We love this place! Everything here is top notch, from the amazing wine menu, to the delicious food and most importantly the service is impeccable. It is a must stop for me when I’m in Nashville!
The service was outstanding. The food was of excellent quality. The bartender went out of his way to make an interesting and delicious drink. Ambience was cozy, clean, and upscale. There was a party next to us that got quite noisy but it was otherwise quiet and easy to hold a conversation. I was surprised to see that everyone was quite dressed up. Overall, very good exoerience.
It was great thank you
The place is the best Italian experience we have found in Nashville.
We love this place and I honestly don't know why they're not booked solid all the time. We have had 2 excellent meals here recently and find the food, the wine, and the service to be on point.
Outstanding gnocchi, the real deal, best authentic Italian in Nashville by far!
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Giovanni's. We started with the calamari and had the pappardelle and chicken milanese for our entrees. Everything was delicious. The service was nice and friendly.
Service was great at first but then we had to wait over an hour just to get our receipt and pay.
Went on 2/15 for Valentine's day. Price was $100/person. Not worth the price. Waiter seemed incredulous that we did not like the food. Short ribs tasted like pot roast. Only a few cut potatoes served with lamb. Tart was "runny" and crust was not able to be cut (let alone eat). Will not go back.
We were there on Valentine's Day for dinner. The pe-fixe dinner was $100 per person, quite expensive for 3 courses. Our waiter was very inattentive and we waited long periods of time between courses and water refills. They were also out of several dishes on the set menu. The food tasted good, but the presentation was lacking and not at the level it should've been for a restaurant charging this much. We ate at 2 other excellent restaurants during our stay in Nashville that weren't nearly this expensive. And the service and food was top notch. We won't be back.
Did not know they would have an enforced, set menu for valentine’s since it was not advertised. Ended up being way more expensive than I was hoping for but food was very good.
The quality and overall taste of the food was subpar for the price. It was a massive disappointment. My food tasted like it sat out for a long time before being served. The food wasn’t the worst I ever had, but for $100 a plate on Valentine’s Day it was a huge let down. The service and ambiance could not make up for the poor food.
Worst Italian food ever.
Great ambiance for Valentine’s Day, as always! Music is delightful if a tad loud at times, we were seated upstairs. Service and food really good.
We LOVE this place and it is the perfect Valentine's or Special Occasion restaurant.
Valentine’s Day was wonderful at Giovanni’s!
Loved it. Fantastic food and service with perfectly sized portions. Loved having valet since midtown parking can be dicey
Our favorite place anytime for any occasion
Manager was rude and unhelpful. After wait staff graciously put two tables together for us (as the place was completely empty), the manager came over and said that was not allowed because a large party would be arriving next to us later. That party did not arrive until we were leaving. There would have been no harm in allowing our party to eat together instead of separate places in the dining room. Even a waiter apologized for the situation being incredibly awkward. I got the impression the waitstaff didn't like that manager very much.
Good tasting food, but very small portions.
The lobster risotto was amazing!
Great experience. We’ll be back!!!
Easy to find and complementary valet. Delish meal with a great wine list. Superb service.
Chris is wonderful and all is staff as well. The food is excellent and the service is outstanding.
Nice Italian restaurant with higher than average pricing for similar restaurants.
