   Our best dining experience in Japan. We sat at the bar and the service was stellar. Plates were brought out in a timely manner and our waitress from Hong Kong spoke excellent English, which led to some great conversation. The sommelier also did his part to make for an unforgettable meal. We had also made conversation with him throughout the night, and managed to try a variety of sake from local vendors that opened our eyes to how diverse sake could be. The selection of spirits felt custom tailored to us, finishing with a degustation dessert wine from Spain, as it had come out in conversation that we were Spanish and that our sommelier had lived there for a month to study wines. The food itself was nothing short of spectacular. The restaurant offered kaiseki style multiple course meal with a slight modern twist. The quality of ingredients was fantastic, and, as someone that dislikes the taste of seafood, not a crumb was left on my plates. The price of the meal was excellent, offering a bargain over similar quality meals we had had in Tokyo. Overall, an unforgettable dining experience.

   値段の割に内容は普通だった。お漬物も無く京都らしいところが無く残念。もう一品何か欲しい。スタッフの雰囲気がプライドが高い感じがして居心地が悪いと感じた。もう行かないと思う。

   We visited La Bombance Gion for our wedding anniversary dinner and everything was impeccable; service, atmosphere and of course food, that use local and seasonal ingredients and are not only delicious but also being creative, beautiful to look at, and sometimes playful and fun. We requested sake parings instead of wine pairing, and again we were delighted as they all perfectly matched the food as we learned so many delightful Kyoto sake we didn’t know existed. Thank you also the lovely Happy Anniversary plate, it was a wonderful way to finish our anniversary night. Can’t wait for our next visit when we are back in Kyoto, hopefully it won’t be long.

   お料理は目で楽しみ、舌で美味しく味わい、量も丁度良く本当に良かったです。お店の方も丁寧で親切でした。

   一汁三菜でドリンク付き1人3,000円、美味しかったのは確かですが、正直あれぐらいのクオリティーならもっとコスパ良く美味しいお店はいくらでもあるので、総じてこちらのお店に関してはコスパが悪いように感じました。言わば京都価格ですね。あと、来店した日は自分たち以外にお客さんがおらず、スタッフ4人ほどの視線をずっと感じながらの食事だったので、終始見られてるようで落ち着かなかったです。他にも席が埋まってれば気にならなかったと思いますし、向こうも仕事ですから仕方なかったでしょうが、あの場合ならスタッフは1,2人でこちらを見てるようで見てない、呼ばれたらすぐいけるぐらいの立ち位置にしてもらった方が良かったです。ランチタイムも12:00~14:00で短いと思いますし予約がしづらいなと思いました。ただ最後に、サプライズでお祝いをして頂いて感激でした。予約の際に備考欄のメッセージを確認して下さったのでしょう。大変嬉しかったです。ありがとうございました。

   料理の内容が素晴らしい次世代型飲食ですよ。希望事項としては、食事はカロリー時代から栄養バランス時代です。その点をもっと説明できればさらに素晴らしい

    My second visit. Loved it as much as the first. Will go again and again. Delicious, well-presented food. The young lady (from Ishikawa) who brought me my food was superlative - She explained all dishes in English, was very friendly and provided fabulous service.
