   One of my favorite restaurants in all of Marin County. Familiar Italian flavors carefully produced with ultra fresh ingredients; Sicilian exotic highlights and attitude. Cool Cretan architectural columns, walled privacy all around, well-lit during the day, view of the kitchen, wood-fire rotisserie and prep area from the bar, professional service, amazing bread.

   Yummy rotisserie chicken with a generous portion of vegetables--broccoli, carrots, potatoes. A leisurely, quiet dinner experience in a local treasure.

   Delicious puttanesca but could have used more garlic. House red was quite good and a good price. Lemon cheesecake is made in-house and it shows! Light and heavenly-fluffy. Yum! Will be back. Service was friendly, low key.

   The Sicilian cuisine at this place is always satisfying. Cannolis are a must for dessert - the real deal! I've dined here several times in the past two years, and the service this time was notably improved.

   A somewhat ordinary and uninspiring dinner. Appetizers (caprese salad & a salad of lettuce spears with crumbled blue cheese) were good but the leg of lamb entre was sliced paper thin and served with too much gravy. It cooled quickly and was not appealing after the first couple of bites. Service was good, staff friendly, decore attractive.

   Everything we ordered was wonderfully delicious but our meal took longer than we expect (2 hours). Do go there, but allow time to enjoy your meal!

   I thought the food was good but rather pricy, especially the appetizer plate. Salads were large as well as entrees. We had four people the appetizer plate, two salads, four entrees and one glass of wine and the bill was $150. We did have a leftovers from two of the meals. Parking might be difficult lot is small.

   The bruschetta appetizer was wonderful, as was the pasta with puttanesca and also the gnocchi with Gorgonzola cream sauce (entrees my husband and son ordered). The eggplant parmigiana was not available, so I tried the fish special - which was just ok. Unfortunately, the cannoli dessert I wanted was also not available so I opted for the lemon cheesecake - also just ok. My son's chocolate mousse cake was much better. Service was perfect - attentive and responsive, but not too much.

   Gita Polli has been a mill valley staple for many years and I truly hope that continues. Unfortunately, the food was a bit overcooked and..well...very dated; just like its interior. Gira Polli need a little injection of life, passion and a fresh coat of paint. The restaurant has great potential, but right now it feels, and tastes like a restaurant one would encounter in an Ohio shopping mall. Please update your menu, food preparation and interior, we want you to survive and thrive!

    Really good hearty Italian food. The roasted chicken is good too. The main woman that pours your wine is absolutely lovely.
