Fantastic food and very very good and friendly service, but we recommend eating beforehand unless you want to spend wayyyyyy too much money getting full because portion sizes are small and meant to be shared.
We ordered 1-2 items from each section of the menu—perfection! Great service! Food is outstanding!
Food was not special. Neat atmosphere, but crowded
Delicious trendy place to enjoy a date night! The cocktails and empanadas are the best!
Amazing food and ambience. Great service. We loved it.
Absolutely breathtaking meal, as usual. Order the skirt steak. You won’t regret it!
The whole experience was amazing, from the waiter greeting us with his acknowledgment of food allergies at our table (I sent a note$ to the amazing dessert suggestion. We will be back!!
Need to be a goat fan. I'm not. The food was good, but nothing spectacular.
Girl and the Goat is one our most favorite restaurants! The food is delicious and always so interesting how they pair the ingredients! Keep up the great work!
Girl and the Goat never disappoints. The food was delicious and our server was amazing.
Stephanie never disappoints!
Outstanding food with unique flavor combinations. Ideal for a casual group dinner or date night. Highly recommend the Shrimp Salad, and leave room for dessert! We loved the sticky sweet potato cake.
The servers seemed overwhelmed when we came on a busy Saturday night. This may be a pandemic-related understaffing issue. We received the wrong dish and had a hard time flagging down our server when we needed anything. I expected better service from this highly-rated restaurant, but hopefully this will improve with time.
Overall, great experience!
Amazing food as always. Can’t wait to go back
The food was delicious, expertly prepared and plated and delicious. My 6 and 8 year old loved the salmon poke and the pork shank most. Other favorites included the Branzino and goat empanadas. We also had the budino and brownie sundae.
Delicious! We had the duck tartare, salmon poké and goat liver mousse and they were all outstanding.
Went with a group of friends and loved the small plate sharing and innovative dishes. Hard to pick a favorite but the green beans, beets, Branzino, and shiitake ice cream were standouts. Excellent cocktails and service.
Fantastic food in great ambiance. Unfortunately we had a bit of a miss on our last item and it created a very awkward break and quite frankly it would have been the highlight of the meal had it come our sooner, but by then we had finished other items. We appreciated the variety and overall superior quality.
As always , fantastic food and overall experience . Drinks service was a little slow - but it was BUSY ( good to see ) . Pork Shank as always a winner !
Great food, too loud to enjoy company
Such a memorable and enjoyable dining experience. Loved the atmosphere, the fun music playing, and the food was perfection.
Always exceptional food, cocktails & service. Never disappointed.
Delicious food, great service!
Best experience dining in a long time. This was truly the best!!
Absolutely amazing food and great service
Each dish was delicious, fresh, and unique. Cannot recommend this place enough.
Two of the main dishes weren’t available so my date and I tried other dishes that were not pleasing. The grilled short rib was sent back. It was tough and charred. My date didn’t like the goat empanadas. I thought they were ok. I have been here before and enjoyed the food but this time not so much. I will come back though as I really want to try the menu items they didn’t have.
Service was great. Food was great
This is our second visit. First visit we loved the cauliflower veggie dish and ordered a second one. We were bummed to learn that was no longer on the menu due to cauliflower shortage. This time around we ordered 6 dishes and loved one of 6:
1. Beets dish: excellent. Great start of the day but went downhill with the other dishes we ordered
2. Goat empanadas: nice flavors but lacked on the filling. The outer shell was tough to cut into
3. Goat liver mousse: biscuits were too hot and oily and overpowered the liver mousse. Very salty and buttery that we barely remembered liver mousse was star of dish
4. Brussels sprouts: okay but didn’t need the creamy sauce
5. Green beans: people raved about this on Yelp but we could not understand the strong pungent flavor with heavy cashew nuts.
6. Pig face: second time getting it and it’s great mixed up but very rich dish.
Dessert left a bad taste in our mouth as we got the brownie dish with shiitake mushroom ice cream recommended by our waiter. There was a strong vinegar sauce that made the chocolate taste very bitter and this was not a way to end the night. I regretted not having Jenis ice cream across the street
Drinks were the redeeming factor of the day as all were on point. We were just disappointed with our food selections this time around.
The food here is as fabulous as ever. Our party of four was swooning over all but one of the 8 dishes we ordered. Everything is so flavorful and complex. Our favorites were the crudo, the chickpeas, the whole fish, the green beans and the pork shank. Our only meh vote was for the goat empanadas. Service was generally good. Our only disappointment was that I had noted that this was a birthday celebration for our adult daughter on our reservation and I also mentioned it to our server. It would have been nice if our server added a candle to our dessert, let alone comped it, or even just said happy birthday. Nothing. Yet we did see candles brought to another table near by (different server.) We still loved our meal, and had a great time. One note during covid: We were surprised how close together the tables were.
The crudo was excellent. Pork shank definitely a hearty portion. Everything was delicious. The wait staff is very well versed and guiding towards appropriate amount to order -we ordered 6 for 2 people and it was perfect, no leftovers.
Everything was AMAZING! Server was so helpful and AMAZING as well. Can’t wait to go back.
Great. Food was excellent, as were the drinks and the service
This was the second time my husband and I had been here. We live in Baltimore and came here for NYE. We absolutely love this restaurant! Our friends came with us this time and they loved it too. I’m pretty particular and the quality of the food definitely meets my expectations and then some. Thank you for a great dinning experience.
We had not been to Girl & The Goat for many years and we all thought everything was delicious! Looking forward to going back again soon!
Amazing meal and friendly professional staff. Great ambience
All of the food was good but the fudge brownie sundae was absolutely amazing
For a ‘tapas’ style serving theme, the dishes are all very savory, with heavy salt and lemon and aioli. Paying $15+ for a vegetable dish didn’t seem worth it. Anyone can slather oils, salts, lemons, and aioli on veges and make it taste good.
Ambiance was lovely, and service was very good. Except our main dish took a very long time, so we were already full on veges when it arrived.
I’ve wanted to try this restaurant for the last year, and sadly I was a little disappointed in my $240 meal for two.
Our server was amazing! She went above and beyond.
Truly fabulous experience. The wait staff is the best in the world they were so kind and attentive and thoughtful. We had a large group with one person who had a food allergy. They were diligent in explaining what each dish contained. And the food was incredible!!!
I was really excited to finally try girl and the goat and I’m sad to say that I was disappointed by nearly every aspect of the experience. We ordered the brioche, the goat cheese board, the green beans, the Brussels, and the chicken thigh. The only things that were remotely fine were the brioche and the Brussels. All the other dishes seemed like they were trying to be different just for the sake of being different. Flavor combinations were “unique” but were not well balanced, dressings and sauces were overpowering and confusing. If you like trying different food for the sake of it being different you might enjoy this place, but unfortunately it was not the place for me.
