Giraffe - Grand Central

Fabulous breakfast ahead of a long day. Highly recommend
Good food served quickly. Pre booked so seated quickly.
The quality of the food was poor unfortunately. Scrambled eggs had black bits in them, bacon was mainly fat and the toast not browned. Of course we should have complained at the time. . .
Food was lovely but staff were flustered and didn’t hesitate stressing that point however the food was tasty and good value so would still recommend
Bit hectic but served quickly
Fantastic food when it was reheated, service was appalling very rude, not interested at all the 2 women on service. Rushed our food and dessert because they ‘closed at 8’ yet didn’t mention this when they happily seated us at 7 and offered us dessert at 7:55.
We used to have Giraffe in Reading, the staff were super attentive and the food good, the food was ok at this 1 in Birmingham but the service terrible. We had kids with us and they usually give them colouring in etc. There was none of that. Overall a bit disappointing
Enjoyable meal , nice food, service ok - but I have to say any of the restaurants in Grand Central , I always feel a bit cold !!!
Service was brilliant! Very helpful staff who really took time to listen and chat.
Shout out to Natalie 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Food was lovely and very good value for money.
2 meals came out cold and were returned warmer. Very cold and noisy location.
Food was nice , tasty and kids meals good value. Wouldn’t go back to this location but would try another location.
Pleasant staff, very efficient service, very tasty food, competitive prices.
Staff were really polite and helpful
Food was great and plenty of it
Enjoyed it
We sat down at 8.15PM and it was surprisingly quiet. Service was very quick and the two for one cocktail offer was very handy.
Excellent food, super waitress service and fantastic value for money. We had the Christmas menu which was 3 courses for the price of 2, plus a glass of prosecco each (there were 4 of us), a bottle of wine which was half price and crackers on the table and a Christmas card. We will definitely be returning.
We booked ahead for a Saturday early evening meal, because it's a very busy time.
Food was excellent - we had the tapas selection - but staff struggled with the number of customers. The staff were very helpful and tried their best but they need more on duty at busy times. (One of our dishes was forgotten, plus the special price for multiple dishes wasn't applied to our bill).
I'm not a fan of service charge being included on the bill, but 10% was OK.
A lot of different food to choose from, food hot & tasty. Great service
Food was really tasty and good value. Had blankets for customers to use which was a nice touch as it did get a little chilly.
We had a lovely meal, and staff were very polite, and knowledgeable about the dishes!!
Food arrived quickly
Tasteless bland food
Expensive for the quality
Fast service but poor food
Such a shame as the food was enjoyable but the lack of service and interaction meant daughters dessert was missed, I had to chase my food, chase for service, asked for the kids toys, bill was incorrect and witnessed staff being rude to one another.
Really enjoyed our brunch, catered well for us plus our toddler. Diverse brunch menu. Did not have to wait too long to be served or for our food to arrive which was ideal with a young child. Staff were really welcoming and attentive. Only thing we would really change is that we love our fresh orange freshly squeezed but aside from that it was perfect for brunch.
We arrived during the lunch time rush but we were seated promptly. The staff were attentive without being overly pushy. My partner ordered a prawn curry and I had the fish and chips, I opted to pay the extra £2 to "Go large" on the fish. Our food arrived without too long a wait and I was surprised at the fish portion, I thought it would just be a larger sized fillet but it was TWO pieces of fish with a good portion of chips. My partner really enjoyed the curry and I must admit the fish was tasty but I struggled to finish both pieces. We had a dessert of a sharing dish of Churros with a chocolate sauce. The chocolate was a little disappointing as it tasted quite synthetic. The only down side was the fact because it is in the main Central Concourse it was very noisy. Overall though it was a nice meal.
Nice lunch not too busy seated quickly , service was excellent, food portions varied in size , prob ably overpriced for value. 2 for 1 Meerkat was good
Really nice food , good service but a little bit expensive
We loved our meal and your staff were helpful, prompt and polite. We will return.
Were welcomed politely and efficiently and our table was in the ideal place - will come again.
The burgers were delicious and great value at 50% off on Tuesday's. Really friendly staff too
The service was good and I really enjoyed my main, however, I was extremely disappointed with the dessert. I ordered the white chocolate and passionfruit cheesecakes and it had no flavour to it. I could not taste any white chocolate and even the dribble of sauce did not add anything to it, I thought it was the biggest waste of money!
Overall, a very pleasant eating experience. We had Lamb Tagine and Chicken Katsu which were both most enjoyable. The desserts that we wanted were not available, that was the only disappointment.
Superb food really enjoyed it especially good value on burgers on a Tuesday made the price more affordable to eat out.
As always our visit did not disappoint. Great food and Great service. I would highly recommend. 5 Stars
The staff really friendly.food great onion rings are one of the nice ones we had ...we be going back:-)
I went to meet up with a friend I hadn't seen in a while and we both had never been here before. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and very helpful. I asked for my meal to be altered slightly and the staff sorted it out in a very professional way. The food is lovely and very of a good standard, as well as the prices being very reasonable. I will definitely be returning again.
Place and atmosphere was perfect.
starters had no fault.
Main was bland needed more taste.
had to call waitress for service few times.
When arriving was left standing for a long time as members seemed to finish off there chat.
Super food as ever. Great value with kids half term offer. Well definitely be back again.
Scrambled egg is simply the best!
We had a great experience from start to finish. The staff were polite and whilst they were busy, they never made you feel like they were too busy to serve you.
The food was delicious and great value for money. I will definitely go back
Visited the restaurant during half term luckily I booked a table so was shown to it straight away
Food and drink orders where taken quickly and arrived in good time.
How ever the air con was blowing big time so made the food go cold quick.
Also the restaurant was in the middle of a shopping centre so there where no near by toilet facilities
We enjoyed a really nice meal at Giraffe - Grand Central when we were visiting Birmingham. There was a good range of choices on the menu - hard to choose - and just a bit different to the usual restaurants.
The restaurant is very open, being located in the upper concourse of the railway station, so not cosy, but staff were very friendly and helpful. Wish we had a Giraffe nearer home!
Disappointing in comparison to other Giraffe restaurant s visited but perhaps this was because of lack location. Food fast and unattractive although tasted ok. No servitude or cutlery without asking. Quick bite to eat but nothing more.
Food was average, my burger wasn't piping hot, very noisy but place and average service yet add 10% on the bill which isn't justified. Overall overpriced for a very average vegan menu I wouldn't eat here again as there are places offering better variety at a better price.
