Wow, I’ve been here close to half dozen times at least, really not blown away with cuisine but there are nice items. Not tonight. Being a big fan of the classic pasta dishes I was glad to see carbonara listed as a special with a cute name ‘carbonara in a jar’ with Brussel sprouts. I also love Brussel sprouts. It was as advertised coming out in a layered large mason jar shaken not stirred and poured into a bowl. Poured is the operative word here. It became soup not sauced. The sprout leaves, no bodies, totally overwhelmed the soup. Poising as carbonara. The pasta was swimming in the jar such that it was, well clearly not al dente. I get it you want to try and give something special. Maybe the American palate needs bread and show. Gimmicks don’t work more often than not and here it shined brightly. Carbonara is a simple 3 ingredient dish, needing delicate execution to produce stunning richness. This was not carbonara even ‘reimagined. Relics stay in jars and this one should be preserved and put on the shelf never to rise again. Another special was the limoncello pie. Homicide case #2. I was perplexed why it took so long to come out but soon found out why. The ‘not fresh’ portion probably was left in the walk-in and need time to defrost. The filling had shrunken from the edge as first evidence and the fruit compote completed the indictment as it was still marginally unfrozen. I am truly saddened that this pleasantly adorned restaurant with professional stuff at least in front continues to disappoint.

Food is was excellent however I was underwhelmed with the service. We were seated at a small table and waitstaff kept asking to clear plates as we were eating. The Boise from the kitchen staff was loud and we could hear them as we were dining.

Even though the restaurant was fairly empty, despite my objections, our party of six were seated at a high top table in the bar area where is was hard to talk to our friends at the if the table. Your hostess should have just honored my request. Our server was excellent but the lemon chicken couldn't have been drier and more over cooked...and too salty. The gnocchi sauce was too sweet. The best part was the spinach that came with the chicken and bread. Our friend's pasta arrived before there salad. Too much hovering around our table to remove plates when we were not finished. Won't be back.

This restaurant purposely does not feature your favorite Italian food, in my opinion. It goes over- board on making pasta dishes too gourmet. Not traditional dishes. It charges extra for everything like bread and another cup of coffee. The prices are way too high for what you get. I am Italian and have eaten at almost Italian restaurant in the Northwest suburbs. So I have a good perspective on the food and I grew up eating Italian food. This restaurant gets 1 star.

First time here (they opened in October ‘24). I ordered the chicken with roasted lemon and white whine sauce - could drink it up! ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Started with Arancinis (comes as three little balls) - great taste. The focaccia bread was LARGE and in charge. However, very fluffy. Good. For desert, the cannolis were amazing - lemon forward on the filling. The tiramisu was HUGE. The dusting of non-sweet coco on the top was like trying the cinnamon challenge - except with coco - just a lot of it.

Kasia was the best server! She was very knowledgeable about wine and food and made the experience great. Food and atmosphere was amazing and I will definitely be going back!

The ladies at the reception desk need training and learn how to properly greet customers - this is not McDonald’s. We’d booked our reservations way in advance - initially they shoved us to a hi top table at the bar and when we asked for a different table they sat us in a separate room that was freezing and loud - very uncomfortable dining experience. Our waiter Josh was great and the food is very good. However, the overall experience was disappointing and the room was so cold that it was uncomfortable- we did ask to see if they could control the temperature but nothing was done. The managers need to pay attention and train their greeting staff.
