Need to book at 1:30 AM?Other great restaurants with availability.
Great dining experience. Food was excellent! You will not leave hungry. All of the wait staff was very nice.
Went for Restaurant Week. Food and service was great! Loved it!
Food was way too salty and we waited an hour just for our second course (pasta). Server was excellent though.
My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary, they made it so special. Quick service, all of the workers were very friendly! They brought out our desserts with sparklers, so nice.
Went durning ccd restaurant week. Increase value. We took home so much food. Great ambiance, service and food. We will return!
Heard it was good for restaurant week. Should know better... evening started with inattentive bar staff. Four bar tenders at downstairs bar. One immediately gave us bar menus and water, and the spent ten minutes talking to the couple beside us. Finally we had to hail another tender who made our drinks while making drinks for servers tables. Took 15 minutes to get two Negronis.
Dinner: since it was my birthday I decided to splurge on a nice bottle of wine. I asked to talk with the sommelier. I was told he/she was off tonight and so the assistant manager would help...nice guy but knew next to nothing about wine.
Food and Ambiance: I gotta say, the portions were huge, but I felt I was in Maggianos! While friendly the waitstaff was just average. Food was just ok. So many places in Philly to eat, just average at this place. Probably should have stayed away on restaurant week!
Great service and food. Definitely gonna come back
Had an amazing server on a really busy night for restaurant week. We had to leave early for a family emergency and they boxed all our food up that was very yummy even after! Will definitely be back
Amazing food with top notch service! Came in for Restaurant Week and definitely got bang for our buck. Family style portions made this a great place to enjoy a great meal with company.
Our food was wonderful. Everything came out fresh. Eric our waiter was on the ball and very helpful. Would absolutely return again
Been here several times and oof always excellent. Veal Marsala was not up to standard but all other fine. Drinks expensive.
Decor was beautiful. I went for restaurant week, I don’t like how they only do “family style” for the menu and you can’t individually choose your meal, the table has to agree on the food. The family style quantity definitely isn’t family style, is enough for 1 person. I didn’t enjoy the flavor of the food. The service was mediocre. I wouldn’t recommend to return, just my preference.
Restaurant week was a great deal, left very full with some leftovers. Everything was delicious. Only thing I did not enjoy was the clams pasta dish. Will definitely return and just avoid the one dish.
Never in my life had such poorly made Italian food. The two pasta dishes we ordered had SO MUCH lime juice and seasoning that the little I ate caused a blister in my mouth. The server was rushing us even though it was 5 PM and the restaurant was 1/3 full. We had a terrible experience overall. Won’t come back.
Awesome customer service and food is great and sever on point
Fantastic old style Italian meal, our new Philly fave!
It was awesome how the restaurant seems simple and quiet when you first arrive, but when you go down the stairs, the energy in the room is amazing.
The food was amazing. Will definitely be back. Would recommend the chicken parm, arancini, and meatballs.
Had a reservation for 8:45 PM and was seated at 9:15
Food was delicious. Drinks were good. Service was great. They seated us at our reservation time. Fantastic.
Awesome underground atmosphere! Delicious olde world Italian cuisine. Excellent appetizers and sides as well. Vibrant bar scene and waitstaff extremely helpful. Great neighborhood gem!
Love Schulson establishments usually. Not impressed with service and food quality. Waitress constantly tried to up sell us/not super attentive and food was just decent. At this price point I’d like to be able to say the food was great.
The server didn’t seem to know about the menu. I was gluten free and actually went back the next day and the another server offered me gluten free bread. It would of been nice if this server did that. She was very nice though and the good was delicious. I appreciate the gluten free options too!
Great food, service and ambience
Very well presented and great menu. Waiter Greg was great!
Too dark period. We walked into an empty restaurant and were seated in the worst possible table. It looked like a child’s tea party. We moved to the next table with special permission although the restaurant was empty. Server was excellent. His name is Eric. It was a poor dining experience
The drinks and the service was good.
The food was very sub par. The meatballs came out burnt, the pasta was watered down, pork chop was raw, even when they reheated them. The drinks were good and the service was good.
Its a shame because all the other restaurants the own are very good.
Honestly the best!!!
Food is excellent actually beyond excellent
The best Italian meal since Italy!!
Food was mediocre, kitchen lost our order and we waited 1 1/2 for our entree after being served appetizers. Waitress was not communicative and did not look our for us during this time. The asst manager comp'd the bill, but it was a bad overall experience.
I loved it, very much the place to see and be seen.
We arrived with a 6:15 reservation and walked through the entire, 60% empty dining room to a small, add-on back room filled, crowded and noisy. We asked if we could sit out in the main room, where there were mostly available tables, and was told by the hostess that it was not possible. We had brought a couple with us who had never eaten here because we thought it had a very nice ambiance. The dinner was fine and we had no problems vis-a-vis food or service except for the noisy room we were put in. My husband was seated so that he was able to look out at the very large main dining room throughout the meal. When we left around 8PM there were tables in the main dining room that were still empty and had not been utilized the entire time we were eating. Obviously the restaurant did not have all the tables reserved in their main dining room from 6:30-8. So I cannot explain why we could not have been seated there. We probably will not return.
Fantastic space, great food, and wonderful service. Really enjoyable as a couple or a group.
Amazing food, atmosphere & service. Definitely will be back!
Food was good. Hard to think this restaurant will survive if they don’t pick up their game though I’m with so many better restaurants in the area
We had dinner for 6 here on New Year's Eve. Traditionally not a banner night for a restaurant.
The meal was delicious. No special, overpriced menu, their regular offerings. Service was prompt, table was lovely. Great night! Remember to save room for dessert...the budino was amazing!
New Year’s Eve dinner with son and husband. Very comfortable- all ages and many families. We sat in a back room which felt sort of isolated but overall very nice pre-orchestra dinner on a busy night. Appreciated the good service!
The service was a bit uneven. The main waiter was superb but the other help staff was a bit under trained. But that did not detract from the food or the overall experience. Great ingredients well done. Huge "Nona" sized family portions for a great price. It must be volume that allows this place to stay in business. Great overall experience.
Pasta dishes were overdone. Linguine fra diavolo, both the shrimp and pasta were overdone. Tasty and good flavor but overcooked.
Appetizers were delicious with fresh mozzarella and roast peppers and arancini
