Service and food were great. Its a bit noisy in there and because the building is all glass it gets really hot. Would be a lot better if there was some shade and AC.

They were out of burrata and we were told 1,000 would be flown in the next day. (They claim to serve fresh within 48hrs so I'm not sure if this is actually the case). They were also out of pizza. Our reservation was for 5pm so it wasn't like we went late into dinner service. The house bread was very heavy and seemed doughy. Meatballs were fine although I didn't love the texture. Cacio e pepe was fine too. Nothing blew me away but they're new so hopefully they'll work out the kinks.

I understand this review is relative to the timing of our visit and that the restaurant is likely still working through the kinks of opening, however working in corporate hospitality myself, I did want to ensure the feedback was delivered as I know it can contribute to better experiences in the future. We were so excited to try Gigi's as we absolutely love Ask for Luigi and have never had a bad experience there. When we were seated by the host, we were told that they were all out of burrata which was disappointing as it was one of the main items we wanted to try, but understandable as I am sure its incredibly popular. She also advised that it was happy hour for another 30 minutes. We were then greeted by our server who was lovely and let us know that they were almost out of pizza and if we wanted to order pizza we would have to order it right away. In a quick rush, we ordered one pizza from happy hour and one regular menu pizza and a pasta. After that order was in, we ordered our drinks - one aperol spritz and one non-alc spritz. The server then came back to let us know that non-alc spritz was also out, which was also disappointing. Overall, the food was delicious, and came out incredibly hot. Our server was very attentive to check in, ask if we wanted more drinks and fill up waters. She was also incredibly quick with getting us a to go box and getting our bill and payment processed. When we got home and looked at the bill, we noticed that we had paid regular price for the happy hour pizza , rather than the lesser happy hour price which was an added pain point to our visit. Overall, the space and the food were delicious and the server was wonderful. I believe that in a few weeks/months once these problems are fine tuned, I would hope to return and have a better experience.

we had the chicken and the fruiti da mari. The chicken was tasteless, the pasta had only a few pices of seafood with some strange salt on the black pasta. We won’t be back.

Pros: Amazing food, drinks, service, ambiance!!!! Cons: booked a reso and was told we may need to wait 45 mins for the previous booking to leave. Was alternatively sat outside, but eventually moved inside after requesting because it was cold. They are on the right path and the restaurant has all it will take to be amazing, they just need to iron out the kinks.

This place Ugg! Where do I start… the food was so delicious, fresh and delectable, the menu is spot on- has tid bits of everything. The pistachio pesto burrata was to die for. Delivered straight from Puglia within the last 48 hours- YES PLEASE!! The Mozzarella en Carozza was so crispy and cheesy. A definite must try! The drink menu is huge with great variety, it was happy hour with 25% off on wine bottles. A bottle of White wine paired with the Ragu Bianco and Luigi’s Bolognese pastas was a no brainer. The pastas were made to perfection and mouth watering! The service- my gosh. Our server was so fun, professional, funny and attentive. This place is a must try. I cannot wait to come back and try other items!!

Service was great. Food was fantastic - seemingly all ingredients were brought in from Italy. Setting was nice but a lite cramp and too open. Would certainly go again.

What a great evening! The room was beautiful. Service was prompt and knowledgeable. The cocktails were excellent. They were 100% out of burrata and limoncello, but the bolognese was the best we’ve had in a long time. Portions were small but perfect for sharing! We ordered 4 items for 4 adults plus the Tiramisu which is a must! Happy to have this dining option in Coquitlam 👏

I made a reservation for two and we were seated beside the front counter. I asked the hostess if we could move to another table at the end of that row, closer to the kitchen, but she said no, stating that the restaurant was pretty much booked — without checking. That table, along with a few others in the same row, remained empty for the entire duration of our visit. The Prosciutto & Arugula Pizza was great. Frutti di Mare was quite salty. I would visit again.
