Great service, great food. Service has been an issue at many restaurants lately so we were very impressed at how attentive service was ! Thank you for a nice night out
Everything was exceptional from food to ambience to service! A very special place
Delicious food, kids menu too expensive and very little amount of food. Views are beautiful...
The location and view are spectacular. Watched the sun set over the river and the Statue of Liberty come to life. Service was knowledgeable with solid recommendations and the food was fantastic. We had an unforgettable evening!
I recommend Gigino especially when the weather is warm enough to eat outside. The food is amazing, really Italian !
What a great experience. Great view and food. Look forward to going back again.
If you want a nice outdoor view this is a nice place, food is good service was good. i’d rate it 3 stars
Flying little gnats we’re all over us with outside seating , in our drinks and food. Had no cover our drinks with napkins. Had to move our table to further inside. Waiter was forgetful and actually checked drinks to see if bugs were really in the drinks, inspected them. But did replace them. SMH. Food was excellent.
Excellent service. Excellent food presentation. The taste was superb: Salmon Agrodolce... delicious. Celebrated two birthdays with a magnificent view of the Statue and Ellis Island. Always wonderful to dine outdoors.
I was dining alone— my last night in Manhattan! What a wonderful way to end a stay in my favorite city! Excellent food— I appreciate the ability to make healthy choices. Loved my chocolate dessert— great mix of flavors and again, perfect serving size. Can’t say enough about the super attentive but not obtrusive service and the gorgeous views. I will be back!!
Great table, unbeatable view. Caring and prompt service despite a full crowd of diners
Always a pleasure and last night was no exception. Gigino has long been our go-to place for special occasions and a destination for out of town guests. The view of the Statue of Liberty never fails to astound, plus the food and service are top notch. I always get the special spaghetti padrino, a dish I've never seen anywhere else and adore. So flavorful and unusual. My companions had seafood and raved. Great drinks and delicious salads. We saved room for the tiramisu, which is excellent. Love the lemon tart and chocolate lava cake as well. Highly recommend.
Make sure you have a lot of time, because the service is slow. The food was very good, however you have to wait for it.
9/11 Reunion with close friends who took care of us on the nite of 9/11/2001.
The view, the food, and the service, are all outstanding. This is one of my very favorite restaurants. Sitting outside, you have a wonderful view of the Statue of Liberty and the shoreline. What could be better? I got a glass of wonderful Prosecco along with linguine with white clam sauce which was outstanding and always is at this restaurant. In addition, I also got the eggplant with tomato sauce and Parmesan cheese appetizer to go along with it. It was also phenomenal. And their lattes are one of the best lattes I have ever had. The only thing that it would’ve made it even more perfect is if it could’ve been a bit quieter but no big complaints in that regard.
Excellent food and service and just about the best view in NYC.
Es un lugar ideal
Para ver la apuesta del sol . La comida y la atención son muy buenas
Went for a midweek lunch. Delicious food and helpful, attentive service. A little pricy as it's in a tourist-y area, but considering the quality of the food, I'd say it's not outrageous.
Terrible service. Especially too long waiting time. We had to call the waiter 3 times to order food. The waiter repeated " too busy", but I think they shouldn't have so many guests! I and my wife were looking forward to enjoying dinner but so disappointed.
We were really looking forward to dining here, location was great with stunning views and it had a 1 Michelin star! So all was set for having a great experience ….however that did not happen …service was all except great and the food was clearly not up to a Michelin star level….the linguine vongole was good but all the rest not worth mentioning …desserts were way below average…
Food, Service and Ambience was all great when we ate here. Would absolutely recommend it to anyone and everyone. Only negative was that it was humid so there were a lot of nats flying around so we had to cover our drinks and food when we were not eating or drinking. Pastas and Apps were 9 out of 10's.
Great food and service with wonderful views. A hidden gem, not touristic and wonderful menu.
Fantastic experience. Food was delicious. Service was on point. Beautiful views.
The outdoor tables, especially the ones at the end of the seating are offers great views of the waterway.
Food was pretty good
There were four of us. The order for salmon must have been miscommunicated initially, as it came to the table about 15 minutes AFTER everyone else (3 others) had been served. The server was very apologetic. Otherwise a very nice evening.
Delicious!! Fabulous service! Cloudy night, but still beautiful! Loved the salmon ceviche appetizer special!! Also the burrata, and the shrimp positano and shrimp portofino!! Huge menus!! And they are so good with pasta substitutions! It is a favorite!
Absolutely a fantastic dining experience! Great venue for family or business. Food, excellent, and the pricing is more than fair. Bar selection is good, but slightly less then exceptional, but good value. This is a must visit when you are in the city.
Birthday dinner love the outdoor experience & views. I try to go at least once year.
Great views of the river. It’s amazing on a sunny day. Plus, Battery Park is right there so you can go on a great walk by the river after the date.
If it’s hot out, then you will get a bit sweaty because the sun hits you directly.
Great location paired with very good food and very reasonable prices, excellent service
great place for watching a sunset dinner, but be aware gnats landing in your food and constantly annoying u. Food was ok, small portions & kinda touristy.
The food is very good, the service is excellent and the ambiance - with the fabulous views of the river and the Statue of Liberty can’t be beat. If you live uptown it’s a little out if the way but well worth the trip. Highly recommend,
As always, a delightful experience. They could serve a $25 Macdonald’s burger and the view would make it worthwhile, but good food into the bargain makes it a winner.
A stunning location, and pleasant service, but the food was so salty that we couldn’t really taste what we were eating. I suspect they over-rely on the beauty of the views to draw in business.
Service was really fast & good. Ambiance and view was excellent.
food is mediocre, prices are ridiculous, you pay for an *okay* view honestly.
Food was great. Beautiful views of Statue of Liberty and waterfront. Only bad thing was the lack of clean bathrooms. The bathroom is for both the public and restaurant patrons. My husband said the bathroom was gross.
A lot of atmosphere on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in the park. Great views. Diverse menu with wines to match. Food was excellent. Service was solid. And not expensive by Manhattan standards. I had been to Il Gigino and recommended it to my family. They were pleased. Il Gigino is a gem.
