For over 20 years, Chef Robert Holden worked side-by-side with master chef Giovanni Carandola, perfecting his ability to create one-of-a-kind Italian dishes. The recipes used at Giovanni’s come from regions of Sicily and Northern Italy, which makes for a truly authentic Italian menu.

Service was awful, the server did not know how to pronounce the dishes herself and poured a bottle of wine with the foil dangling from the bottle. Appetizers AND Entrees came in at the SAME time and my side came in very late. I had asked for the side to be reheated and was taken and never came. Got charged for it and wasn’t allowed to get a refund because I had already paid. I was given a $15 off next visit coupon for my troubles which is AWFUL, hands down the worst experience ever.

We were able to sit outside and it was like having the whole restaurant to ourselves! Our server was sweet, attentive and knowledgeable, and the food was amazing. I highly recommend the Korean barbecue Bern and if you’re looking at appetizers, and the crème brûlée for dessert.

Our party of six had a delightful European style dinner. Everybody ordered something different for dinner, and there were nothing but positive comments. I especially enjoyed the veal piccata. Despite the deck and bar room being full, the main dining room was not ignored, and our waiter paced our meal European style to allow us time to socialize and converse.

I really hate leaving poor reviews, and I know I visited on a particularly bad night when the restaurant was severely understaffed—but the dining experience was so disappointing, it bordered on comical. It started with our server bringing out the wrong champagne, then accidentally spilling the entire glass when he set it down. I later ordered a glass of red wine and even pointed to it on the menu, but he still brought out the wrong wine (a Moscato). When our food finally arrived, the "Mixed Vegetables" side turned out to be a quarter of an uncooked tomato, a single piece of lettuce, and three onion peels. I ordered the salmon, which somehow managed to be so overcooked it was chewy. My boyfriend ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo, saying, “You can’t mess up pasta,” but it came out with hair in it—more than one strand, and definitely not ours. On a more positive note, the Oyster Rockefeller was a great deal—$10 for a dozen. Unfortunately, by the time they arrived, the cheese on top had already hardened, even though the oysters themselves were piping hot. Still, for the price, I won't complain too much. The decor was also a mixed bag. The dining room ceiling was half-painted, which gave off a neglected vibe, but the bar area looked beautiful. Overall, even with a Groupon, it wasn’t a great anniversary dinner. If we had paid full price (around $100 for three glasses of wine, one appetizer, and two entrées), we would’ve been a lot more upset. Sadly, I can't recommend this place based on our experience.

Unfortunately, the only positive aspect of our experience was the waitress's service, everything else fell short of expectations: - We were greeted badly upon arrival. - We ordered carpaccio but received a thick raw beef with tomato slices and artichoke, which is not carpaccio at all and was inedible. - My pasta dish was served cold, and my wife's was undercooked. - The restaurant's ceiling was partially painted, giving an unfinished appearance. - The establishment was completely empty, suggesting experiencing difficulties. During our meal, someone removed the flower vase from our table as they were leaving. In summary, the restaurant appears to be on the verge of closing. The food quality was subpar, and the atmosphere was unwelcoming. We unfortunately strongly advise avoiding this establishment at all costs.

Lovely service but some of the worst Italian food I’ve ever had, Pizza was soggy, pasta mushy. Really not good.

This was one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to, if not the worst. I normally wouldn’t write a review, especially one this length, but it was so terrible I would hate for anyone else to have to experience it. From arrival (we arrived on time and with a reservation for indoors), we were not greeted but just asked how many. I said I had a reservation and she said that she could seat us outside and seemed confused on the system for reservations because she had no tables inside. It was pretty hot out so we really didn’t plan to eat outside and when we asked again, she said she could look and then “found” a table magically indoors. At the front entrance while we waited, the vent above on the ceiling was full of dust and looked completely unkept. Upon entering the dining hall, it was so loud my partner and I couldn’t even have a conversation to one another without raising our voice to an uncomfortable level. The ceiling was also not finished painted, the table had two peppers and no salt and the main lights kept flickering in the building. The waitress came and when asked about drinks she seemed to have no idea what was on the menu and if the bar even had any of the items. When ordering food, she did not even know what the meal came with and had to reflect at the menu herself when inquired about my side because she thought I only got a filet mignon with the meal and no side. The oil mixture left with bread was terrible and cheap. My boyfriend ordered a drink and it took so long he had to inquire the status twice. When food arrived, i was not given the correct side and had to wait for that to be corrected. The waitress also almost dropped the whole tray of food then almost did it a second time when she brought the corrected dish. The food was terrible. Filet was over charred and not seasoned. Pasta watered down and not warm. Vegetable side was two lettuce leaves, chunk tomato, a lemon wedge… second drink never came until meal was over so canceled it. It was bad.
