Pleasantly surprised, Great patio, great food, great service, not too loud, just a great hidden gem that was very comfortable for our table of 6... Will be back for sure!
The food was very good and the price point was about right for the food.
Ginger Monkey Gastropub has very good food, in a relaxed and casual dining atmosphere. There is a bar with sports on displays where some were having fun, and a dining room that is fairly quiet. We had the Buffalo Cauliflower and it was delicious. The pizza was great too. I look forward to returning soon to try other food items on their very creative menu.
First time going here and we loved it! Awesome food !!!!!
Friday Night Lights!
Food was okay and menu is somewhat limited for a gastropub. Service to our table was slow and then we felt rushed to order and wrap up when we were attended to.
Malleey N was an amazing server - friendly, attentive and gave great recommendations. Hostess was awesome when we asked to be seated away from loud singer (only issue). Fabulous food - each of the 5 of us had different selections. Great drinks too!
Nice ambiance and decor. Service was fast and food good.
Disappointed in the overall cleanliness. Also, for having live music, the place was dead. Food was over cooked. Finally, what type of bar runs out of Captain Morgan???
Sat on the patio which was so incredibly loud from the live music inside that we could barely hear each other. It’s not like we’re old..we’re in our 30s! Drinks took forever! Server apologized for 15min saying they’d be right out. The shrimp caprese salad was good but took 20min. The pepperoni pizza was horrible! Tasted like an ice skating ring microwaveable pizza. The salmon BLT with onion rings were great though. They do allow dogs on their patio which is the only reason is go back but with much lower expectations.
I order a seared salmon and the restaurant put some vegetables as side. However, the vegetables was so hard to cut into pieces. Suggest you pick other side dishes.
Service was very slow, we were there 45 minutes before our food order was taken. I think our waitress forgot us because others who were seated after us had food on the table before we had even ordered. The food was so so. BBQ ribs were tender and meaty but the sauce was overly sweet. Lobster Mac was congealed and gluey by the time I finished (and I’m not a slow eater!) Seating was also unfortunate - we were blinded by the sun every time the door opened.
Wings were the best. Items seem to be a little pricey.
Put in a reservation for my husband‘s 50th birthday for six people. When we arrived, the place was closed. It ruined Our entire evening because we were scrambling to find another place to each which subsequently, ruined our next event which was an escape room that was scheduled for 730 that evening. We missed that as well.
We recently moved to the area and this was our first restaurant experience. Our waitress, Rachel, was extremely kind and professional. We sat outdoors where they have fake grass for the pups. I love that this place is dog friendly! They even have items on the menu for your dog. I'll definitely come back with my lab mix. The food was super tasty, as were the drinks. They had a great ambience as well and a great selection of beer on tap.
my wife's food was fine. My entrée (lobster mac & cheese) was cold, runny and not tasty.
As the temperature was on the warm side, we chose to sit inside as patio is only partially shaded with a slow moving fan. Fortunately enough space between tables and customers to allow social distancing comfort.
Food is typical bar type, nothing extraordinary. But it was good. Service was fairly good at first but dwindled over time. By the end, had to ask another server to get the check for us as our waiter was MIA.
Patio is large so would be worth checking out when weather permits. But not a regular destination spot.
Prompt attention and service was great. I gave 4 stars because during the evening at some point music started being played so loud that we could hold a conversation without yelling and we were on the deck, we had to ask to turn it down.
Very poor service. We ordered apps which we never received. We had to ask for silverware and he never checked back to see how the food was. He had too many tables.
The music piped in could have been less loud. Great server Dominic
It’s hit or miss. We’ve had some great experiences and some not so great experiences. We got the fish fry special and it was over cooked, almost burnt. We were tired and hungry, as we waited quite a bit for our food this last time and decided to chalk it up to a bad day and order something different next time. Server was great. Did see management walking around but they never stopped at any of the tables.
Really liked this restaurant. Interesting variety of food and great service.
