Welcome to Door Artisan Cheese's Glacier Ledge Restaurant. Chef Lawrence uses local and sustainable ingredients as much as possible. Through his "small plate" concept, you can try and share different tastes from around the world. We wanted to try a 'different' dining experience during our New Year's Eve in Door County. Having a chef preparing meals - for sharing, as our waitress professed - per order seemed appealing as my wife has a number of food allergies (including a no dairy requirement) so we could manage our dinner in a unique way. Great concept, but poor execution, however. Her primary dish arrived first, before what we considered to be our 'shared' veggie appetizer. Tasty, but lacking something - my primary dish. An hour later, after all other food was consumed, my salmon dish arrived. It was tasty, but my wife basically had to sit an watch me 'dine alone' as she couldn't eat the salmon or sauce it was prepared in. No hostess, a lot of waitress apologies regarding delayed food prep, and potentially nice ambience . . . but it it never came off. We probably wouldn't return for a follow-up performance, but others might enjoy the interesting cuisine. Can't really recommend to friends or family members . . . but I wish I could.

We are frequent diners at Glacier Ledge and have always had fantastic food and service. Last night was no exception. Everything was creative, delicious, and prompt. We would drive much farther for this level of food, but fortunately live nearby. Highly recommended!

We were impressed with the variety of foods that were available. The portion sizes were small which gave us an opportunity to try many entrees. They were all very good and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was very relaxing and quiet which we appreciate when going out to eat.

The server was helpful and friendly. She seated us at a table near the fireplace and arranged our selections at the table in an appealing fashion. The food was delicious especially the spinach salad and the hanger steak.

We were there for a Birthday celebration brunch. The entire family LOVED the experience!! The staff was super warm and friendly. Our food was delicious. We had scones, coffee cake, spinach salad, shakshuka eggs (deliciously spicy), veggie hash, fruit, coffee drinks... everything was fantastic. After our meal, several members of the staff came out with a piece of cake with a candle and sang happy birthday to my mother. It was the perfect ending to a perfect meal. We sat at the nice big round table surrounded by a lovely view of the surrounding woods and patio. Can't say enough about our server Peg and her colleagues. They were just outstanding. I highly recommend this place for brunch and we look forward to returning for dinner sometime.

We made a reservation here because there was nowhere else open on a Monday night in the off-season and were SO pleasantly surprised. The service was WONDERFUL, the food was delicious, and we were seated by the fireplace which was delightful. Definitely recommended!

It was a Friday evening 5pm, Oct. 8. We were seated quickly at a nice table and there were only 2 other tables with customers in the restaurant when we arrived. It took a while for a waiter, Brian, to serve us. When he finally came I ordered a mixed drink and he told me that dont have a full bar but there were all kinds of specialty drinks on the menu, but that was no problem. Brian told us the specials and left for our drinks, just a glass of wine. Again with the restaurant nearly empty it took quite a while to get our drinks. When we ordered the seafood cassoulet we were told that they ran out of this item and he thought he told us. The restaurant was only open for an hour with very few customers and how they ran out of an item was odd. We ordered the empanada special and Shrimp pil pil. The food was ok. Listening to the table of people next to us, Brian our waiter is telling them the specials and he tells them they had a crab cake special. My wife and I really enjoy crab cakes. I asked Brian, “you have a crab cake special and he said, oh I thought I told you”, he didn’t. I asked for a 2nd glass of wine, he never brought the wine and when he finally came back he asked if we wanted dessert and never brought the wine. He dropped the check off and then didn’t see him for a long time waiting to pay until a different waitress finally took the check for me to pay. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

We ate here after a trolly experience in Door county, I guess we both thought the food was ok but not special enough to warrant the price. I would not go back, the service was great. Ambiance was ok nothing special

We celebrated a birthday and this restaurant was fabulous! They gave us a complimentary dessert & we're so nice. The food was excellent and our server was wonderful. The shareable plates were fun as you get to try many things! A fun entertaining way to celebrate! The shrimp pil pil is great. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening!!

Pleasant surprise to find this place. Small plate/tapas selections were great. Good wine selections. Very nice atmosphere. I would not recommend this place for families with kids but great for adults who want to try new foods.

We decided to eat at Glacier Ledge because it was close to our campground and looked inviting. It was so good! The food is as delicious. The combination of tastes We’re truly amazing. This was our first experience with small plates. We were not disappointed. We had 3 dishes and a dessert (which was fabulous and decadent)! We will most certainly return when we come back to Door County next year!

Wonderful experience. Each dish was well-plated and prepared and delicious. We had olives, the beet salad, Thai sausage-stuffed shrimp, salmon bites with mango salsa and chicken skewers with pita. Eat here! You won’t regret it.

Arrived early for our reservation and were seated right away. Staff was very friendly and attentive. We shared several plates- marinated olives, the baguette with spreads, and hanger steak with Mexican street corn were AMAZING. Also tried the crab cakes, which were good but not AS good as everything else- we probably would skip those next time. We enjoyed dessert (espresso mousse and grilled berries over ice cream) - both of which were delicious and a perfect finish, along with coffee, to the evening. Definitely recommend Glacier Ledge!

The atmosphere was very nice. The live music was good and not obnoxiously loud like live music sometimes is. The food sounded interesting and good but was actually pretty bland. A lot of stuff was just covered in cheese and not well seasoned.
