Girl & the Goat opened in 2010 with the goal of serving a family style menu of tasty, bold flavored foods in a fun and lively setting. To enhance the experience we offer a selection of wines from around the world with a focus on small producers, a rotating list of craft beers, and a list of fun cocktails created by our bartenders.

Located at 809 W Randolph, Girl & the Goat was one of the first establishments in the Randolph Restaurant Corridor. We offer a variety of seating choices, including a comfortable lounge, bar seats, standard table seating, and four seats close enough to the kitchen line that you might be asked to help. Girl & the Goat accepts reservations but always welcomes walk-ins, nomads, adventurers, and those of you who don’t like to plan.

The Underground Goat, our 18 person private dining room, is not your typical private dining space and the name encapsulates exactly what you're looking forward to. Located under the main dining room, you and your guests will be lead downstairs, through the restaurant and into the "staff only" halls of the Goat. The room itself echoes the casual, rustic atmosphere of the main dining room and is host to the restaurant's wine and liquor stock - don't be surprised if you see the hardworking bar staff sneak in a few times to keep things rolling upstairs. Chef Stephanie Izard will design a family-style menu for you (dietary restrictions will not be ignored) and our beverage director will recommend wine, beer and/or a signature cocktail to match what Stephanie comes up with.

First time in Chicago visiting from Toronto, this place was recommended by a friend. It was above and beyond from table maintenance, the food and the service. Server was great recommended great food options but did not catch her name. Will return when we are back in town!

A well oiled machine! Inventive, deliscois but above well run
The timing of the delivery of each dish was impeccable. Servers knew as much as wait staff. Brilliant operation

Food is innovative and excellent. Service is also excellent. Seating can be cramped and can contribute to noise level. However, the experience is enjoyable enough to compensate for this minor inconvenience.

I've been looking forward to trying this restaurant for months and it did not disappoint! The cuisine was delicious and creative, the staff pleasant and knowledgeable and the ambiance cozy and inviting. Everyone do yourselves a favor and try the duck tongue. You're welcome.
I can't wait to visit Chicago again and put The Girl & The Goat on the top of my "must do" list!

Simply the best! All of the food was AMAZING. When another table stayed longer than anticipated, they brought us each a glass of champagne while we were waiting and a variety of bread/butter to snack on when we were sat. Everything was perfect. Food, service, ambiance. Definitely lives up to the hype!

One of the best restaurant experiences I've had in Chicago. My wife and I have been trying to get a reservation here for 2 years and finally I booked far enough ahead to snag a late Saturday dinner.

The service was impeccable, the food was out of this world, and the experience was awesome! Girl and the Goat is one of Chicago's jewels!
