Giovanni’s is an absolute must for connoisseur’s of Italian food. Our staff have worked in the finest restaurants across Italy; so you’re truly guaranteed an unforgettable Italian dining experience, in both food & service.
Our restaurant is housed in the beautiful Grade II listed building formerly known as the Old Post Office, on King Street in Knutsford. Richard Harding Watt influenced the town’s architecture by delivering a little piece of Italy for everyone to appreciate, up and down King Street, notably in the design of the memorial tower overlooking Giovanni’s.

Booking was easy. Greeted nicely on arrival and taken straight to the table. Drinks and food orders taken quickly. Service polite and quick. Staff attentive and very helpful. Looking forward to returning very soon.

An authentic and atmospheric Italian restaurant with a real friendly vibe, attentive service, good humour and delicious food at good prices. We were treated as individuals and attended to in a friendly cheerful manner. Will definitely go again.

Everything was okay but just 'okay'. My daughter and I both commented that we were underwhelmed. The restaurant boasts a smart exterior in an upmarket street in an upmarket town. I was disappointed and wouldn't go back. Apart from the manager, there were three young staff. All three served us, but all were luke warm and 'going through the motions'. Meal was adequate in portion size, ' did what it said on the tin' but no more. Cheesecake was more like a tirimisu in texture. Pretty joyless to be honest.

Disappointed with food, menu had changed since we last visited. Only one steak on menu, an extremely expensive fillet. Monkfish was nice, a bit ‘fluffy’ as I think it was frozen, but tasted nice in a lovely sauce. Unfortunately most of the dish was made up of potato though. Starter was lovely, we shared a seafood plate. Husband had the pizza but wasn’t mad about it! The upside was the staff are really nice and service was great.

Our favourite place with our family. Great food, tiramisu always. Fabulous service and the most wonderful staff team. A happy Sunday.
