Gino’s Taverna is a family run restaurant set up by the late Gino Renoldi. Attached to the side of a busy town pub it offers a friendly, old fashioned, restaurant vibe selling freshly cooked food from Italian classics to Galician steaks. Our signature dish being a 900 gram Galician Ribeye on the bone carved at the table for two. With a stone pizza oven and an outside dining terrace. The restaurant has plenty to offer.

Food was excellent- good choice and great value for money. Between the 4 of us we had a variety of starters, mains, pasta, pizza and desserts. All good size portions. It was a Tuesday evening, with very few other diners there. The waitress was very attentive and noted that we queried the strange background music (traditional Italian but comedic style), so she offered to change it to something more normal. Would go back there again.

The food was absolutely incredible and we thoroughly enjoyed every dish, however sadly the service was poor. We arrived and we were not acknowledged by any member of staff. After 10 minutes we sat at the nearest table. It took nearly an hour to get a drink to our table and another 30 mins for our food order. The service was very slow. Although we were told they were a member of staff down, it was chaotic and stressful. When we asked for the bill, all of the food was missing and I had to ask for a bill that included the food! Luckily we are very honest people otherwise the restaurant would have been down £130! It is such a shame as it is a great venue locally with incredible food

Loved eating at Ginos Taverna , the food was fantastic, really hot at service. I requested jacket potato instead of fries & they did this with no fuss at all. They kept coming to the table to top up our wine & to see if everyone & everything was okay & chatty to us throughout. I would 100% recommend Ginos Taverna xx
