Giuseppe & Sons
A dining experience like I’ve never had—friendly and knowledgeable staff from the moment you walk in, intimate atmosphere, phenomenal happy hour menu. It was our first time at Giuseppe’s, and our server made us feel right at home. We decided to try many of her recommendations—cocktails (Palma Fizz!!!), calamari, gnocchi, and meatballs. ALL DELICIOUS. Thank you, Britney G! We will be back!!!
Gorgeous atmosphere, super fun music, great waitress, amazing food. I’d go back for dinner with friends or a drink at the downstairs bar- gorgeous setting.
The food was amazing, the ambiance was great, and our server was great. It’s in a perfect spot, and everything was spot on. Highly recommend.
Ye - but the noise level was high. My crab and pasta had no crab but everyone else loved their dish!
My only complaint was that my fish was served over "room temperature" vegetables. They were cold vegetables, and when the fish was placed on top of them, I was eating hot fish with cold potatoes. The fish and vegetables were delicious but the cold and hot together was very disappointing. Our server, Travis, was such a great guy and extremely informative about the menu that he made up for the chef's error in making an incorrect combo of different temperatures for my meal. The room is absolutely beautiful and arranged very nicely.
We were seated in a tiny area above floor level and over a large space below floor level. I started sniffling. We ordered an appetizer and two entrees, all served at once. Food was good. I’m now coughing and sniffling. Needed to try the Termini dessert, so we split an order of tiramisu. A white layer cake arrived. This was nothing like tiramisu ... not a smidge of chocolate dust. At the next table was a full serving of fake “tiramisu”. We won’t be fooled next time since there won’t be a next time. A staff member escorted us to the hidden elevator telling us to eat more next time. Outside, the sniffling and coughing stopped immediately.
Hello, Thank you very much for your feedback on your recent experience with us. I am sad to hear about the tiramisu and would like to speak with you directly. My personal number is 267-251-7127. Thank you, Anthony Santini General Manager of Giuseppe and Sons
Nice ambiance. Food tastes good. Relatively slow service.
Very nice accommodation for my Vegan wife. second time eating there. My favorite is your outrageously great Caesar Salad
Anthony takes great care of us!
Our server Brittany was awesome! Very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Awesome!
My experience was excellent! My friend and I chose to do the chefs tasting for $45 per person and it was well worth it. You get an ample amount of shareable plates. Everything was delicious and even our waiter made a great mocktail for me as I am pregnant. Nothing but good things to say about this place!
Beautiful restaurant great food great service
An almost perfect experience. The bar is beautiful. The room is so fantastic. They met my request for a booth and great table.
The food is delicious and plentiful. My only criticisms is the way the food comes out.
As soon as we got our pasta course, all are main dishes arrived. There wasn't enough room on the table for everything. Also never received any bread, even after asking for it twice.
No big deal we will be back. It's an awesome place.
fabulous food. service was good at the beginning of our dinner but as the restaurant got busier, we seemed to lose our waiter.
Ambiance was amazing. Deserts from Teremini Bros. were exceptional as always.
This was my first time at Giuseppe & Sons and I loved it! Our server, Mark (Marc?) was s champ, thoroughly explaining the menu and answering all questions we had, plus he was friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to go back!! Also, important to note that the food was delicious
Gorgeous space, awful service. Two visits, same experience. The waiter mispronounced items on the menu and talked us into over ordering, stressing their sharing concept. Waited so long for grated cheese to top off our pasta that we had to begin eating so it wouldn't get cold. The table should have been cleaned of crumbs and small spills before the desert menus were put down. Not sure I understand why sides are brought out with the appetizers when a serving of broccoli rabe is clearly meant to be eaten with the entree. That said, the downstairs room is an amazing space, the food is quite good, not as good as the hype. After two tries, not looking to return so quickly. Really wanted to like this place more than we did.
The food and service was terrific. We came at 5:30 and the hostess want to seat us at a small table. We asked for a booth and she was reluctant ( we have reservations she said but the restaurant was empty and huge) the waiter said yes no problem. Thank goodness he did because there was so much food! There would have been no place to put it on a small table!
The food was out of this world. My daughter had the clams and I had the chicken Milanese. Service was top notch.
