Every time I come here, it is always a great time! The staff are so friendly and accommodating. I come every Sunday for drag brunch, and I’m never disappointed
We had a lovely dinner for a large group of 12 - food was delicious and so was the service (especially from Dan!) ! Would definitely recommend :)
Had an amazing time at the drag brunch! Awesome food and drinks as well!
Fantastic food and same prices during drag brunch as any other breakfast time, great value!
The hostess and staff were all friendly and accommodating! I put what table I wanted in the reserve and they were totally fine with it!!! Thank you for making my Sunday’s fabulous
Very enjoyable experience. Happy that the music didn’t drown out our conversation. Nice menu choices and alterations to our orders were taken gladly.
Food was very average. Disappointed. Wish there were more options. The chickpea doubles really needed seasoning. My red wine braised mushroom Benny should’ve been braised in red wine. It was not it was just sautéd in oil with no seasoning/flavour. Latte was good though!
Bingo is awesome
Great atmosphere and taste of food (for brunch), portions could have been a little bit larger.
Cocktails were excellent. Service was great. Food was good.
We went to Gladstone for Mother’s Day and he food is good, bur was over priced. Left feeling ripped off.
Drag show was great
Mother’s Day brunch service great; dining area very nice but food was horrific selection very poor; bagels were stale
The brunch was very elegant against the backdrop of the light. The staff were professional. Their wardrobe was lacking in formality at the front door and was a bit off-putting.
The food was decent. The price was high. The experience with the website was very confusing.
The menu was very pork focused and could have been more responsive to a different taste palette. It was very Canadian in flavour but left few options like fresh salad for vegetarian clients.
In all it was a great experience.
Food and atmosphere was great. We stayed chatting for a long time after our lunch and we weren’t rushed out. Server was attentive and polite.
The Gladstone is a hotbed for culture. When you eat there you get the opportunity to hang with close friends while enjoying their great food. Then you can head up to one of their three galleries and check out the local art. It's the only experience of its kind in Toronto. The best part is the exhibitions change every month or so!
Brunch is excellent on the weekends. Breakfast on a Monday was overpriced for what we got, small portions and not that good.
Food had good flavour but portions were small for the Cornish hen and steak & frites dishes. Steak tough and overdone. Overpriced. Won’t eat here again.
Perfect place, excellent service and the most important thing, everything was very tasty.
Their online menu advertises gluten free options, so we specifically chose these restaurant as our friend has celiac disease. When we got there, we saw that the gluten free symbols were no longer on the menu and those options were no longer available.
The food was amazing, the entertainment was amazing and our server Julia was amazing. Y'all helped me hit it out of the park for a first date. Thanks so much cant wait to go back.
Had a great time at the Gladstone on Valentines Day with friends! Super cool place with lots of warmth brought on by the decor and the staff. Great service, delicious meal and the entertainment was stellar.
We were there for valentines day! Were not expecting a show but boy did we get one! The food was amazing the waitstaff was perfect and professional!
Food was cold, though the restaurant wasn’t busy, and it nothing our of the ordinary for a basic breakfast. Could have likely had the same at a diner for half the cost.
Im not normally one to write a review but I was disappointed. The ambiance, and staff were nice, but I wouldn’t likely go back.
I want to thank the staff for great service. Seeing that we had a large group for brunch the staff went to the trouble of opening up a new area and continued to give us friendly, efficient service all the time we were there.
Good local spot in an historic hotel
The service here was great! The food was good, but the chairs are really uncomfortable!
The GH breakfast was top notch. Fresh, good quality and competitive price for the area.
A great place for brunch. Large portions and unique variations on the normal fare. Definitely must view the art around the main floor And in th Galleries on the 3rd and 4 th floors.
Food was delicious
Cocktails were delicious
Karaoke was loads of fun
Not so great
Fries were refried
The sever auto gratuity without telling us- before hand and at the point of delivering our bills. Not cool. We paid a tip twice for regular service.
When our group of 9 arrived for brunch they did not have my reservation which I had confirmed with the manager. Tables were arranged promptly as there was thankfully space. Food was brought to the table one plate at a time, meaning that the first person received their food then the last person of nine received theirs 30 MINUTES LATER! The bacon on FOUR plates were returned as it was undercooked. I expected far better and was quite disappointed. The flavour of the food, when it finally arrived and was cooked properly, was good.
Both the host and server were so incredibly friendly and nice. And not in an over the top annoying way. In a genuine, chill, happy way. Refreshing.
Not horrible but disappointing. The jazz band was lovely, but stopped early considering this was a special occasion and people came especially for that experience. And the food was cold! Buffet style is always tricky but the chafing dishes were not heated at all.
This was an incredible experience. Suzanne Barr is a force to be reckoned with- her passion and knowledge for food is extremely apparent through every intricate and well thought out dish. The entire concept of her menu is one of a kind and absolutely worth checking out. Would come here again 100%
What a fantastic eating experience! We left our menu choices to our very friendly and well versed server who shared in our passion for delicious food with a story. We all left fully satisfied both with our meal and the experience. I highly recommend the Chef in Residence dinner. What a treat!
Dining at the Gladstone AND with Suzanne Barr - it doesn't get much better than this
We came because we loved Saturday dinette and missed Suzanne Barr and because we've celebrated special occasions at Gladstone before with great success Sadly it didn't feel very special - more like a very expensive pub. The service was good but unnerving when we saw our dish go to another table beside us by accident, return to the kitchen and promptly come out for us. Unclear if it was a new plate or they swapped for form's sake. Also incredibly loud dining room. Wine list ok. Fish delicious. Plantain good but very rich.
Given that this was a special guest chef the overall dining experience was low on special.
Amazing experience and a fantastic meal.
Suzanne is a warm-hearted genius. It's reflected in the entire dining experience. If you don't sidle up to her table you're missing out on the most uniqely beautiful food you've ever had. As honest and welcoming as Suzanne's winning smile. Thank you.
Great food. I Recommend
