   1st visit to a Gino’s restaurant and it surpassed our expectations- lovely food & excellent service

   Bit disappointed overall with this visit. Food was tasty but cool. Comparing to visit a few years ago this restaurant has definitely slipped a notch. Staff did their job, but not over friendly or talkative. Other diners were complaining about temperature of food but in my opinion it was possibly being left too long on the pass before service. We did get a nice table overlooking the river though so not all bad.

   We asked to change table for a view of the river which the staff were happy to do. Food was excellent and great service.

   Poor value for money. Margarita £17:50 and pizza topping stingy, no seasoning, hardly any cheese and minimal tomato sauce. Ambiance minimal, no managers present in restaurant. Have been regular customers but this has been the worst experience so far. What a shame, such a great venue.

   It was just okay , ordered muscles for starter but didn’t have any then had to quickly look again at menu , maybe we could have been told they had ran out when giving menus? Service was okay didn’t have much interaction with diners . I ordered mash potato side but roast potatoes brought out , I was expecting a much better dining experience . Definitely over priced for a average meal out , not likely to visit again

   I took my 89 and 85 year old parents for a meal and unfortunately the music level made it very hard for them to hear! It involved a lot of shouting across the table! Leo however was a perfect and very attentive waiter. He looked after us well. I didn’t mention the music as I didn’t want to ruin the ambience for others.

   Service was good but food was absolutely terrible. If you looking for true Italian expierince than avoid this place. If this place would be ever visited by its public face Gino, he would shut it down straight away. Bruschetta was oily with so called san marzano tomatoes and waaaay to much pepper in it. Margharita pizza- dough was good, can’t complain but tomato sauce was shocking. It supposed to be san marzano tomatoes for a reason- flavour, which was killed in this pizza by seasoning. Strangely again too much pepper and oregano which killed flavour of tomato.. Do not recommend and won’t be back. There are so many smaller restaurant which serves sooo much better food for half of the price.

   Second time here and the food is just amazing. Our first waitress let the experience down. I didn’t realise the kids pasta came with meat in it and my son doesn’t eat meat. She was very unsympathetic and dismissive. Just stating it says it on the menu which is guaniciale . Needless to say we picked out all the pieces of meat. Rest of service was really good as half way through a different waiter served us and he was really attentive. Food was lovely and the views are nice.

   Lovely setting for what was a delicious meal with my husband. The service was terrific and the staff were very warm and inviting making it a brilliant start to our night. The one downside was where we were seated, near the back door which when opened created quite a draught. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family.
