Chef Stephanie Izard and her team are thrilled to join LA’s vibrant restaurant community and continue our tradition of serving tasty, bold-flavored foods in a fun and lively family-style setting. A few favorites, like goat empanadas and sautéed green beans, will be back on the menu. Stephanie and her team have also crafted new dishes inspired by California produce and local flavors, like carrot-tahini dip with tahini tofu, and curried goat with radishes, pickled vegetables, and masa chips. To enhance the experience we offer a selection of wines from around the world with a focus on small producers, a rotating list of craft beers, and a list of fun cocktails created by our bartenders.

Located in the Arts District at 555 Mateo, Girl & the Goat offers dinner service Monday through Sunday, plus brunch Sunday. Girl & the Goat accepts reservations but always welcomes walk-ins, nomads and adventurers!

Highly recommend seating inside for your first time. We were seated outside and didn't realize the place was such a vibe until we went in to use the restroom. Food presentation was excellent and service was good. Enjoyed the unique dish ideas. Took longer to get our cocktail that it did our food, but it wasn't too bad. Overall it was a good experience and I would definitely go back and ask for inside seating.

Second time coming to G & the G and again an amazing culinary experience. Ordered This Little Piggy, the Pork Belly Chapchae to die for and the Potato Crepe absolutely divine 😋. Highly recommend this restaurant for an astonishing culinary experience.

Absolutely abhorrent service. We waited 40 minutes for our reservation with no communication. We were told we would be “taken care of,” but that never happened. The service was bad overall (aside from the excellent bidder). The food was good, but nothing extraordinary or unusual. I was so looking forward to the evening and was sorely disappointed.

Great food and even better service. You can tell the servers and waiters have an appreciation for the food they serve. If you’re planning on coming here, I’d be weary of weather. We went on a really windy night and that was the only negative (which was out of the restaurant’s control).

This was the best meal I’ve had in at least 4 years. Truly exceptional, and so happy I luckily/randomly chose this restaurant fairly last minute for my birthday dinner. New favorite restaurant! Also loved the kids menu, especially the chickpea fritters, but we ordered all 3 items just to make sure toddler was happy and all 3 items were a hit and surprisingly economical.

The whole experience was amazing!!! I made a reservation for 6 and last moment, our group grew to 8. They were very accommodating. Our server was fantastic! I was the only vegetarian in our group and the server who also happened to be vegetarian suggested a dish that was not on the menu. It was a mushroom dish with naan and dips and it was DELICIOUS!

Great meal overall, but didn’t agree with the 5 dishes for 2 people. We were stuffed and had no room to try desserts. The food was delicious and we also had a couple of the cocktails, which were great too. The bread with the goat liver mousse was dreamy and that appetizer won “Best bite” for me. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant!

Amazing food and drink! Have been there several times. There was a mistake in our food this past time, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we still had an incredible time. Would highly recommend Girl and the Goat over and over again.

Outstanding food, once again. Every dish was really good and innovative. Really appreciate how they meld flavors from different cuisines - makes the dishes unique. Carrot hummus with the naan is amazing. Crispy pork shank and goat curry were also really good. And the hamachi poke. And most other things on their menu. Wine list has very interesting good wines. Service was good. Can get loud, but we were in a corner so not too bad, and definitely less noisy than some other places in the area. One of my favorite restaurants.

We came to celebrate my partner’s birthday with friends and had a great time! Our server was amazing and the food was delicious. My only complaint is that despite calling ahead of time and confirming the special event accommodations, our requests were not honored. Other than that, the space was beautiful and everyone was super friendly.

Took my mom to brunch on a Sunday. It was lovely! The menu was fun, the vibe was SoCal cool but casual and comfortable. Staff was so attentive and the food was delicious. A special dining experience for sure!

Just wanted great food and nice space to connect with a friend. The staff is always amazing here. Claire took especially great care of us. 10/10 would recommend and will return many times. We had the goat curry (so good in all the ways. The crispy layers were so perfect), green beans (solid and a perfect add on to the meal), chick pea appetizer (wow!) and the marinated miatake mushroom wraps (take all my money). Everything was perfect and I’m looking forward to next time.

Girl & The Goat have been on my bucket list for a while now. It did not disappoint. The food was AMAZING!! Seriously, wow. I'd say this is a special occasion place for those wanting to celebrate a birthday or whatever special occasion is happening. Food came out timely, was paced well. It is sharing style so you will get to experience a lot of what they offer. The food is rich so don't worry you will be full or at least satisfied with the servers instructions on how much to eat for your party. Definitely recommend.

Loved it. Was looking for a location that had a fun & inspiring menu, bold flavors, and a great ambiance... which turned out to narrow things down more than I expected! G&TG delivers on all fronts. Seriously, I'm still thinking about this food. That goat liver mousse (with the jam it comes with!) is gonna haunt me for the rest of my days.
