Everything was amazing but the dining area was rather smokey from the kitchen
Amazing as always. Even in the midst of covid, the service and food were great and I felt comfortable eating inside because the tables were spaced out properly.
Made a reservation for my fiancé and I here at our favorite restaurant in the city. We have a fantastic experience every time we come. Food is seriously delicious and service is awesome. A little on the pricey side, yes, but worth it in our opinion. We ate outside because of Covid and while the dining experience is different than indoors, it was still a great dinner. The restaurant staff do a great job of ensuring a safe and enjoyable meal for all patrons—tables distanced from each other, ask that you put your mask on anytime a staff member approaches the table, etc.
One of the best meals I have ever had. And I don't say that lightly.
I think I had too high of expectations. It was just ok. Service wasn’t great—took him too long to get back to us to place our food order and we were STARVING. My cocktail was good (banana rum drink?) and so was the dessert (white chocolate mousse) but I’d say everything else was just ok. Skip the Shishito Peppers—I promise you can make them better at home. The Chickpea Fritters were good consistency wise but overall bland. Salmon Poke was delightful but very small for sharing. Finished with the Pork Shank and sadly the best part about that dish was the naan bread. I think overall the menu was a swing and a miss.
Had Etta last week and it was fantastic. Go there instead.
I'm very happy to be re-introduced to Girl and Goat. It has been years since I visited and after a re-introduction a couple of weeks ago, I've found my way back. Should anyone be interested in the must-haves, please allow me to share.
-green beans (do not skip this unless you have a nut allergy, then you must stay far away)
They were great as always. I was particularly impressed with the way they handled us with the covid restrictions and still managed to take care of us with 2 smaller children at the table. Our server (don't remember her name) was fantastic! Love these guys
Food and service were impeccable! I’ll definitely be back.
Fabulous! COVID-19 precautions in place. Our waitress gave perfect advice for ordering and cocktails were wonderful!
Food was unbelievable. Completely lived up to any hype. Service was excellent, staff was very friendly. Would go back again in a heartbeat.
The food was even better than expected. Every course had it’s own unique taste! It’s been my favorite meal since visiting Chicago. Definitely worth the visit!
Dinner on our way back from the UP. Missed fine dining for two weeks!
They did a great job with Covid requirements, service was great, food was great
Outstanding. As usual! It’s pretty outside & was warm with the heaters. Great food! Great staff! Our favorite.
The food is fantastic as is the service. It was a very chilly evening to sit on the patio, but there were some heaters outside which held off the chill, but I believe they need to add more heaters as the evenings will only be getting colder. This is a classic restaurant in Chicago and should be tried by everyone at least once!
Great food and all around great experience. Would go back again.
Great ambiance, incredible food, wonderful service
A little pricey for the food portion but excellent food!
Love this restaurant, it's always great cocktails and food! The only con was that our reservation was at 8:45 pm but we didn't get seated until 9:15 pm.
Another phenomenal meal with the folks at Girl & the Goat. Anytime we are in Chicago (from CA) we try to get reservations...they never disappoint,
The best food I had in a long time
The Girl and the Goat is definitely a restaurant I will visit again. It has a wonderful space for outdoor seating and I great for a date night. The food is tasty although limited in options. It is more for sharing and would be good for groups.
As always, great. Hostess was rude but everyone else was terrific. Can’t go wrong.
Gary was amazing! Loved every bite! 10/10
The food here was absolutely amazing! The staff was so helpful with deciding options.
Always lives up to expectations! Loved the goat special - goat neck chimichurri, black bass, and goat empanadas. We will keep coming back!
The food was great. We dined in the patio since the indoor area is still closed, which was ok. Also we were instructed to put our masks back on while being served, which was a little confusing, but it is understandable given the situation.
haven't been to the girl and goat in years coz it was impossible to get a res. with covid, it's possible and man, was the food fantastic. every dish was excellent, balanced, a little heat, a little crunch, a little salt and so flavorful. The one benefit of covid - getting to eat at the girl and the goat again.
Everything we had was super delicious. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, including the wine selection. Overall, would highly recommend for date night, night with friends, or special occasion meal.
Small plates not worth the money at all...................
The food was great! I really enjoyed the Chickpea Fritters and Black Bass!
Genuinely always the best. Brought my boss and coworker in tonight and they were just blown away. Thank you as always.
Great food and service, always always always get the empanadas.
It was my birthday! The food, service and drinks were excellent! A very imaginative menu! We had a wonderful time!!
My second time here in Chicago and it was my second time back at Girl & the Goat. Even better than the last time and the salmon poke with strawberries was amazing! The waitstaff was great, food even better, and I can’t wait to come back again!
We hadn't been to Girl & the Goat for a while, and we are happy to report that the food and service remain outstanding. We particularly enjoyed the goat empanadas and the "crab rangoon" squash blossoms.
Never a disappointing experience at Girl and the Goat. The dishes are always next level in terms of flavor and presentation! The servers are also very knowledgeable and great throughout the entire dining experience!
This was probably the best dining out experience I’ve had in awhile. The safety precautions made me feel very comfortable and the service was great. The food was amazing as always and I can’t wait to come back.
Food amazing, service amazing! Simply amazing
Great time once again!
