Great food and great staff. First time coming was for restaurant week, but will definitely come again.
The ambiance is fantastic. Very modern and different. The food was not only good but the presentation was impressive. We will definitely return.
Gigante was a great time. The ambiance and decor alone was a sight to see. The appetizers and special cocktails were delightful. The main entrees were tasty, but alittle salty in two of three meals. The desserts were also very yummy and presented so well. Definitely would go back and try out the rest of the menu and have a few more cocktails.
My boyfriend and I attended Gigante for the first time during resturaunt week - and we were blown away! This was probably one of the best meals him and I have had. For appetizers we got the meatball & mozzarella/prosciutto dish, main course we had the lamb chop & the penne alla vodka and dessert we had zepolli & chocolate lava cake - every single thing was absolutely amazing and worth the price! Aside from the food, the space is beautiful. We are really looking forward to coming back and dining on the full menu.
Mozzarella appetizer was just ok, but the pork chop and lava cake dessert were both outstanding. Loved the vibe and the bar.
Friends had taken me for my birthday in February and everything was wonderful. This time, other than the drinks, the food was awful. I began with a charred Caesar salad and it was ice cold, everything was clumped together. My pork chop was so dry, I left
most of it on my plate and I rarely don’t finish. The dessert was the worst of all, zeppoles that were so dried out and stale they could have been used as ping pong balls. I won’t go back again.
I want to love this restaurant but I can’t... yet. There is tremendous potential. The space is great but a bit loud to carry a conversation.
The overall service at the front desk isn’t welcoming. The young ladies seem preoccupied and rather aloof . We called to make a reservation and were told there’s nothing available. I went to open table to find another restaurant and there was Gigante with a few reservations available.
How is this possible...? The restaurant was busy but there were tables available. The service was amateurish at best. The wine list wasn’t immediately available. We had to wait to order appetizers because we couldn’t find the waiter ... bread was not delivered. The appetizers came out before the wine. Water glasses weren’t filled until we had to ask ... twice. It appeared that they may have been short staffed ... but there were three young women at the reception desk talking and ignoring people.
The food came out warm not hot ... another indication that they are not in sync with the kitchen.
Overall, I would go back because it’s a lovely restaurant and close to home. I’m an optimist so I hope they correct the issues.
Hard to believe Westchester Magazine rated this as one of the top ten restaurants to try during Hudson Valley Restaurant week! I was underwhelmed, to say the least. For my appetizer I ordered Burrata with with sweet potato purée. Presentation was lovely. Unfortunately the Burrata was not creamy inside but was more like Mozzarella.
My entree was chicken Scarpariello. Nice presentation, chicken Frenched, good flavors. Lava cake dessert had a nice twist but the Zeppole dessert was not as interesting. The dough was tough and dense. Not to be unkind but I’ve had better at street fairs.
Wine selections were a nice assortment and reasonably priced. The waiters need to know that when a wine bottle is ordered, it needs to be tasted by the person who ordered it before pouring for other guests.
We dined on a Friday night. The restaurant was extremely crowded and the live band was not conducive to a nice evening out with friends.
The space is very interesting, dark and sleek. Unfortunately, the stone floor and lack of table cloths, carpeting and other sound absorbing items made it very noisy even though it was only half full.
The food was tasty and generous. Wines by the glass were nice quality (we tried two Italian varieties). Other than the meat on our two main entrees, however, everything else could have been hotter. This is unfortunate because the food was very tasty. Chocolate dessert cake was extremely sweet, but there are several choices.
Service was attentive and friendly.
In short, nice food and service in a dark modern setting that we found too noisy.
We were there for Restaurant Week, so I can’t comment on the prices.
The place itself looks very elegant. The service was really good. I think the owner talked to me but I wasn't sure but he was very friendly. The food was very good and delicious.
Sat us 20 minutes late after our reservation time
Happily surprised sat this discovery - will be back - even though noisy because the food and service was great and a pretty space!
Fun with a family dinner included 93 year old dad and 7 month old granddaughter.
Wonderful Sunday Dinner and a lovely birthday dinner/celebration. The staff was attentive and the atmosphere is welcoming.
Was a great find for my wife and I. Food was very good ambiance we nice, good background music, We will definitely go back
Excellent and creative cuisine with large portions, excellent service and wonderful ambiance both inside and outside. I recommend highly and will definitely return.
Nice menu choices, good that some moderate price options. Service was good but it did take a long time to get our food and given that the restaurant was not that crowded it was surprising. Décor is wonderful, makes it feel festive and special.
