Gigino at Wagner Park

We think of Gigino as a neighborhood gem. The family gathers by the harbor and we feel like we are on vacation. The quality of the food is sustainably excellent, and the staff is super helpful! Thank you, Gigino.
Only one bathroom for the whole restaurant! Not acceptable.
Great view of NY harbor. Delicious food. Attentive friendly staff. Highly recommend!
Great place, great food and great service. The only feedback I have is that the cappuccino was almost at room temperature when it was served to us. Wish it was warmer especially that it was cloudy and a bit on the cold side that day. But overall a wonderful place. I would recommend Gigino.
What a view! But also what an oasis of quiet and repose in front of the harbor and yet so close to the noise and bustle of Fidi. Great food served with care in an idyllic setting.
You can have better meal in any pizzeria in NYC.
Great view , but you can chill on a bench for free.
Beautiful view, very good food but they should put some fans or portable AC units around the space. Extremely hot in the summer
I have been there many times over the years, and the food recently has been terrible. The location is, of course, fantastic, but the loud music playing on the lawn is insufferable.
Gem for a summer night whether you’re a tourist or local. A real treat to experience.
This was a gorgeous place . Food was good , service was great.
The food was absolutely amazing and what a beautiful place to spend for a relaxing Sat lunch. My daughter said the gluten free pasta tasted better than most of the regular pasta she has had!
You go there more for the view than the food. To really enjoy the view you need an outside table.
My wife and I had a lovely dinner in the middle of a heavy THUNDERSTORM. We ate in the outside patio!! Yes we did. Amazingly it was a delight. Great service, great food, and a total delight... without getting wet - - because the patio is covered with a big tent room that has clear plastic sides all around.
This is a 1st class place, not cheap but worth it. I recommend you try to dine here in a thunderstorm since it was so much fun. It felt like we were in a tent camping out... but in a dream because of the great food and service.
Service was great and the staff were very nice but we were harassed by a homeless man the entire beginning of our meal and at no point did a manager come over to apologize or offer us anything for the disturbance. It was very odd.
Great sunset dining. Servers were wonderful. Food was good just too much salt. Would still recommend
The food and the service were outstanding as always. Our favorite restaurant in the city.
The location is great, but you can't eat location. The wine selection was terrible, the food was almost inedible, and the portion sizes infinitesimal. Rather than go to this establishment, why not buy a pretzel and hot dog outside, sit on a bench in front of the restaurant facing the harbor, and enjoy the sunset?
All dining is outdoors and it was a lovely day with a stunning view of the harbor. Food was excellent and the waiter very helpful and friendly. Prices are not low but acceptable for what they deliver.
The setting was beautiful. The service was great. The wine choices were good.
The Grilled Salmon dish was pretty tasteless. My guess is that it had been frozen for way too long. I would think that the fish that gets served there would be incredibly fresh.
delicious food, gorgeous view! recommend it highly.
What can I say, I stop here every time I visit NYC and they never let me down.
Always a great meal and great service! Can't wait till the next time I'm in town.
The bar was SUPER small, took 15 minutes to even get the bartender to even give us a drink menu. The view was pretty, but not worth it. The food was bland and tasteless, service was okay but nothing special. Would not return.
As always, a great place to take visitors for good Italian fare, excellent staff and fabulous views.
You go for the view (of the Hudson and Statue of Liberty in the distance). The food was good, but very rushed service with tight tables. You are not having a leisurely dinner here, unless you go at the end of the evening. With that said, the location is the story here, and that made for a lovely (but quick) dinner.
The setting is beautiful. I was disappointed in the zuppa de pesce with couscous - I specifically asked what the ingredients were and the waiter only mentioned shellfish - no mention of any other fish. The dish was actually filled with an unidentifiable fish, very fatty and bony, and very disappointing. The view almost made it worth it, but I certainly would not order this dish again.
Every time I’ve eaten here, the food has been exceptional and it is a treasure to watch the sun set over the Hudson and share food with friends. Can’t wait to go back. Again.
Looking for an oasis in the Battery Park area? This is it! Great menu, fine food, efficient service, outdoor dining with a fabulous view, all found in this lovely restaurant. Definitely deserves another visit.
One of the WORST dining experiences we have ever had. New inexperienced waiter who was very nice but got almost everything wrong. Another person with experience should have been helping him. When one guest had bright sunshine glaring in his face and he asked if they kindly close one of the blinds, the hostess said “just wait the sun will be down in twenty minutes”. The salads were brought out incorrectly and a side dish ordered for dinner was brought out with the salad. It took three times for them to figure out that one guest who is celiac could actually get a piece of salmon that was NOT marinated. It was awful and they should be disgraced how they served it. AND it was the smallest piece of salmon ever served. I could go on and in because there was more issues but we will never be back and I hope nobody I know will go there. The bill was wrong, which was corrected. Not even an offer of coffee or dessert. Nobody was kind or friendly. Would not be upset to see them close.
Beautiful view of the waterfront and Statue of Liberty from our table on the patio was worth every penny. Excellent food and service too. We were there on a Wednesday evening and were so happy to see the sunset and all the sailboats. Pastas and salads and 2 drinks all very reasonably priced. The watermelon salad was delicious, as was the linguine with clams and the shrimp with spinach, garlic and olive oil. Would definitely come back.
Nice views! Server was very patient with our relaxed tourist, not in a hurry attitude. Nice place to eat outside and watch the sun set.
Lovely table outdoors watching twilight fall on the river as the boats drifted by Lady Liberty as the sun set. The food is always fresh and delicious and the menu is varied enough to please all tastes.
Beautiful views, lovely food, great way to enjoy New York
Very good food and view of the Statue Liberty. On sunny humid days it could get a little too hot and sweaty when sitting outside. Other than that, I highly recommend the place.
Great location. Wonderful food
Gigino‘s biggest asset is it’s unique location. It wouldn’t take much to make it a really great Italian restaurant, but the food is just subpar. While there seem to be a lot of waitstaff, service is ok, but not great. Please do something about it!
In summer, a most romantic outdoor patio from which to enjoy the sunset washing over the lighting Statue of Liberty as boats glide by while enjoying fine food and service.
Service was great! Food was great!
Perfect location. Very good food
Great service, wonderful food and wine along with the most magnificent sunset!
