This was worth the wait. I took my husband here for his birthday and we had the best service, and the food was spectacular. I don't eat meat, and everything I had was great. A top 5 restaurant in Chicago, hands down.
It’s Irish pub meets Asian cuisine. Very unique flavors!
Girl & the goat never disappoints. From my very first experience here I have never had a doubt that this restaurant delivers the top of the line food, drinks, and service. I always say, you can practically close your eyes and put your finger anywhere on the menu and without a doubt you’d enjoy what you picked. Phenomenal!
Fantastic food, wonderful atmosphere, would recommend to anyone!
Everything from beginning to end of our meal was really good, from the charcuterie board to the shrimp & salad. And the naan bread was so delicious with a perfect texture.
The Girl & Goat is one of the best dining experiences in Chicago. The food is delicious and the wait staff is first class. Every time I go it is a truly memorable experience.
The food was good to great. The service was overall good, but at times somewhat awkward. Not sure if there was tension between the server and those bussing and filling water, but there was definitely a weird response when asking for water. When plates were cleared before the final course, there was tension around who and how this was done. No big deal for us, but a bit uncomfortable.
Menu doesn’t do the food justice. The chef combines flavors in a way that is unexpected and incredible!
Wow! Is all I can say! This restaurant does not disappoint! We had a variety of items and all were delicious. We had the pork shank and the short ribs. They were amazing! I’m writing this review two days later and I am still thinking about this great meal. Prices were very fare. A must do in the West Loop.
Angry young hostess sent the manager to us thinking we had a problem when we asked if there was a table available inside. Looking past it after a huge laugh; that she tried to cause a scene by being aggressive towards us in front of the entire patio, Realizing she needed a day off or a snickers was easy because the sticky glazed pork was a highlight. Green beans were over cooked and goat liver lacked flavor. Chick pea fritters were a wonderful unique surprise. A must try.
Darling server Kristina and excellent team helped us forget the unfortunate introduction to a meal we looked forward too
Order the sticky pork for sure.
I went to The Girl and The Goat for a birthday celebration and it was fantastic! The service was great, each dish was delicious and there were really interesting options.
Overall really great experience. Only negative was the noise level from table next to us - overserved! Ordered bottle of bubbles. Waiter never brought the ice bucket we requested. So overall food great, service okay, ... next time I will relocate away from rookie drinkers.
Muy buena comida, servicio excelente.
El menú son puros platos pequeños (tapas).
Para dos personas pedimos 4.
Amazing experience, the food was outstanding!
Good place, but left still hungry. Portions were small, but the flavors were really good. Also it was super dark so it was hard to read the menu.
The crispy pig face is super delicious, same as how I remembered before the pandemic. The shank is best values as it's so big and filling, easily share with another person as main course. There are certain dishes you could do mini sizes like peppers and green beans (and more), do ask your server!
Great food and service
They gave us the chef’s table when I mentioned it was a special occasion. I appreciated the thoughtfulness on top of everything else that made the experience great - good food and service.
Food was delicious! It was a bit too dark though. I like mood lighting but it was a bit much! Great food though and it wasn’t too loud. You have to get the Pork Shank or the Goat Empanadas
Ambiance is nice, food is unique and tasty. The lychee drink was delicious! The service was very attentive and Gary was great! We are from miami and will for sure come back here!
Phenomenal. Absolutely lives up to the hype!
Great food. we ate outside so it was fairly quiet.
We got the chef's table so we were very happy with it :)
Still as good as it ever was. Unique and flavorful preparations. Would like to see a bit greater depth from the wine list though.
We had the best experience we’ve ever had in a restaurant here. My fiancé and I are both restaurant industry and we were enthralled at the entire experience. Our server was pleasant and we loved how the food runners explained the dishes to us when they hit the table. Phenomenal on all levels 🖤
The food and the waiter were phenomenal. Our only complaint was the hostess. They tried to seat us by the door when there were two better tables available. They said that we would have to wait to get a better table, but seated the next group who walked in at one of the free tables. When I pushed back, they sat us at the better table. I should not have had to do that.
Perfecto. Así de simple. Desde que entras te das cuenta que estás en el lugar perfecto
Very flavorful, pork shanks were delicious, as was the branzino
Everything we had was phenomenal. Highlights were the green beans with fish sauce and the confit goat belly.
Outstanding service and delicious meals had by all. Will definitely return again and again.
Everything was great!
Girl and the Goat was recommended by a few friends and it went beyond what we expected.
Food was great and service spot on!
10/10 would recommend.
Amazing - definitely worth the hype!
We loved Girl and the Goat. It delivered great food, service and fun ambience as always!
Our visit to Girl & the Goat could not have been any more amazing! We lucked up and were seated at one of the Chef’s Tables for the ultimate dining experience. We got to interact with both the front & back of the house which was a treat for a foodie like me. Service was outstanding and the food was incredible. We cannot wait to return!
Only downside is the noise is a bit high making conversation a bit difficult without raising one’s voice. Otherwise, great experience.
Had reservations and we were sat on a cheap wire table that was broken on one side. Asked our server Katie about it who said she’d see what she could do. She came back and said the manager would come talk to us, but she never did. There were clearly other tables available, not sure why we had to spend our anniversary dinner on the sidewalk on a broken table. Food was good though, and all the normal tables looked nice.
I've never even had a bad dish at Girl and the Goat. And every meal is comprised of share plates, so perhaps there are eight dishes per meal. I've dined here at least 15 times. Never had a bad dish. EVERYTHING is great.
