Set in a tropical garden, located in the heart of lower Johnston Street. The wine bar Abbotsford has been waiting for celebrates Australian produce and minimum intervention wines

We are proudly an accessible space with ramped access throughout, DDA toilets and compassionate staff.

Gilbees is outstanding. We had the set menu and every course was unique and delicious. The freshest seafood paired with great wines, served by relaxed, attentive staff made for an excellent evening. Well done James and team, we look forward to our next visit.

Exceptional food and ambiance. We had the banquet which was also amazing value. We would highly recommend Gilbees to anyone.

An hidden gem! 5 star service, 5 start food and 5 star wines. What a delight. Not only do the staff know their stuff, they are friendly and engaging & made the whole experience. Sitting out back under the cover with the patio heaters, you wouldn’t even know it’s cold outside. Can’t wait to go back again and again! Ps, try the octopus!

Staff were extremely welcoming, the food was delicious, great music, and the environment warm & cosy. Great spot for a special occasion or a random mid-week night.

Soooo good!! Thursday night special is such a deal. Perfect spot for date night, bestie night, anything really! The back garden it charming. 1000% coming back.

Gilbee's is a gem. The service is professional bur relaxed and friendly. The food is so exciting and the use of fresh wonderful ingredients is outstanding. Great wine list and advice. Terrific value - we have been back 3 times! Congratulations Gilbee's - a great restaurant

What a great find in Abbotsford. A wonderful friendly team who provide exceptional service. Amazing what one chef produces from his kitchen, great value and a beautiful setting in the courtyard with floral arrangements I want to take home :) This will become our new local fave.
