   Honestly after reading the reviews we were expecting something special. Their on line menu shows Shabu shabu - but beware they don’t do it. We would have preferred to be seated at the bar since they didn’t have it. The server was mostly awol. Food took forever even with 4 sushi chefs behind the bar. The eel and foie gras roll very good as was the giant shrimp with miso Mayo. The California roll barely had any crab (only ordered bc stated real crab). The spider roll decent. Ordered a toro hand roll and got a yellow tail instead. Couldn’t have the hamachi Kama bc only available for chef 6 course people. Pricey and definitely didn’t live up to the hype. Parking also difficult.

   Beautifully chosen, curated, cut and served sashimi and rolls with elevated presentation and gastronomy. Cocktails were well-crafted and delicious. The shiso martini is next level. Loved everything we tasted. This isn't a place you go for "value" but for the experience and Ginko delivers impeccably.

   Simply the best! So difficult to get a reservation because it’s such a small restaurant, but we’ll worth the wait! Definitely the best sushi we’ve had in cleveland.

   First order of food came out in decent time. We waited 45 min for the next three sushi rolls and place was not crowded. Our server was very inattentive, always seemed rushed, and would not be seen for 20 to 30 minutes.

    The entire experience was phenomenal. It was our first time visiting and we cannot rave enough about the food. The quality of the fish, drinks, and oysters was superb. The Purin and the Yuzu sorbet capped everything off perfectly. Highly recommend. The ambiance made us feel as though we were in a small sushi bar somewhere in Japan. The quality of the food topped all of that.

    I thought the food was very good, not great. Service was sub par. We had to keep flagging down the server for drinks and to place order. I was expecting higher quality of service. In fairness to our server he seemed to be responsible for the majority but f the customers and making his own cocktails. He was very friendly but didn’t give a whole lot of info on the menu and we told him it was our first time there. I would go back but wouldn't be the first on my list to visit.

    Wonderful cocktails, appetizers, nigiri sushi and desserts. Pricier than other sushi restaurants locally but unusual offerings as well as typical ones. Great service.

    Spectacular cuisine and service. The team skillfully created perfect dishes that urged one to stop and observe closely prior to a slow and careful consumption of each piece of art.     Having dined at Ginko many times before, and very much enjoyed the experience; this time left much be be desired. As someone that works in the service industry, I understand the challenges of creating a hospitable service and juggling reservations. Timing can be tricky, but for a $250 meal the bar is fairly high. However, it was a bit overkill to be reminded no less than 5 times that our reservation was for 2 hours maximum and that we had to be out at 8pm. At one point, the waiter was reminding us 40 minutes, and then 20 minutes out that our reservation would be expiring shortly. We decided to leave early instead. If there were options to be seated at the bar, upstairs, etc. it was not offered to us, and rushing us out truly took away from the dining experience. My sister was also pretty disappointed when we initially inquired about Mocktails, we were offered fountain soda as the only non alcoholic option. This was later rectified by another staff member. Overall, disappointing service for a beautifully prepared meal.

    We have been searching for good+ sushi since moving to Ohio in 2018. Tremont is a trek for us so It took us 4 years to finally try it! TBH, the restaurant itself is a little disappointing, it is-and feels like- a basement. The service was friendly but spotty and the pacing of our meal was way off. Appi took 45 minutes, sushi took another 20, people seated later were served way before us. We were starving and a little tipsy by the time we ate. Our annoyance floated away when we started eating. Phenomenal. Perfection. Malibu quality in a Midwest basement. Worth the drive, worth the wait. Go!!

    This was our first time to Ginko but have been to Dante’s several time. The sushi was very good and one of the Japanese/Sushi restaurants we've experienced in Cleveland.
