Chef, Evan — the staff on Sunday evening were most attentive, accommodating, friendly and gave me excellent service! My appetizer meatball to the chicken pesto pizza was made with LOVE! Ingredients were used of the highest quality and carefully prepared that brought out the natural well-balanced, flavors of each dish. Thank you for making my evening memorable in a beautifully designed, modern ambience. I will be back.👍👍👍👍👍
The pizza was a bit overdone, but the shrimp scallop Tagliatelle was sooo good, but the service killed it as the waiter was inexperienced and the food took over 20 minutes to come out in a restaurant that had only 5 people in it. The other couple just left in disgust.
They were out of Coke for our rum and coke. They were out of pizza dough for pizza. We were out of many dishes. It was very weird. The pasta was okay but nothing too special.
The kitchen was running out of everything. During happy hour no calamari or truffle fries no tagliatelle pasta for the shrimp and scallops. Poor draft list
Haven’t been here in awhile and booked reservations tonight to celebrate my sisters birthday with family! It was beyond! The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a flow of drinks, food, and laughter. The ambience is perfect for large parties or date nights. Food is superb and the staff are amazing. Parking was easy at the bloc. Thank you Giulia for an amazing evening. I’m sure we will be back soon.

Did not end up mentioning the reservation because the place was empty. I had stopped by before with a friend and was pleasantly surprised. Again it was empty but the food was excellent and the both times the waiters were very friendly and attentive. I have to mention the interior art nouveau bar is BEAUTIFUL as are some of the inspired details like the accompanying barstools. Having said that there is some very VERY random and tacky styling going on with color changing LED lighting, fake flowers, water fountains— you name it. It’s a shame because it is an amazing space and takes away from the really unique elements that could set it apart. Will definitely come back for the food and service though!

The restaurant was empty and their Caesar salad didn’t have anchovies although menu stated they had them; they ran out. But our bartender was great (we sat at the bar); best cocktails!
Service took an hour and the food wasn’t that good
Giulia was quiet with few diners, as such, one would expect better faster service.
Another DTLA restaurant that provides mediocre food at a semi-premium price. Unripe tomatoes on the caprese salad to start. An interesting sounding rigatoni that sounded good but didn't deliver. Watery and amateurish. Waitperson was not polished - came far too often to bug us for our order in the beginning. You need to read your customers. Also was unable to properly scan my credit card to pay. Had to use another card due to her locking up the other one. Would definitely not recommend to a friend.
Food was good. It was not crowded at all plus the restaurant was understaffed for lunch and service was a bit slow. Nice interior but the choice of music was a bit off. It was as if it was trying to be a 10:30pm cocktail lounge and dance club rather than a place for a nice Italian Lunch
Very slow. In fact, 2 of 5 entrees came after the other 3 had been completed. Plus, none of it seemed fresh, tasty or authentic. Service was less than average. Overall, it was a poor choice.
Only 1 waitress for the entire restaurant plus she was expected to seat people too. Wine was decanted at the bar. When we insisted on seeing the bottle they brought an empty that we had not ordered and then proceeded to tell us that it was our fault. After ordering another bottle and insisting it be opened at the table, the waitress opened a high end Barolo and then promptly put the cork back in the bottle. Appetizers, salad and main course were all served simultaneously. Pasta dish was supposed to have Brussel sprouts but was served with asparagus instead. Restaurant was advertised as ‘high end Italian’ but ambiance was a sports bar with large screen TVs in the bar area, separated from dining area by a short wall.
Run, don’t walk away from Giulia Kitchen.
It was oddly quiet but enjoyed the food and service!
Just so-so. Went because a friend of mine recommended it but the pasta was mediocre. The service was fine but there are plenty of other places in DTLA that have much better and more flavorful pasta for the same price or cheaper. Definitely did not impress. Also, the ladies bathroom was dirty and did not have toilet paper. I wouldn't go back.
Worst waiter we've ever had. First when we ordered a bottle of wine, he just brought it to the table and we had no chance to taste it first. We had to fill up our own glasses. After we finished our starter, the main dish came directly. And when we were still eating our main dish, he came to ask if we would like to have a dessert. When we said no he brought the bill (still eating). So when we finished eating (starter and main dish) in 30 minutes, we still had half a bottle of wine. The waiter came every 2 minutes to check if we were ready to pay or already paid. We decided to skip the tip for the first day after 10 days of holiday, cause the service was horrible. While we were walking to our hotel, he ran outside to ask why we only gave 2 dollar tip on a 108$ bill. We explained about the way he served us. We thought maybe he will apologie or understand why we were not happy, but instead of that he said we were never welcome again.
