Wonderful meal, excellent service, 10/10!
Atmosphere was cool. Waitress Courtney was attentive and kind. She made our night. Tuna crudo and shrimp scampi were delicious. Best ricotta I’ve ever had in the tortelloni. Rigatoni alla vodka was tasty and al dente. Veal parm was tasty but a little chewy. Broccoli rabe side was well seasoned. Tiramisu dessert was light and delicious. We will be back.
Great! Food is good. They really offer a nice selection for Restaurant Week. Was able to bring home some leftovers.
Our server, Brittany was amazing! Checked on us just enough, our water glasses were never empty, great conversation!
Amazing food and service!! Tables need to be bigger though so all plates can fit.
Can’t say enough good things about this place. We were late for our reservation because we were stuck in construction traffic during rush hour so we called to let them know. No problem, we had a 15 minute grace period. Then because we were late I was now in a pinch to be in and out in an hour. I let the server know up front and apologized for the fire drill. No problem, they told the kitchen not to course everything out and really nailed the fast paced dinner I was hoping for. I again apologized for rushing everyone but they were so understanding and happy to accommodate. Styled nicely with great ambiance.
The food was phenomenal. I haven’t had a meal in a long time that I enjoyed as much as this tasting menu and I dine in restaurants 4-5 times per week. Simple Italian American style food, done right. Very well executed! Great family style portions and plenty of left overs to bring home.
My boyfriend and I had an excellent time taking advantage of Giuseppe and Sons restaurant week specials. We did not leave hungry!! There was a bit of a wait (10-15m) to be seated for our 8:45 reservation, but the hostess was professional and we enjoyed a drink in the cozy bar area while waiting. The food was incredible and the service was lovely. I have already recommended it to several friends since dining there just a few days ago. We will be returning!
We tried Guiseppe and Sons for restaurant week and can't wait to come back for the full menu. The favorite appetizer was the octopus - at the time I really wished there was more to this dish, but by the end of the pasta course, I was glad the portion of the octopus wasn't any bigger. I heard great things about the Sunday Gravy, which was very good, but we actually liked the tortelloni pasta even better! The veal marsala entree was fantastic too. We will definitely be back for the regular menu - which seemed fairly priced and had a good variety.
I can't say enough good things about our visit to Giuseppe & Sons. We went for the first time last night during Restaurant Week. We have been going to Center City Restaurant week for many years and for the most part have never had a bad meal...but a lot of places provide smaller portions and a limited menu during the promotional pricing time. Not the case for this restaurant. The courses are served family style and include four courses. By the time the main course came out, we were already full. So first and foremost I would highly recommend trying for Restaurant week...but we will be back to try some of the other entrees outside of this. We had beef carpaccio and meatballs for our appetizer/salad course. Both were very tasty and good portion size. Ricotta tortelloni and Rigatoni alla vodka for the pasta course - not huge portions but both were very filling and just enough. Main course was chicken parmigiana that filled the whole plate. After the other courses, I was expecting a smaller portion so we were happy to have leftovers for lunch today. Very unassuming from the outside but this is actually a pretty big restaurant.
Highly recommend and we can't wait to go back!

After being seated and being explained the menu, we were given time to look things over. When our waiter came back to take our drink order we were informed they were "sold out" of BOTH of their house red and house white. How convenient, during restuarant week to be SOLD OUT of both of your cheapest wines. I wish they had be honest and just said that it wasn't being offered because of the restaurant week special, I would have respected that a lot more. Overall, the food was good not great. Our Swordfish was rubbery and dry, and the Rigatonia ala vodka was overly salty but the housemade noodles on the tagliotelle were great. I would go back for Happy Hour and small plates but not a full meal.

The food was delicious, we had a great variety for resturant week. I went with my husband and the very small 2 person table had 1 person sitting in a chair and one on a low couch. I am personally not a fan of couch sitting when out to a nice dinner.
The both pasta dishes were phenomenal!
Felt like i was purposely placed in a special seating area based on our looks but besides that....

The food was outstanding and all of our servers were not only nice, but very helpful and actually seemed happy to be working there. The only thing that was a small minus was the lighting. It was slightly too dark, which made it hard to comfortably read the menu.
Great service from Chelsea, restaurant week was a great deal and the cocktails were excellent.
I expressed a concern for seating which was handles very well. The food was outstanding, service excellent. I can not say enough about what a great experience

Food was great . But the service wasn’t . When we were seated we weren’t greeted for like 15 mins . Our wine was brought to use until after we were done our apps . Other then that i enjoyed the restaurant
The food was good, however the pasta dishes were disappointingly on the small side and needed SALT! The service was really slow, not sure if they were understaffed but we were waiting about 20 minutes for drinks and sat most of our meal with empty glasses and had to repeadely ask for new place settings after they were cleared between courses. We also were served our side dish with our appetizers so our main course was served alone. I'd go again because the food was solid but they need some work in the service department.

We went during restaurant week and we were late to our reservation and the staff was still so accommodating and helpful. The food was AMAZING and our server could not have been more pleasant and attentive. Not to mention we had several servers and staff management come by to ask us if we needed anything. I can not wait to go back and was incredibly pleased with our entire dining experience.
Went for restaurant week. Was greeted by wonderful people, cared for by them and fed by them. food was FABULOUS. Like your home table in Tuscany! Gotta go! You will not be disappointed.

Everything was great! Our server Erik was very personable and attentive.
The only thing I would change is pink sofas for seating. The height of the sofa is too low and does not match the height of the chair opposite the table. It’s an awkward height to eat. The table is higher than my arms and hands.
Food was great and we had a great time! It was loud and hard to hear the server at time but otherwise no complaints
This was my first visit (for restaurant week) and was blown away! I appreciate that everyday items were included on the menu and I was able to experience all Giuseppe & Sons has to offer. I will definitely be back again ... and again ... and again.
Our first time sitting in the very back dining room. Gets a little noisy.
Food was excellent but a bit pricey for the amount received. Waitress forgot 1/2 of our salad - it was on two plates for our table of 5. Great wine and ambiance but a bit noisy as the place was completely full. Biggest disappointment was only tiramisu for dessert on Restaurant week. I would go again!
I went to Giuseppe & Sons for Restaurant Week with two friends. It was a delightful time, with delicious food. The tasting menu was perfect for the three of us, but any more and it would likely have been too little. The ambiance of the restaurant is also outstanding, and the house red is highly recommended!

Food was way too salty and we waited an hour just for our second course (pasta). Server was excellent though.
My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary, they made it so special. Quick service, all of the workers were very friendly! They brought out our desserts with sparklers, so nice.
Went durning ccd restaurant week. Increase value. We took home so much food. Great ambiance, service and food. We will return!
Heard it was good for restaurant week. Should know better... evening started with inattentive bar staff. Four bar tenders at downstairs bar. One immediately gave us bar menus and water, and the spent ten minutes talking to the couple beside us. Finally we had to hail another tender who made our drinks while making drinks for servers tables. Took 15 minutes to get two Negronis.
Dinner: since it was my birthday I decided to splurge on a nice bottle of wine. I asked to talk with the sommelier. I was told he/she was off tonight and so the assistant manager would help...nice guy but knew next to nothing about wine.
Food and Ambiance: I gotta say, the portions were huge, but I felt I was in Maggianos! While friendly the waitstaff was just average. Food was just ok. So many places in Philly to eat, just average at this place. Probably should have stayed away on restaurant week!

Had an amazing server on a really busy night for restaurant week. We had to leave early for a family emergency and they boxed all our food up that was very yummy even after! Will definitely be back
