Chef Stephanie Izard and her team are thrilled to join LA’s vibrant restaurant community and continue our tradition of serving tasty, bold-flavored foods in a fun and lively family-style setting. A few favorites, like goat empanadas and sautéed green beans, will be back on the menu. Stephanie and her team have also crafted new dishes inspired by California produce and local flavors, like carrot-tahini dip with tahini tofu, and curried goat with radishes, pickled vegetables, and masa chips. To enhance the experience we offer a selection of wines from around the world with a focus on small producers, a rotating list of craft beers, and a list of fun cocktails created by our bartenders.

Paying with the new QR Code system did not match the caliber of this restaurant. As a hosted business dinner, having to navigate and process this transaction at the table took away from the full-service expectation and took me away from my business guests and conversation. A well presented check with option to use a QR code should be imprinted on the receipt and a fee for processing a digital phone transaction should be complimentary for a restaurant in this cost tier range. Food was great as always, service and ambiance A+, but this payment thing really put a damper on this particular experience.

truly exceptional meal! The roasted oysters in sausage butter were tender, creamy and just the right amount of brininess! Best cooked oyster I ve ever eaten. Goat curry was not at all gamey tasting but the star of the show was the deeply lacquered pork shank! Amazing

Service was excellent and attentive. However, I found the food to be a bit too in-your-face. Every dish was heavily salty, sweet, sour, fatty, but not in a way that felt balanced. It was all very one-noted (loud) and lacking any subtlety. The space was very welcoming and comfortable.

Overall a pretty place to have a lovely, laid back dinner. Food was great (highly recommend the cornbread and the beet salad), service was efficient and friendly. Great place for dinner with friends or a cute date. We ate outside in November and it was nice and toasty with the heaters on.

Wouldn’t change thing except I would make it a little quieter. Services exceptional food is even better. Place is gorgeous. I love going to restaurants where you get incredible food that you would never make yourself. But we had to scream at each other to be heard. that’s the only blip in a perfect evening

food is great. 4 small plates to share for 2 people was adequate. Great place to mix carnivores with vegetarians. Sesame ice cream was just ok in my book but I don’t like too much creativity with my ice cream. very good attention to detail. they read my requests online and fulfilled all of them. mushroom dish, skirt steak, green beans and beets were excellent. Negatives were: no advance notice for surcharge on the bill, parking lot is not $10 flat until 6pm so if you are going to Disney Hall as we were and arrive at 5:30, parking with be $16. Since there is no validation, I think this is high when you are not getting valet parking and self parking. Arts district and its restaurants need to rethink their parking offerings as we all have plenty of options elsewhere. This is a big enough point with me that I may not return. My daughter lives in Chicago and loves Stephanie’s restaurants and we went there because she was in town.

Ok, this meal was amazing. Started with the cornbread, so delicious. The pork shank and the pork belly were so well cooked. The pork fell off the bone. Ended with the popcorn butter cake dessert. This meal was simply delicious from beginning to end.

Our server Emma was amazing from the word go, on point with wine, menu suggestions and quantity of side dishes! We were very lucky and pleased with the goat special of smoked shoulder and braised for two days with two sides, chickpea flatbreads, naan and 5 sauces to enjoy! Best dog I have had in years! The Girl and the Goat is one our new fav’s and have told at least 15 of our friends and neighbors about the restaurant! Keep up the great experience!

This place is as good if not better than the original location in Chicago which we loved. The service was outstanding. Freddie waited on us hand and foot. The food was insane. We ordered several dishes and each surpassed our expectations. One of the best in the downtown area.

Naan/dips, blueberry/pepper cornbread and goat curry were all delicious. Lots of different flavors and textures that I can't remember nearly half the ingredients every waiter listed. Service is slow and they will not honor request that all food be brought out at the same time, although the waiter said ok. Be ready to wait at least 10-15 minutes after reservation time to be seated. I went to celebrate someone's birthday so I chose birthday as the occasion during the reservation process, but I don't know how that affects service or food. I was starting to think that we'd be getting ice cream with a candle in it since I saw a bunch of those flying out of the kitchen, but I guess not.

The food was impeccable. Not your everyday meals but unique flavor combinations that you can’t get enough of. It’s a sharing menu FDA I we ordered around 8 dishes for 4 people and it was the perfect amount of food. Service was stellar. If you’re Vegan just let them know and they will happily modify some of the dishes for you and even bring it on a separate plate and make the rest of the dish as is for others who don’t need it to be vegan.

First time here and I LOVE this place. The food is delicious, very creative dishes, and the place is beautiful. I was skeptical about dining in downtown LA because it has become so run down, sketchy and such a xxxx-show, which makes me sad because I worked in downtown 15 years ago and it was growing and exciting. This place is in the arts district though, east of the heart of downtown, and it's a night and day atmosphere. Very CLEAN, trendy, and I felt completely safe. I can't wait to come back.

People are very friendly, and the overall service is excellent. In general, the food is very delicious, but it's just too salty. I kept drinking water until the end; this kind of strongly flavored food is not very suitable for elder. The entire restaurant is about 80% full, but it's not noisy.

One waitress was telling us that “there is someone waiting for your table” before we checked the bill. It’s so disrespectful and ridiculous when we were eating our brunch at the restaurant I made the reservation. It looks like they want everyone to finish the food in 30 minutes.