The place was almost empty when we arrived. I told the girl at the front that we had a reservation for 6pm. She got very confused and went to get help. Not sure why we just couldn’t be seated. Then another gentleman approached us and we just asked to be seated. He sat us right away. The server was very pleasant but seemed to be newer to the menu. When asked if I could sub out my side for soup she said there wasn’t an option for that on their computer. Seems odd to me as most restaurants will allow this with an up charge. So I ordered a side that was listed as an option but asked her to confirm for me when putting in the order. My husband ordered the Reuben burger which obviously comes with pastrami. He asked for all the toppings to be placed on the side and hold the Kraut. We waited for at least 30 min or so for our food. Seemed odd given the lack of customers but it is what it is. I never heard back on the soup so I assumed it wasn’t an option. Well, low and behold the food arrived and I was able to get soup. Yay! However my husbands Reuben had all toppings on the side, but his burger was missing the key ingredient, pastrami. When he pointed it out the server said she didn’t want to touch his burger to check when she got his food from the kitchen. Seemed like a odd response given you could tell that the burger was only a patty and bun and seeing it’s named Reuben, you’d expect to see a pile of pastrami on top of the burger without having to take off the bun. She apologized and took the plate back. When she returned, there was pastrami added but not as much as you would have expected from the picture in the menu. In fact it seemed to be one slice. My husband just accepted it and we began to eat our meal. My grilled cheese bacon tomato sandwich was good, but would have been better with a little more bacon. There were only two slices wothin two large pieces of sourdough. My husbands burger was tasty and all our food was hot. Overall the experience was ok. Not great.
Food was not that great and service was slow and it was made that you can only order off the brunch menu at the time we were there.
Service was a little slow but made up for it by free fries when order was messed up
This is the second time we’ve been to this restaurant, the first time was outstanding, this time absolutely horrible. To not be prepared on St. Patrick’s Day, to have large crowds come in is inconceivable. First we had a reservation, they did not honor that. They did not even have a room for us they had to make us room by the bathroom, next we waited over an hour for our Appetizers, and an hour and a half for our food which then came out cold, and friends I’m talking ice cold. I made the manager of the house touch my food because it was ice cold, I ordered salmon and brussels sprouts not very hard to make. Extremely disappointed do not recommend them anymore management has changed and it is definitely going downhill
Food was good, like always. When we asked about dessert and coffee, we were told "We are out of coffee." There was no offer to make fresh coffee. Maybe they were completely out and couldn't make any, but that wasn't the impression I got.
We ordered one of the dessert items off the menu & we were told "Sorry, we are out that item. "
Customer service has been good in the past. Maybe this was just an off night. I hope so - I really want Ginger Monkey to succeed.
Our waitress was amazing, fast and friendly, the atmosphere was fun and the food was fabulous!
First visit to this restaurant. Table dirty. Asked for it to be cleaned. Waitress was awesome (Cindy).
Food average. Wings excellent, fried fish good, coleslaw bland, fries horrible. Short rib sliders ok.
Wait staff and managers very service oriented!
We went here (2020) after they reopened following a renovation on Restaurant Impossible and a new chef had been hired. Since it was still during COVID, we were cautious and spent a short amount of time in the bar. We had 'pork wings' which were delicious and the Charcuterie Board which was good, especially the housemade jam.
We were there this past Friday night March 5th, 2021. We arrived about 5:15; the patio area is lovely and most people were seated there, but all available tables weren't occupied. It was a windy and cool evening, so we opted for the bar.
We shared the short rib sliders, which were very good. My house salad was standard fare, but it wasn't very cold and some of it was rather wilted. I hadn't specified a dressing so Ranch was brought on the side .... very nice.
We thought pricing was ok for what we got, but we weren't impressed enough to put this on our "go to" list of places we enjoy eating. We aren't huge fans of sports bars, in general.
The fries were raw (both regular and sweet potato) and the burger was oily and had a weird texture. The only edible food were the wings and the chopped salad. Won’t be back.
The live muisic was way too loud. I will call to see if there is live music before I came back in.
This probable one of the worst meals I have had in a long time. The short rib sandwich is really fatty. The white balsamic dressing is terrible. They have a nice atmosphere. It's too bad the food is gross.
Sat for 10 minutes then had to go ask for someone to wait on us. Once they did the service was just fine. Two of us had the steak and more than half of each was all fat. Inedible. The band that started at 8pm was really bad. We left within an hour of sitting down. You also don’t have to buy tickets to hear the band as we did as they can be heard anywhere you sit inside or on the patio. Very disappointed.
Sticky tables, unremarkable food. Probably won’t return.
Some at our table thought their food was not warm enough.
Most at the table felt the music was too loud, interfering with conversation.
Flavor was good, I thought.
Presentation of food was not as expected and plate for salad was not big enough, so made a mess when trying to cut up wedge salad. Guests food was not as good as expected and did not finish as a result. Disappointed overall. Server was excellent. We sat outside on patio which had been redecorated and was nice.
The food was not good. I had their IPA chili that came cold and my husband had the lobster mac and cheese that was very bland. My husband ordered a beer that they forgot to bring to him. We asked the manager for the beer, he brought it to him and said the waiter forgot and he will take care of it. We were still charged.
We were seated right away when we arrived. Our service was very good, attentive but not annoying. She responded to our needs very quickly. The food quality was excellent in my opinion. Some items seemed a little bit high priced but I found them to be an excellent value. We will definitely come back to visit again for lunch or dinner.
