Not a huge menu but everything was delicious. Small plates to share
Loved it. Once you get passed some of the names of the menu items, the rest is smooth sailing. One of the best meals I have had in a long time.
Our server and everyone we interested with were great. The food was AMAZING. We had the broccoli, goat belly, and whole branzino. I am still thinking about all of it and can’t wait to go back 😁
A great place and menu. Lighten the salt, as patr I ns should have the taste of salt two hours after dining. Shrimp salad dish the tops.
Our server was so fantastic and I feel horrible that I don't remember his name.
Your restaurant deserves any hype it gets!! loved it. We have been to every one of your other restaurants and loved ever one of them! We have ordered cakes from Sugargoat. Surprisingly, this was our first time at Girl and the Goat because I was too lazy to deal with trying to make a reservation because it was always so hard.
Food was amazing as always! Enjoyed a nice evening outside.
Our overall experience was amazing. The server, shrikaya, was exceptional. Only visiting Chicago but should be on everyone’s lists local or visitor. If the hamachi crudo is an option GET IT! Also fat washed bourbon paper planes are a thing.
Delightful meal! Innovative, carefully prepared, perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. We will definitely visit again when we are in Chicago.
Every dish was unique and delicious! And the server was so friendly! Plan ahead and make this a “must do” on visits to Chicago!!
This is honestly one of the best dining experiences of my life. Get the green beans. I’m serious!
It was an amazing experience. We were celebrating our anniversary and they gift us the dessert. The food has great balance of flavor and textures. I recommend the pork shank and goat belly!!!
Parents in from out of town
Amazing from start to finish
We savored every bite of food we had. Everything was delicious! It was the perfect anniversary dinner!
Everything we ate was delicious (although our appetizer green beans was a tad too salty for me and could have been good with rice puffs). I had the chocolate caramel dessert and it was the best dessert I’ve eaten in the last two years hands sown! Service was attentive and great.
The goat never disappoints!
Great food, ambiance and service. Loved the experience. will definitely try again.
Excellent all around!
The food was amazing!!
Amazing food and service. The Goatfashion is a must have.
Amazing! Stephanie Izard’s food is everything you’d hope it to be and more. So many layers of texture and flavors. You can’t go wrong with any item on the menu...or just go for it and order it all!
Cute restaurant. Must have sparkling rosé from Moderna, Italy. Delish! Brioche with house cream cheese & pickled veggies: yum! Chickpea fritters & shishito peppers: this was our meal. Hubby had Pilsner on tap: twice!! In a lovely neighborhood. Took a long walk after. Stopped at SugarGoat for couple homemade type cookies for mañana. And took train back. A very good evening
Best meal I've had in Chicago. From food to service, flawless
Great place to eat and outside or in, thanks for everything
Food was amazing. Great service and interesting options on the menu.
Love this place and we keep coming back!
Food was great as always! Service was great! Suggest umbrellas outside for rain or sun.
I’ve wanted to come here for a long time. My sister came in town and I was able to get an early reservation. It was delicious. Both food and drinks. Service was great, as well!
We had an issue with dietary restrictions (celiac) and miscommunication among the staff as to what could be eaten, to the point of a prepared dish arriving that contained gluten. Fortunately the manager realized the mistake, apologized and the rest of the staff did everything they could to make up for it. Another great experience and I highly recommend.
My husband’s birthday and our first visit to Chicago.
I absolutely love this place! From the service to the food they get it right every time. I recommended everything on the menu, however, no matter the season i always suggest their goat belly and green beans my all time favorites.
Believe the hype! This place is outstanding!
Great food; we’ve tried six different dishes, and all were amazing. Some of my favorite ones was duck tongue and the shrimp salad
G&tag is one restaurant that has my loyalty every time I come to Chicago. I'm like on line at home the moment reservations open up for my travel dates. The menu changes a bit but everything I've ever ordered and eaten is delicious. We ordered 6 dishes and the kitchen paced it PERFECTLY. Thank you to all at the restaurant for another great meal out!
Every dish was amazing and the service was top notch. Asked server for recommendations and everything he suggested was amazing! Will be back.
Literally Stephanie is amazing. Every dish we ordered was unique and flavorful and absolutely delicious. The chickpea fritter was a must try. The green beans are always flavorful and unique. Her mango sticky rice was next level with flavors. If there is one restaurant you must try in Chicago it’s Girl & the Goat. Everything is phenomenal.
The first two courses were great. But my guests and I didn’t like the chicken of all things! It was so smoky that it had that musky lingering taste of duck! We didn’t eat it. And their signature dish of “pig face”? No thanks. Greasy, very fatty, and barely anything on the plate.
There is nothing bad I can say about this restaurants. I have been here 2 times (within a 4 year period) and it just gets better and better.