The only feed back I would give the owners is get bigger tables for your two tops.
Service was awesome
We did the chef’s tasting. It was a great deal.
We have dined here before and loved it. Now Anthony Santini is the General Mgr and what a great fit. The place just reached the next level. Anthony will make you feel like you are family, his hospitality is what a joint like this needs. The food was as before excellent. The only sad thing was no more braciole on the menu. The veal chop parm melts in your mouth and the scallops were off the hook! This is real Italian food with a great wine list too. With the addition of Mr. Santini Giuseppe & Sons has moved into our #1 Philly spot. A great spot just got better! Kudos to Schulson's for a great hire.
Perfect hidden spot. The restaurant is actually in the basement. Its really nice and romantic. We did the chef’s tasting which is a great deal. I recommend the veal parmiggiana. I would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Philly.
Beat service and amazing food, try the meatballs if you visit!
The food and service were excellent. It was almost too dark to read the menu but once your eyes adjust its ok. I had a specialty cocktail and it was incredible. Great place for a special occasion.
Table for two is small but cozy. Restaurant was mostly empty so the host could have given us a bigger table.
But overall it was great.
Our server Lauren was perfect.
Until next time.
Beautiful restaurant downstairs. Full round out seats (8 seat capacity)that you see in old Italian or Chinese eateries.
GREAT service. The food...magnificent. Price excellent. Did I ALSO say that drinks 10th n tasker is the Best on drink menu. Philly fave.
This restaurant was great! The atmosphere was great for a night out with friends or a date night. The service was excellent as the waiters came to the table continuously. A special shoutout to manager Aaron who was incredibly kind and made sure our experience was wonderful. Would highly recommend!!
Start to finish great experience. Very attentive and professional waitstaff.
Bone in veal parm amazing!!
We went to Giuseppe & Sons for the first time for both my and my friend's birthdays. The environment was amazing. Loved the layout and setup! Our server, Malaya, was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable and offered recommendations. She had great timing and was super helpful. Our food was delicious! Malaya recommended doing 2-3 plates per person and sharing, if we were not doing the $45 price fix. We did a la carte. For appetizers we all split the meatballs, arancini, burrata and shrimp scampi. One person got a caesar salad as well. For entrees we had linguine with clams, salmon with asaparagus and the gnocci. Then for dessert we split a slice of cake, which they brought out with a sparkler for our birthdays. We discovered at the end of the night that it was Malaya's first night working there. We would have never known. I would HIGHLY recommend Giuseppe & Sons and will definitely be back!
Everything was just great. The service, good the restaurant itself is wonderful. We will certainly go back.
Absolutely unique interior design and awesome food, service and mixology. 6+ stars if they were available to award.
Great experience and excellent food. I was sat 15 min after my reservation, I was having a drink at the bar and honestly didn’t even realize the delay till the GM came to our table and apologized for being sat “late”. The attention to detail to notice something like that as the GM on a Friday evening with a full restaurant was very impressive. The food is on point, service was excellent and we left very happy. I grew up here and visit the city often. I’ll be back.
Great place to connect with friends. Straightforward modern Italian done well in a beautiful atmosphere. You can bring anyone here and have a good time.
Really good spot. Don’t be deterred by the pizza shop front, downstairs is a really cool spot/dining area. All the meals were really good (one exception, the sea bass, which my daughter didn’t like and t all). Other than that, everything was great. So glad we tried a new spot!
Our waiter Mark helped make the night great with his suggestions. Very personable.
Excellent!! Everything was delicious!
Food was good nothing blew me away. Waitress was good a little too much hovering. Cocktail I had was good.
Service was slow on a Tuesday night, and I had it booked for our anniversary and they did nothing special. Food was great though!
Amazing on all points. Food was amazing. Had the meatballs and gravy. Was like eating Grandmoms. The gnocchi were light as a feather. Bronzino was prepared like I never had before. Loved everything. And the service was 5 star. Will def go back. Absolutely recommend.
The food was very good. Three of us shared the grilled octopus entree, the sea Bass, scallops and clam linguini mains and they were all very tasty. This was a Sunday evening so it was not at all noisy and we could easily conduct a conversation
We loved the restaurant but a bit too dark and cold (high AC). Food was great but on the salty side.
