Wonderful cuisine, beautiful preparation and presentation.
We are visiting Door County and was craving a great meal. Flavors were amazing and all our dishes were unique and delightful!
The food was elegantly prepared and presented. It tasted wonderful. The prices were reasonable considering the quality of the food. The plates are meant for sharing which allows you to try more dishes. The desserts were amazing and all prepared in house. The ambience in the restaurant was modern and inviting. The patio dining off the back of the restaurant had a lovely view! We will visit Glacier Ledge
Restaurant again on our next trip to Door County!
Very tasty tapas, nice specials and spacious patio
The food was outstanding, and the outdoor setting was very pleasant.
Our server, Kyle, was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. As I was deciding between 2 dishes, he suggested the salmon bites which were excellent! There was outdoor Live Music which was a nice touch - not overbearing my loud. We all enjoyed our food and drinks!
Would not suggest going there. Manager was rude. Food with not the best. Had to get pizza after a $75 meal. Order was wrong. And when I confronted the manager about being unsatisfied she was very rude. Would not suggest this restaurant
It was new looking and staff was friendly, however, we could not believe the portion sizes. The cost of the food was outrageous and the portions would not be enough for a young child. We went to ship wrecked afterwards to fill up on appetizers because we were still hungry and in a state of shock for how much the food costed at Glacier Ledge. I’m still in shock!
Food was outstanding. We were surprised it was a tapas restaurant which is one of our favorite experiences.
Amazing flavors in all the small plates! I would return on my next trip.
Good service, nice setting outdoors, and menu has and interesting and nice variety - different from the "normal/usual" restaurants/supper clubs of Door County
Always so delicious and wonderful Friday pm music!
Really think the menu is good. We had the shrimp special and Japanese style fried chicken. Shrimp excellent. Think chef should spice up the chicken by maybe adding wasabi to the mayo dip or something. Only dishes we haven’t raved over this year have been chicken. Like the ambience. Staff very good. We’ll be back again.
Had lunch on a Friday afternoon on the back patio. Absolutely lovely. We love tapas. The food was OUTSTANDING! Favorites were the hanger steak with roasted corn (phenomenal) and the roasted beets with burrata, citrus, and pistachio. Had to keep myself from licking the plate. Our server kept us waiting juuust a little bit after one of our plates, but made up for it when we got free dessert (cherry crisp) for our anniversary. HIGHLY recommend Glacier Ledge.
Thank you for the great review! So glad you enjoyed the food - Chef Lawrence loves what he does and we think you can taste it! Come see us again, soon.
We were not aware that it’s a limited wine and beer place with unusual small plates. Our server was great, but we actually googled for a happy hour place.
Though we don't have happy hour, we are glad you were happy with the service! Chef Lawrence is a creative guy who does his best to wow our diners, with different but delicious dishes from around the world. Hope we made it on your list for a second visit, now that you know what to expect.
Exceptional in every way! Chef here understands the true world of food; passionate, creative, wonderfully flavorful presented beautifully. This is a feast for all the senses. Order from every section of this tasty menu.
Thank you Freja3- so glad you enjoyed the food. Come see us again, soon!
Arrived for lunch and were the only people on the patio - kind of awesome for social distancing😉. The hostess was friendly & let us pick our table. Weather was gorgeous and our server Izzy was delightful. He was very knowledgeable about the menu & specials. Food is tapas style which we enjoy - has pork belly - delicious flavoring & not too fatty, tuna poke was fresh & refreshing. Also tried hanger steak, salmon, cheese curds & schwarma. All were flavorful as well as very visually appealing. And, not to forget the sour cherry mimosa which was delightful. Will definitely be some place we’d go back to when we’re in Door County.
Thanks for the kind words blnick328. We look forward to taking great care of you on your next visit!
Good food, poor service, ambience average
Sorry you didn't have an outstanding experience during your recent visit. We hope you will give us another opportunity to wow you!
Had a really great experience here. Patio was beautiful, food was delicious and service was great. Highly recommend the cheese curds, pork lettuce wraps and grilled cauliflower!
Very nice place to sit and enjoy a great dinner and quiet atmosphere. Unique food choices and good cocktails.
We were still hungry after we ate here, because we decided to go with the 3 little plates and share them. We definitely needed about 5. The food was fantastic, but there could have been a little more. The tastes were soooo good!
Brian, glad you enjoyed the food during your visit. We do usually recommend 3 - 5 plates for two people, depending on their hunger- (and appetite to try new things. :)) Hope to see you again, soon.
I found this restaurant through a Google search looking for a great restaurant in Door County. Glacier Ledge did not disappoint! The food and cocktails were outstanding as was the service and outdoor seating. We would definitely return to this restaurant next time we're in Door County.
Really good food. Our be favorite place in Door County.
Great small plate options and a very good wine selection A real treat!
Unique menu. Good service. Nice setting.
Beautiful setting and felt Covid safe sitting outside. Can't wait to celebrate the next special occasion dinner there.
We had a lovely lunch at Glacier Ledge yesterday. We ate on the patio looking out on a wooded landscape and saw a young deer watching us. The lamb skewers were delicious and the server was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be going back!
Nice setting for outdoor dining. Generous small plate portions. Nice wine selection.
Their Chinese special event was very tasty! 6 courses included spring rolls, pork belly over rice, egg drop soup just to name a few of the courses. Service very attentive. A rather lengthy meal however. 2 hours from start to finish.
The chef did a great job! Great taste and more than enough food.
The menu is exceptional. The flavors are outstanding.
We have visited Glacier Ledge several times, and have always had excellent food. In the past, they had a “small plates” menu, but that seems to have changed to entrees. Not sure if that’s a permanent change or just for the winter season, but they kept several of our favorite tapas as full dinners, so we were happy. Their wine and beer selections also gave us lots of good options. The dining room is well-appointed and relaxing. We are fortunate that Glacier Ledge is near home for us, but we’d drive even further for this quality of dining experience.
Winter Menu was in force...had some challenges with the menu. Beef Barley soup was outstanding! Chicken dish was excellent, and flatbread was very good! Think need to call ahead to find out what soup of the day, and what specials will have that day. One cannot go by Online Menu. Overall a great place to eat - always great venue! We will be returning during this Winter!
Chef Lawrence has created a winter menu of flavors that is simply incredible. The freshest ingredients including a made to order white bean soup that was out of this world. This restaurant is quickly becoming our favorite on the peninsula.
Glacier Ledge is one of our favorite restaurants in DC with a welcoming fireplace, staff, and delicious menu. We took our daughter and we all enjoyed the generous bread plate and salads, the hanger steak entree as well as the roasted chicken breast over kale with a white chocolate
Mousse rounding out our meal — beautifully prepared and presented, reasonably priced — a lovely evening — thanks!
Wonderful food! The chef was so gracious and talked to us for awhile about his background and about his creative menu planning.
Excellent food and overall experience.
With busy lives my husband and I don't get to dine out often. The entire experience was a magical night for both of us. Great food service was perfect. We will be back to try more great items from the menu.
Amazing meal incredible flavors. Portions allowed us to try several dishes. My only suggestion would be to dim the lighting for dinner it was a bit too bright.
The food is very good, but the service completely lets the place down. We were seated immediately but had to wait for half an hour before anyone came over. No particular p
