Great food and service. Always consistent.
authentic Italian cuisine. Wine was superb. I will be back.
Great overall experience with terrific menu and very attentive service. A must do if you are in TriBeCa.
we had a birthday party for a cousin and they put us in the back so we felt like we had the place to ourselves. It was lovely and the staff were very cool in letting us take over a bit. It was great. Many thanks!
I like the pizza. I'm annoyed that I have to use 50 characters to write a review.
This restaurant has stood the test of time in Tribeca. Authentic Italian with warm and friendly service.
Top notch dining every time! I love this restaurant.
Always trust Gigino for solid Italian food. Whether eating there or ordering in, the food is always good. Plenty of options for everyone.
This was our first time eating at Gigino and it will not be our last! The restaurant is old New York, spacious and not noisy. The food is class Italian, very fresh and expertly made. The wait staff is friendly, courteous and well-attuned to the customers' wants and needs (quite rare actually).
We have always enjoyed the Battery Park location and were pleased to find the same at this location. We love the shaved pear salad and the pasta with beets. We enjoyed the cosy atmosphere. We will be back.
Each time I eat there it's always the same. Delicious and always very welcoming
Absolutely fantastic homemade noodles, the food was incredible and the staff was efficient.
Many people wrote how wonderful the place smells and they aren’t lying. It hits you like a wall when you walk in.
Service was spectacular with the right amount of attentiveness at all times.
Food was very good.
I will go there again for sure
Gigino's is a favorite for many reasons. The food is delicious - fresh, creative and so flavorful. On this trip we enjoyed the amazing eggplant appetizer, a grouper special, and the Spaghetti Pardino. The service (Federico and Olga in particular) is outstanding..we always feel special, our glass is always full, and every request is met with a smile. Gigino's is that rare restaurant that can be a casual stop after a bike ride or a special night out! The atmosphere is warm, homey and the smell of bread baking is powerful when you walk in. You will leave happy and full!
Excellent food and very courteous service
We live in TriBeCa and have been dining at Gigino’s for 20 + years. Tha atmosphere always feels welcoming, the staff are most capable and friendly and the food is invariably of a very high standard.
Great food and great service
We had a wonderful dinner
Have often been here and have always enjoyed. Brought new friends who plan to come back.
That would nice if they play better music than pop music... This restaurant had the best tiramisu!
The food was very good, however the service was not. Our meals were served at different times so one of us was eating when the other was not. There was no apology for this. Additionally we were seated near the bathroom. This table should not exist. Every time someone went to use the bathroom, they knocked into my chair.
It was Valentines Day so lots of couples and Avery nice setting for that type of evening.
Our favorite place in Manhattan. Authentic Italian restaurant, great ambience. Perfect for a dinner date, special ocasions (birthdays etc.) or for casual dinner even. Prices are very good for that location. Recommended.
We had a fantastic meal and a wonderful time, at Gigino Trattoria, on Tuesday night.
Our meal included Fusilli pescatore-you could actually taste the ocean. The fusili had a true homemade taste, which brought me back to my Grandmother's kitchen table
Ziti pulcinella-this dish brings to mind the famous Forcella Street, in Naples, Italy, where people cooked on skillets, in the Street. With simple ingredients, Chef Gigi brought to life the exact flavor, of this traditional dish. We could almost hear the playful laughter of Pulcinella, himself.
Cold antipasto with homemade Buratta and sopressata & Italian delicacies.
Tutti andiamo mangiare da Gigino!
( Let's all go and eat at Gigino Trattoria!)
First time at Giginos. Excellent experience cozy atmosphere great wine.
Things started off poorly. I mistakenly made the reservation for the FOLLOWING Saturday eve. After a minute or two of confusion, the manager found us a seat at the bar, and 10 minutes later, a table. I greatly appreciate him accommodating us. The food was great as was the service. I will be back. Perfect example of how a manager can win (or lose) the restaurant clientele. Nice job!
Great place. Only issue is that the space is tight so they play with the tables and tell you the best ones are reserved. We are regulars at this place and can be annoying that they tell you a large table next to you or one of the ones in the second floor area are reserved and you realize that nobody seated there the entire night.
Other than that food is great, waiters are very friendly and give the place a flavor of been in Italy
We tried this restaurant when went on a date night with hubby. Overall, it was great. Quite packed but the noise level is very low. We were able to carry on a conversation comfortably. The antipasto selection is great. We tried the fried calamari, spicy mussels and prosciutto e mozzarella were very well done. We shared a main; pollo scarpariello. It was well cooked. The staff are friendly and the service was great. The wine list is good; lots of options. There’s street parking but tough to find a spot.
It was a networking session with a friend. We enjoyed the food, the service and the space.
Always delicious, cozy with great service and a fantastic menu. Good value. Not just another Italian restaurant.
This is a real reliable neighborhood staple which never disappoints. Been here for years and the reason is consistency. Good food and service, reasonable prices. What more do you want???
I love this place. Great food, service and atmosphere.
Second time here for New years Eve - decorated in a festive way - nice and warm being 10 degrees outside - service very good and friendly and not rushing - food was delicious - great vegetable soup and creamy barrata with Eggplant - would definitely go back
Like being in italy. Tasty food. Best risotto in the World
The pizza here was good but 2 courses and 2 glasses of wine came to almost $120 which really ridiculous for pizza and calamari that was over cooked and chewy. Forgot part of the order too and no apology which meant a wait. It would have been a great find if better value as the pizza was good.
Excellent in every way!
The service was very good and the food was great. We will definitely return.
Great food and service. I would recommend and go again.
I had a wonderful Christmas meal here with my Mom. I live in the neighborhood and I am so glad to have found this place. The pizza is phenomenal. Service is warm and attentive. Looking forward to going back!
