad, focaccia bread, & brussel sprouts. The food that we did not care for: cheese plate on the special menu - pathetic - 3 different pieces of different types of brie-type cheese & the crab claws - we had to ask for a fish fork - they were miniscule - why bother even offering something like this.
I would have gone back again but the owner left me a snarky comment on Yelp so instead I have made sure to inform all my Yelp friends to not patronize this place since management cannot take constructive criticism.
The food here is amazing. Don't let the name Tavern make you think it's ordinary cuisine, it is fine dining in a casual atmosphere. The heaters and outdoor seating options are wonderful.
Loved are server and also those who assisted him...not sure of his name. I felt the portions were small for the price, mostly the appetizers and cocktails. Ambience was great and we had a lovely time.
Wonderful setting, outside on the porch. The service was great. The food was amazing. Such a nice evening out to welcome spring!
Very nice place. The food was excellent and the service was great. Would definitely recommend this place.
Great diner with kids! Live the salmon
Good neighbourhood watering hole..cocktails are superior but food was unremarkable .. overall pleasant experience
The service and ambience were fantastic but The quality of the food is not what it used to be
We have been going to GT for 10+ years and have never ad a bad visit. Service is competent and warm, food is fabulous, mixed drinks are on par with 5 star restaurants. If you go there once, you will become a regular.
Excellent food, a little expensive for drinks but nice waiter .
This was a first visit to this establishment and WOW! Everything that was put on the table was DELICIOUS! Will 100% return here. The staff was very personable and pleasant. They were also very respectful and eager to ensure we were satisfied. We were greeted and sat immediately (we had reservations) and our table was wonderful and big enough for our party of 4. We each commented how each course was better than we could have imagined. I booked this restaurant on a chance of trying a new experience and it was a home run. Thank you for providing amazing food in these very challenging times.
Wonderful meal! Service was great: friendly and accommodating to our allergies. Highly recommend!
As always the Tavern was great! Tables were properly spaced, service was great and attentive!
The food was not bad at all, but the experience, overall was a little disappointing. I came here with my husband on Valentine’s Day. I had wanted the lobster risotto which they informed me they were out of while seating us. It was only 7:30pm so it felt a little early to be out of something already but I moved on. I decided on the filet mignon special which they were apparently also out of after already taking our order. The lobster risotto and the filet were their only two specials for Valentine’s Day and they had neither. They offered the hanger steak instead which wasn’t on the menu but they said they had some in the kitchen. Filet and hanger are obviously not the same cut and it wasn’t nearly as good. This was my first experience at this restaurant, and I would probably give it another try on a non-holiday.
Food was amazing, and service was even better. Would highly recommend.
Valentine’s Day brunch! Delish!!
This has been our go to for Valentine’s Day for more than 10 years. What was so nice to see this evening was our server is a young lady who has “grown up” in the ranks and was so friendly and attentive. We remember when she was a shy young assistant to the wait staff . New bartender perfected the Cosmo too! In addition to the lobster dinner special their cappuccino cake was amazing.
Fantastic service. The food was delicious and the atmosphere made everyone feel very safe. So happy we went and plan on going there again soon.
Came with the kids and they were so accommodating.
We were the only ones crazy enough to dine outside....but on the porch with a propane heater we were fine. Buffalo cauliflower was delicious as was the New York Strip and the smoked brisket. Servers were great too.
Hadn't been in a while. But was really pleased with the creative selection of food. Staff was nice. We had a good time and everyone enjoyed there food.
I went with a friend and we had a lovely time. The lunch menu was enough to choose from. We felt the restrictions for Covid were followed.
The main dining room has a cozy fire. We did not feel rushed during our dining experience
Food was delicious and waiter was very helpful and pleasant.
Gladstone Tavern is both lovely and very COVID-safe. There is ample separation between tables and it’s nice that there are separate rooms if you want a quieter spot for dining. Hand sanitizer when you enter as well as on the tables. Food is great and very well priced, though menu is a bit limited. Definitely one of my go-to’s for safe indoor dining.
Wonderful! Creative, delicious cuisine that is beautifully presented. Attentive and warm service. We will definitely be going back.
We had dinner Friday night and the food was perfect, but the musical entertainment was truly wonderful! I have no idea how long it has been since we have been able to enjoy some live music while dinning!
Always great seasonal menus! And great cocktails!
Our favorite place!
