The food was Excellent, and the service was outstanding. I would definitely go there again.
The halibut dish was our favorite. A delicious medley of so many good things on one plate. I can hardly contain my appetite as I took each bite. Definitely worth a try!
Goat empanadas, beef short rib, buttery cake dessert are absolute musts!! Everything else is pretty good too, those are just superb!
As always, wonderful food and service and anniversary wishes.
All food that we ordered was outstanding from our expectations. I recommend this restaurant.
Absolutely incredible
THE most amazing meal we have had in years! They all work so collaboratively and the knocked it outta the park for us!!
Extraordinaria mezcla de sabores, cada plato es una grata sorpresa para el paladar.
Amazing food, ambience, service and staff!
This is the second time being there and like the first, everything was superb. The food never disappoints and it’s always a rollercoaster of flavors. The menu this time was smaller than usual but there’s still tons of selections. Cocktails are always delicious as the desserts. 110% would recommend.
How wonderful to come back to G&G! Staff was outstanding in its hospitality and great service. Every dish was terrific but we are still talking about the pork shank and thank goodness we saved it for the last! There are still smiles on our faces and we've booked our return.
SO GOOD!! I’m still dreaming about the food!
I whole experience was amazing!! The best meal I’ve ever had. My taste buds were dancing.
A must try! Every dish we beautifully plated and a true dining delight! Must have the pig face!
The food was impeccable as always.
Lovely dinner, and great to be back in-person!
Always fantastic and delicious!
Always a fabulous dining experience at Girl and the Goat!
I visit G&G every time I come to Chicago. Another amazing experience even with the limited menu. It was so nice to have this safe and tasty experience during Covid. The staff was super helpful in navigating my food allergy. Loved the little goats on the tables, too.
Everything was absolutely wonderful! It was a perfect evening!
Small plates.. but every bite was an experience
Wonderful meal and fabulous service! We loved the scallops, goal empanadas, pork shank, goat skewers, and broccoli. The brioche was the only dish we were unimpressed by. Overall delicious meal. We will be back!
Next level. I didn't think I would ever enjoy broccoli as much as that. Wow!
Amazingly creative cuisine and beautiful cocktails. The best dining out experience I’ve had in over a year.
To start I had made reservations well in advance and noted that this was for my girlfriends birthday. We were sat in the back near the kitchen at a giant table for just us 2. I understand it’s covid and there needs to be proper spacing, but why ask if it’s a special occasion if it’s not considered? So we asked to move and the hostess was very nice and moved us to a better seat. We had ordered the Gotham green salad, sourdough, goat empanadas, scallops and the pig face. The portions were very small but everything tasted fine except for the scallops. You could smell the fishyness as they put it on our table, and they were mushy/undercooked. Half way through our dinner my gf went downstairs and puked... We don’t like to complain much because we don’t know for sure if it was the food that made her sick, and we didn’t want to make another issue after the seating, and also didn’t want to be those people that seem like they are trying to get something for free... but after spending almost 200 on the meal and thinking about it the passed couple days, the experience was underwhelming and we were very disappointed
Food was excellent and the server was an absolute delight ! Highly recommend.
Tasting menu was fabulous, staff was very attentive and helpful
We wanted to try the restaurant week menu and celebrate my husband’s birthday. We both had a great time and the staff was so nice.
Delicious! Tapas style, 5 dishes to share was perfect. Seasonal and fun variety of eats!
Excellent! Magnificent! All Praises to the Chef!!!
Amazing staff and amazing food! I love all of Stephanie Izard’s restaurants!
I’ll start this by saying I don’t typically write reviews but felt this one was needed. I went to Girl and the Goat two years ago and was blown away. I could not wait to go back while in Chicago this year. The service was outstanding however the food was sub par. They no longer have their gluten free bread which was a total bummer. We got the oysters which were very good. The scallops were nothing special and I found the combination with beets to be a bit odd. The pig face was also lacking flavor. The food quality and menu options have gone down hill post covid.
Every bite amazing. Special experience.
The Goat Fashioned drink is amazing. Really great baked oysters and then the pig face. A Japanese plum whiskey to accompany the cheese cake was a real treat.
The Chicago Restaurant Week menu was adventurous and well done.
The oysters were to die for
The short rib was crispy on the outside, but tender and tasty.
The Sea Bass was well cooked, but the portion for 2 was little small.
Dessert was very nice.
Birthday dinner during restaurant week was amazing
It was amazing and looking forward to coming back this summer
Great time. Perfect restaurant week menu! Definitely will recommend to visit.
The service here was amazing. My dining partner and I arrived for our reservation, but the group ahead of us was taking longer than expected to leave. We waited by the entrance for about ten minutes, which was fine with us because we like to talk, and the staff were so kind and welcoming that they gave us some chickpea fritters as an apology, and when one of our dishes was also delayed in the kitchen, they have us sparkling rosé. They are amazing.
The food was equally amazing. We had the Restaurant Week menu and every dish was delicious. You could say their dishes lean toward a salty palate. Best green beans I've ever had - the fish sauce vinaigrette give it that delicious umami flavor. Their drinks were good too.
I see why there's a hype about this place. I highly recommend checking it out.
We went during Restaurant Week and the food was great and an amazing value.
We dined here for Restaurant Week and the menu was INCREDIBLE. We were honestly full by course #3 (before the mains even arrived) but managed to eat almost everything. The green beans, goat liver mousse, and shrimp salad were standouts (and I don't even like green beans). Would absolutely go back next Restaraunt Week, or literally any time I can get reservations!
