What Insiders Are Saying
One of the most well known restaurants in Chicago, and one that lives up to the hype.
Amazing food ,atmosphere and outstanding service. We loved every dish we ordered, scallops, ribs, beans with cashews and cauliflower were to die for. Thanks to the wonderful staff, Lauren in particular. We ll be back. Cheers from Montreal.
The food was amazing! Definitely in the top 5 best meals of our lives. Thank you!
A very good and unique dining experience. Many starters and all well presented all dishes are to be shared. My wife and I thouroghly enjoyed it and would definitely go. The pork shank was delicious as were all of the starters.
Weve been to Girl and the Goat a few times but a while ago and were hoping it hadn’t lost its edge. No worries; it was awesome as always. It’s a ‘don’t miss’ in Chicago!
Wow...can’t wait to return. First time in Chicago, first meal in Chicago & thrilled to hear LA will soon have this restaurant.
Best meal we’ve ever had!
This was one of the best meals I have had in my life. The food was amazing - ambiance was great and service was impeccable.
Wonderful in every way shape and form.
Wow absolutely delicious food and great service
In town for a long weekend and this is a must!
My group of 6 shared 16 menu items, and the food just made us happy!!
Well it’s certainly a happening place although not the place for a romantic dinner given the noise level.
Also if you’re not from the US of A remember that everything is bigger in the States.
As Mr Spock might have said “It’s tapas Jim but not as we know it!”
Live long and prosper.

My wife and I ate at Girl & the Goat for our first wedding anniversary. Our server Gerson was smart, charming, and accommodating to our requests and to my wife's dietary limitations. He recommended wine and food options that were stellar. The food was the best I have yet to eat in 5 years in Chicago. And we even got comp'd a dessert to celebrate the occasion! We will be going back.
Our server, Trevor, was wonderful - great service! Food was awesome -- favs that night - salmon dish, goat empanadas, cauliflower dish! Food is creative and very tasty! Always a great meal at Girl & the Goat!
Great food excellent service... love the place!
Simply outstanding. I’m a chef by trade, and this one was on my bucket list. I knew it would be great, but it far exceeded all expectations.
Amazing, loved every bite! Wish we lived in Chicago so we could return again and again!
Sensational dining, with local ingredientes and amazing service. Also, it's a steal for the price - my friend and I spent around $65 a person (with tips) and ate like queens. Do yourself a favor and get the green beans (which sound lame but are actually amazing) and the goat confit with lobster. I still dream about it...
We recently dined at the girl and the goat and absolutely loved it. Excellent food and great service
I was disappointed with the food. The music was extremely loud. My grouper was very salty. The chef was heavy handed with the salt in all dishes. Our table was given a free dessert due to too much spice in two of the dishes. It lacked any flavor. Our table didn't even finish it. This restaurant did not live up to its hype. Sorry I couldn't provide a better review.
First and foremost - the food itself was life-altering. Words fail. It's unreal. The vegetables were the best I have ever had. The Girl and the Goat wrestles flavors out of food that I didn't even know were in there. My life is different, now.
All of the servers were really attentive and did a great job for us, but there was a 30 minute gap between items that didn't seem to make a ton of sense based on what else was left to come to us.
It's also really, really loud. I'm a musician, so I'm used to loud - but it was like 'The Club' loud in there. Which, I mean, you can't have everything - but if there's one thing I'd change with the ambience, I'd cut the volume of the music by half.
I would go back to this restaurant in a heartbeat.
Awesome first time at Girl and the Goat! All around just great!
Everything was amazing from the appetizers to the drinks!! Had to wait longer than usual for our table but the staff was very apologetic and attentive!! The wait was truly worth it.
Most amazing meal I have had in a while. Must try the pig face and the pork shank
Heard good things about this restaurant. I think it is all a marketing ploy. Terrible food choices, terrible food, LOUD couldn't hear across the table. only redeeming quality was a couple of good wines on the menu. I am a travel and event manager who has to eat out often for work. I would NEVER recommend this restaurant to anyone. If you want a good Tapas restaurant, head to Rockford IL and visit Abreo.
Excellent, interesting food, put relatively expensive. One needs a reservation and need to book it weeks in advance.
Girl & the Goal has been on our list of places to try for quite a long time now but can be very hard to get a reservation. When I was scrolling through Open Table one day and found a reservation at a reasonable hour I booked it right then and there! Our experience at Girl & the Goat was everything we thought it was going to be and more! The service was spectacular and food was incredible! Would highly recommend!
Food and service were outstanding. Especially the goat empanadas, bucatini, peter piper bread. Food comes fairly quickly. BUT, it is very noisy. You can hear conversations, especially people with loud voices, three and four tables away. However, the food makes it worthwhile.
Sat at one of the Chef’s tables. Incredible food and experience! Chefs were friendly and fun, answering questions along the way.
The rave reviews I saw were actually justified. The dishes are original and everything we ordered was very good. Goat’s belly?! It is a place that creates conversation, since you share dishes with dining companions. Fun and truly exceptional food.
One big restaurant of yum. Superb staff. Cool locale. Suggested 2 plates per person to share. We fit in 3.
We have been wanting to try this restaurant for quite some time and finally did, it exceeded all expectations. The food is done right.
This is the best restaurant on earth. Mic Drop. Every single item we tried was perfection. Cannot wait to go again.
Amazing food, vibrant dining area, great service. Make every attempt possible to get a reservation here if possible!
The food was great, particularly the blue point oysters that were cooked to perfection and the unexpected blending of the gaminess of the goat confit with the richness of the lobster. Plan on it being noisy, energetic and crowded; but it is worth it
One of our favorites in Chicago! The food is amazing and you can get a little of everything.
The food are so creative. You cannot image these material can cook like they do. Recommend. Have an surprising experience.
Deliciously creative shared plates served hot out of the oven. Very friendly service and great skillfully crafted cocktails. All with a price that is very fair. I’ll be back again and again and...
Lucky to finally get a reservation. Yum food and great ambiance.
