I have been dreaming about visiting Stephanie's restaurant for many years and am happy to share that she did not disappoint! I cannot wait to visit The Girl & The Goat again!!!
The ambiance is great and the Pig Face dish is a must-try!
Great food and ambiance! It closes a little bit early at night
It was really good, it was actually special and not just another fancy dinner.
It's an expensive experience though, cost the most of any dinner I've ever done, and by as very wide margin.
Every bite was incredible and the service fantastic. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in Chicago!
It exceeded my expectations
Dishes are well made but small and expensive
Fantastic start to finish. Great service. Halibut was the best I’ve ever had. Pork shank was phenomenal. Dessert was far better than we’d expected. Empanadas were really good, but the pork face wasn’t as great as the hype would suggest. Cocktails were all amazing. Will definitely come back and sample se more things, but would be compelled to get the halibut and pork shank again.
Chicago staple, just as good now as ever. Best for groups!
Increíble lugar todo deliciosoo
Granted, we had a late seating, but one of our courses was missed and we lost 20 minutes getting it - then dessert took a long time to arrive - we were rushed through dessert. The chairs were practically pulled out from under us as we were trying to pay the check and leave a tip.
Food was good, but colored greatly by the experience, I’m afraid.
One of the best restaurants in Chicago. Everything was superb. Blueberry cornbread is a must. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the dessert. We had the berry tart, and it was literally way too tart. I mean there was no sweetness to the dessert at all. That was a let down to an otherwise incredible meal. But we’ll definitely be back to try the other items on the menu. Ambiance wise , music is a bit loud but I loved the decor, everything is so beautiful. Perfect place to celebrate a special occasion.
- Asks for full party to be here before checking in - why? Everybody would happily get a drink waiting
- Extremely loud
- Service ok
- Food just decent, nothing to write home about
- Poor value (total $100 / person without drinks)
Mom was visiting and we had heard good things! Loved it!!!!!
Attentive service, relaxed dining, and unique combination of flavors made the experience one we will repeat.
Christina was a wonderful server! She was friendly, catered to our complicated dietary restrictions, and gave amazing recommendations. She was lovely and made our experience remarkable!
We sat outside and it was really nice and felt safe.
Food was delicious! Coktails were good.
Service was less than expected, from a place like this. We were 4 people in a very small table, and food is served family style, at one point it became very crowded on the table and we had an oopsie spill, no one came to check on us or attempt to replace the spilled wine, which was surprising not in a good way. We also had to ask for water a couple of times. Other than that. The food was great and we will likely return
Took four people and ordered four plates to share, four entrees, and three deserts. Everything was spectacular - highly recommended, will be back for sure!
Delicious as ever. Consistent quality, great service, lovely atmosphere. Between two people we had the corn bread, halibut, lamb shank and green beans. We were stuffed.
Food was a little hit or miss. The pork face was probably one of the best dishes we have ever had. The broccoli was good. Goat mousse had almost too much flavor to a point we could not finish it. Overall it was pretty pricey.
Well worth the wait! Amazing experience from start to finish and can’t wait to come back
Excellent food and experience!
Gorgeous food, lovely service - really really enjoyed this meal
Great vibes, delicious poke and the most amazing greens beans you will ever have. So good! You must get a reservation doesn’t matter the time, but you have to go! Can’t wait to come back to Chicago and go!
We are there with our family and loved it. The salmon poke dish was amazing. Our other dishes were also. We ended up having 5 dishes between the 4 of us. We will be back!
Girl & the Goat is a must-have every time I visit Chicago. The duck tongues have such incredible flavors and textures combining uniquely together to become such a staple. The sticky glazed pork shank is also delicious, along with several others. I also recommend the shrimp salad and sourdough with its dips. Portions are on the smaller side but so worth it IMO. Do yourself a favor and book this restaurant.
Shishito peppers were no good!
Chicken cooked perfectly. Sauce was horrible.
Elotes was the best in the menu!
To many sauces!
An exceptional & delicious meal... the best restaurant in Chicago.
Food was excellent. Nice place for good dining and conversation.
The plates were super small and it just felt like we weren't getting the portions we paid for, we were so hungry after, we actually restaurant hopped to the sushi place next door
While being very apprehensive about the menu at first the food was truly amazing……
So glad to find a great restaurant that has both a vegan menu and a regular menu. The food, ambience and drinks were great!
Our group was made up of adventurous eaters and picky eaters—we all enjoyed everything! Our favorite was the Thai style elotes. Service was very quick and friendly, overall a fantastic experience.
Favorite restaurant in Chicago hands down!
Every dish we ordered did not disappoint. Everything was so flavorful. Don’t let the ingredients of some items intimidate you. Try it! I’m glad I did, I tasted some unique dishes that I will never forget. They paired these ingredients beautifully together.
Service was impeccable and the food was amazing. We ordered the salmon poke, short ribs, pig face and pork shank. We paired each entree with the mini green beans, shishito peppers and broccoli. Our favorite by far was the pork shank and pig face.
This was a unique experience with great food! Since it was more of a tapas style set up it allowed my group to be able to taste many different menu items in one setting. The staff was very quick to take away any plates that were empty and to provide clean plates throughout dinner.
Outstanding meal and great service. Ordered the oysters, goat liver mousse, and pork shank. All were so wonderful and tasty!
