Giuseppe's on 28th
Local neighborhood feel. Excellent service by Cindy. Food was delicious especially the garlic bread, soup, salad, eggplant parmigiana!
The food was delicious! The homemade noodles and the meat sauce was to die for!
Great food at great prices with an owner who is provides personal attention to every customer...
Great food and impeccable service. Highly recommended.
What a wonderful experience! From the moment we walked in, greeted by the owner and chef, Richard Bock, to the attentive service and exceptional food, we had a great dining experience. We have been looking for Italian food that matched the food from the Northeast that we grew up with, and tried multiple Italian restaurants in AZ, and we finally hit the mark at Giuseppe’s. Delicious! Tender homemade pasta, flavorful dishes, and fun conversations with Chef Bock. The ambiance is quaint and casual and the food is outstanding. We had pasta carbonara, osso buco, black ink pasta with clams, and ravioli stuffed with lobster. All incredibly tender and delicious. We will be back!
Out of a few things - portions smaller than they used to be which is understandable I guess but the food is still great
They were very accommodating since there were 11 of us and quite a few kids. The waitstaff was amazing. The food though, was so so good. I will for sure be back (but with less kids next time).
The food was excellent and the service was very attentive. I had the Bolognese Ragu which was excellent. The others in my party all enjoyed their selections very much as well. Rich, the owner, stopped by multiple times and talked with us. Overall we had a nice dinner and enjoyable evening. We sat outside so I don't know what the atmosphere inside might be like.
Food was good but everything is ala carte so over priced for what you get.
Nice people and great food. Glad it is near my house. Will be back often
The food was good but not as great as expected. Our waitress was outstanding but I thought it was a little expensive compared to the serving size. The Air Conditioning did not work well and the ambience is only okay.
We sat outside and enjoyed an always terrific dinner. It was quiet and not crowded.
Nothing but the best! Best Eggplant Parm in the State!
Poor excuse for Italian food. Horrible wine list -Primitivo is Zinfandel not Pinot noir!!
Great food. Relaxed environments.
Went to dinner for a birthday celebration. The other couple had never been before. They loved the food and the place. The owner is very friendly. The Pasta was very good the rice balls were good, and the salad was very fresh. The service could use a little work. They were not busy and it seemed like forever to get drinks and the server could have used a bit more training on speedier service. She was kind just seemed a bit shy and unsure of herself. When it became a bit busier, the owner should fill waters or bring bread to tables to help her out. Again he is very personable, however, help your staff by giving them the training they need to succeed. Loved it will go back again. If you don't like tight places, try the patio for dining.
Service was poor--the server abruptly plopped a pitcher of water down (with no glasses) and asked us "what we decided," without introducing herself, asking for our drink order, or asking if we had questions about the menu. She never followed up after our entrees were delivered to ask how we liked them. We were sat down behind a huge party and my husband had to constantly move his chair to accommodate the other server to move amongst that other table. She never approached our table again after delivering the entrees; we had to flag her down and ask for the check. The food was ok. Never going back again.
The Bologna’s Ragu was incredible. I’ve had in different places and this is amazing. Key lime torte wonderful.
First time at Giuseppe’s. We will go beck. The food was very fresh and yummy
We will return to this restaurant, it was very good.
The owner Giuseppe greeted us at the door and treated us like family. We saw him go table to table and interact with the diners without being intrusive. The food was outstanding. I had the chicken Parmesan which was flavorful and my wife had the lasagna which I was envious of. Will go again whenever we are back in the Phoenix area.
What a gem! The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and we had the best time. So happy I found this place. Highly recommend the chianti, the Avocado salad, and the spaghetti nero.
Outstanding food in a casual environment. Highly recommend
Richard Bock, Owner spent time with our table which was very generous.
Consistently the best Italian one can find in the Phoenix area. The eggplant parm is out of this world.
First time enjoyed the outside dining
Will recommend and return
We had a party of 4 and made reservations its a small restaurant! Food was hot and fresh. We would go there again
Great food at a reasonable price. Not much ambiance. Outdoor patio is very small and over looks a parking lot. Service is friendly, but very slow.
Exceptional all around. Can’t wait to go back soon.
Solid from start to finish.
Homemade pasta is such a treat
Enjoyed the meal and the jovial interaction with Chef Richard Bock. A delightful evening.
Food was amazing
Every meal we have ever had there has been excellent!
Always love dining here when we are in town from KC. Richard and Cindy do not disappoint! It’s a must if you are in Phoenix.
Great food and service, totally enjoyed our dining experience. We have recommended this place to several people since we dined there. We are here on vacation for two weekends, but certainly will consider going again before we return home.
Excellent food and limoncello martinis! Wonderful staff!
Wonderful to return
As an Italian, I rarely go out for Italian food. This place was amazing. The chef/owner was hospitable and checked on us often. The food was some of the best. You feel like you are in Italy after one bite. Highly recommend. We will be back
The baked ziti was the best I've ever had and I'm very picky. In most of the Italian restaurants I've been to, the tomato sauce tastes like they opened a can of sauce and heated it up but not here ... the sauce was perfect at Giuseppe's. Their hot flourless chocolate cake topped with a scoop of spumoni ice cream was like a lava cake except that the lava part seemed to run through the entire cake and I couldn't stop eating it. I will definitely be back again and again. I wish they were open for lunch.
