Arrived at 19:30 on Friday 6th as per Open Table Booking to find the Restaurant in darkness and no signs of life! Also, there was a lady standing outside looking distraught as she was expecting another seven people to join her for dinner! She’d booked via Open Table too. Luckily, as there was only two of us, we managed to get a table at Fego around the corner. Open Table should not be taking bookings for this Restaurant, as further research on the Internet when I go home found it had shut abruptly at the end of July. Not a good experience!

The restaurant was shut with no indication whether it was temporary or permanent. Open table should not take bookings if it is not trading or closed for holidays. We had to find an emergency alternative.

Having booked a table through OpenTable we arrived at Gingernut at 7.30 on Sat. 10th August to find the restaurant in darkness with no sign of life whatsoever. In other words it was obviously closed. As you can imagine we were extremely annoyed . Why on earth did OpenTable take our booking and confirm the booking by email when the restaurant was closed? I don't think I can recommend Gingernut or OpenTable