Excellent food, terrific service and great ambiance. A wonderful special event space.
It was mostly ok. Its the 2nd time I was there.
I am used to the service at Mulino's and this is not quite as good.
Best Food,, Best Value, Best Ambiance, Best Service Outstanding
Great evening for a friend’s birthday. Mariano was our waiter & he was very professional, friendly and prompt.
We’ll return and will try also the Thursday evening with music. Thank you.
I have been to Gigante several times and I always enjoy the atmosphere, food and service. We had a long leisurely dinner.
My only complaint was how loud it was... maybe where we were seated was a particularly boisterous crowd, but otherwise it was great.
Highly impressed with this restaurant. Beautiful ambiance inside and outdoor seating areas. The service was excellent - everyone was friendly from the maitre d, the server, the bus boys and even the owner Tommy, stopped by to check that the air temperature and the food was to our satisfaction. Menu is varied - the meatball was excellent (the parmesan cheese you could tell was imported) and I was very happy with the halibut. The chicken scarp was good, not great. LOVED the ice cream sandwich dessert. The restaurant also brought over a free dessert with a candle, as they knew it was my husband's birthday. We are greatly looking forward to going back and trying other items on the menu.
Small menu, excellent fresh food. Servers were very attentive. Ambiance was very nice. Already recommended to several people. Will be coming back!!
Excellent service, food, and beautiful decor!!
It's a little cheesy. The food is mediocre at best. But the service was very good.
Small plates are amazing, plenty of food! Sauces are flavorful, truly authentic cooking preparation. Desserts are homemade as are their breads. Cocktail menu, chic. Lush environment but casual at the same time, restaurant is for everyone, GREAT service, personable and professional. Looking forward to return for their Brunch ... french toast!
Went on recommendation from people we just met a few days ago on a boat trip - was glad I remembered to look it up! Bar was part of the nice & modern decor, we arrived early for reservation so we sat to have a drink before dinner. Service (Sarah) was excellent, drinks were tasty! Move to table was right on time.
Octopus was tender and succulent, veal chop was large & delicious! Salmon was excellent! Deserts were a treat! Service was very good, timely but not rushed. Wine list had good choices by the glass.
We'd go again.
Excellent restaurant. Food and drinks were very good. They had a pool side DJ. Lots of energy. Excellent service.
Wonderful service from Benny
We will be back
Food was amazing! Sauces were flavorful. Impressed with the overall menu there’s something for everyone and the quality is impressive and fresh. Staff is attentive and happy. An amazing drink menu if you want to try something new. One of the newest places in Westchester it’ll keep you coming back. Also great brunch. Try the French toast.
Celebrating one year anniversary of the restaurant
Great Father’s Day brunch. Service was outstanding and food great. All around a pleasure.
Big thumbs up! Great food!
The staff, manager and owner could not be nicer. And the food is delicious!!
Had a phenomenal dinner this week at Gigantes! Food was very delicious and wine was great! Love the trendy vibes of the ambiance. Highly recommend! Can’t wait to go back!
This is sort of a strange place. It’s half country club dining and half nice restaurant (like it can’t decide what to be). The food was all very good - our group had everything from “real” like the pork chop and salmon to very casual (pizza and truffle fries). And the service was attentive and the staff was nice and engaging. But appetizers that might accompany a nicer meal we’re sorely lacking. And the atmosphere — a dressed up country club lunch spot — didn’t work for me at all.
Gigante Restaurant has unique cocktails that keep you coming back for more on Sunday night the bartender was truly amazing, he was attentive and welcoming!
This 5 stars restaurant will definitely exceed your expectations!
We happened upon this restaurant during Restaurant Week (a starter, entree and dessert for one price). Typically, restaurants offer smaller versions of regular menu items or create a new (a.k.a. cheaper) menu offering.
This was not the case here. The portions were very generously sized, particularly considering the deal going on that week in the county. The taste of the food was the only thing better than the portion sizes. All three of us enjoyed our meal, and one individual said the pork chop dish was the best pork chop he's ever had (I don't eat pork but it was certainly the largest chop I've ever seen)! Our server (I wish I knew his name) was fantastic - every recommendation was "on point" and he was a pleasure. The interior has a modern/chic lounge vibe - sleek and trendy. They say the trendier the location, the worse the food, but this was not the case here. I will be back.
The restaurant is beautiful. We went during Restaurant Week for our first time and had a very nice experience. All dishes were beautifully displayed. My beet salad was delicious. The beef short rib was fork tender. The warm chocolate cake with coconut gelato was the best. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We’ll definitely be back to try other dishes.
