Girl & the Goat opened in 2010 with the goal of serving a family style menu of tasty, bold flavored foods in a fun and lively setting. To enhance the experience we offer a selection of wines from around the world with a focus on small producers, a rotating list of craft beers, and a list of fun cocktails created by our bartenders.

Located at 809 W Randolph, Girl & the Goat was one of the first establishments in the Randolph Restaurant Corridor. We offer a variety of seating choices, including a comfortable lounge, bar seats, standard table seating, and four seats close enough to the kitchen line that you might be asked to help. Girl & the Goat accepts reservations but always welcomes walk-ins, nomads, adventurers, and those of you who don’t like to plan.

The Underground Goat, our 18 person private dining room, is not your typical private dining space and the name encapsulates exactly what you're looking forward to. Located under the main dining room, you and your guests will be lead downstairs, through the restaurant and into the "staff only" halls of the Goat. The room itself echoes the casual, rustic atmosphere of the main dining room and is host to the restaurant's wine and liquor stock - don't be surprised if you see the hardworking bar staff sneak in a few times to keep things rolling upstairs. Chef Stephanie Izard will design a family-style menu for you (dietary restrictions will not be ignored) and our beverage director will recommend wine, beer and/or a signature cocktail to match what Stephanie comes up with.

Simply the best! All of the food was AMAZING. When another table stayed longer than anticipated, they brought us each a glass of champagne while we were waiting and a variety of bread/butter to snack on when we were sat. Everything was perfect. Food, service, ambiance. Definitely lives up to the hype!

The food at girl and the goat was really good! My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary dinner and we definitely made the right decision. I don't remember our waiter's name but he was very friendly and attentive. The pierogis were my favorite dish!

We went here for a pre-opera dinner. We made a reservation so we were seated promptly when we arrived. Our server was very helpful and guided us through the menu. We ordered the warm olives, scallops, shishito peppers, wood fired oysters, and crispy beef short rib. All were great but the short rib was particularly amazing. To drink, I had the Dolce Vita cocktail which I highly recommend if you like Italian-style cocktails

Place is lit Sat evenings. Food is creative and very tasty. Cliche to rave on green beans, but they are fantastic. Pig Face was amazing

Amazing, amazing, amazing. From start to finish with incredible cocktails (drinkable, too!) to the tuna, short rib, green beans, pierogis — I could go on. Been here for three years and this was my first time trying Girl & the Goat. I will most definitely be back.

We have been to the Girl and the Goat twice before and had really enjoyed our experience. We were very excited about returning, However our most recent visit proved to be disappointing.

Food was great! It was my 5th time there and the menu keeps evolving. Goat empanadas are still the best thing on it though!
