Great waiter and service
Nice wine list that is affordable
Nive place with good food and service fun night
Reservation at 8:45pm, but not seated until 9:30pm without explanation or reassurance from staff. However, once sat, manager (?) apologized and delivered several appetizers on the house. Overall good experience.
2nd time eating here....food was excellent both times. Come hungry
We celebrated two birthdays here and the food and service were phenomenal. Our waiter was most patient and answered our questions and also provided us with alternate meal options and suggestions. The food was fresh and delicious. It was a great night!!
15th birhtday “ quinceañera”
Initially we were seated near the bar at a table and the chair and booth had us sitting at awkward heights compared to each other. We asked to switch tables and we were able to do so. The food was absolutely delicious and the tiramisu was the best I’ve had!
The food is delicious and the service was fantastic.
No No No don’t do it! Expensive and not good Italian for Philadelphia! Save a lot of money and go to South Philly for way better Italian. Nice restaurant but service and food is a no go!
The restaurant itself is beautiful I loved the industrial lighting and the brick face on the walls. The bar was beautiful . The meatballs were delicious! We had the seafood fra Diavlo And the eggplant parm. I would definitely recommend this restaurant
Food was excellent, ambience and service were great as well!!
Four friends went to a matinee at the Philadelphia Orchestra. We had a Happy Hour drink upstairs at Giuseppe’s then at 5:00 we were seated downstairs. The restaurant has wonderful ambience. Our server was excellent and the food, delicious ! It was a bit pricey with all sides optional. Nonetheless, it was a fun dinner!
The Sunday Gravy is life changing.
Greeting was kind and efficient - table was ready even thought they were busy and server was super friendly and helpful - food spot on as usual.
The lower level of the restaurant was a comfortable, cozy area to enjoy a meal and conversation.
My customers and I had a good experience, would definitely return!
I decided to come alone so I could just sit on my iPad and enjoy a wonderful dinner and it was everything I had hoped for. The happy hour was great and I had the gnocchi and it was amazing. Definitely bringing friends back here for happy hour!
The food was spectacular. The ambiance is very nice and servers are attentive. We loved the tomato pie, appetizers and dinner. Portions are quite big. Appetizer meatballs are gigantic and almost as big as an entree! Highly recommend!
Great food, great atmosphere, and a great time. Really enjoyed the experience.
Fantastic. Amazing. Incredible. The food was truly excellent, the service was unmatched, and the location was great. It's definitely not a quiet place, with the vaulted ceiling that really carries sound around the room
Terrible food. Expect more from schloson
Great food in a good environment. Excellent service. Some portions are small but well described by the waitress. Will definitely be back
This place has such a fun vibe and gorgeous aesthetics. And AMAZING food! The table-side mozzarella was super cool and yummy, the bread was delish and the cacio e pepe arancini were to die for. Tiny, but really packed a punch! We were a group of vegetarians, so can't speak to the meat or fish options, but the pasta dishes were divine (tried the gnocchi and tortelloni), all handmade! And the desserts (brownie sundae - just a few pieces of brownie with gelato, so not too rich, budino and chocolate sorbetto) were fantastic. We were celebrating two birthdays and we each got a sparkler (no awful group singing :)) in our dessert. Such fun! When we arrived downstairs, it was very noisy as the check in desk was right by the bar. I asked if they might have a table in a quieter part of the restaurant and they took care of us! Away from the bar is much less noisy and very enjoyable. And I just have to give a shout out to one of the prettiest ladies rooms I've ever seen.
food was very good.
Portion size was excellent.
We were there prior to seeing a show.
Please give yourself at least 2 hours to dine.
Will go back and enjoy a leisure dinner.
mozzarella cheese was delish!
champagne was cold and bubbly
pasta al dente!
can't wait to be back!
Amazing service by Greg. The food, as always, was amazing! But Greg was outstanding, he was attentive, informative, knowledgeable and easy on the eyes. Great service, great food, great restaurant.
Celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary! Wonderful experience, great food, great service!
It was a beautiful restaurant, and the food was delicious. My biggest complaint was the service. Our tables were not cleared, and the food did not all come out at the same time.
The last review I gave for Giuseppe and Sons was 5 star. And I’m sad that this review isn’t. We were so looking forward to our second time dining here....but it wasn’t up to par. Our server was very pleasant and funny but the food was lacking. I ordered the beet salad again, but this time it was flavorless. It took forever for our entrees to come out. So long so that I thought they were forgotten about. When they did arrive, my gnocchi was cold along the perimeter and hot in the middle. I wasn’t about to send it back because I was starving. The wine we ordered was apparently not available and we were told the wine menu was ancient. The sommelier did recommend a good replacement. I ordered an espresso and glass of amaretto with dessert and once again, it took way too long for the espresso to arrive. We understand that some nights things do not go smoothly. This just seemed like a lot of bumps for a restaurant of this caliber. All in all, I would highly recommend.
We had a nice meal at Giuseppe & Sons on a Saturday evening. Our server knew we had to be at a theater and made sure our food arrived in a timely but not rushed way. We were a party of 4 and shared artichoke hearts, tuna crudo, ceasar salad and beet salad as appetizers. All were delicious. The largest was the ceasar salad. We shared 4 entrees: eggplant parmigiana, halibut, gnocchi and tortelloni. All tasted wonderfully but I think my favorites were the tortelloni (so light with the ricotta filling) and the halibut. We did not have time for dessert. The house carafe of red was affordable and quite good for the price.
So much food, great service and an amazing atmosphere make for an amazing dinner!! Will definitely come back.
Great italian with ambiance; would definitely recommend.
Food was very good, love the atmosphere
Always a great meal
Service was very quick and the wait staff pleasant. The food was good, some of the dishes were average: arrancani was very plain. Stay away from the desserts, none of them were good, which was an unfortunate end to an otherwise good dinner.
Great space, great service, great menu and food! Can’t wait to go back!
Service and food were outstanding. Loved the table side mozzarella preparation!
I was disappointed with dinner. The pasta was overcooked and extremely salty.
The chicken marsala was good, but the chicken parm was just okay.
Wine list was good, though a bit pricy for the vintages.
