Food and service were good, if you don’t mind basically eating in a hotel lobby
Pre theatre
Business meeting went fine but we asked for and never received a 4th menu even though there were 4 people. We waited for a long time to order, waited normal time for food but one dish came out considerably later than the first 3 that arrived together. Nothing was spoken about the delay nor was their a word spoken when the last meal came out. We needed water refills often but the waiter was nowhere to be seen. Finding him to ask for the bill was difficult too. He seemed very Inattentive to our table and barely spoke a word the entire time he served us and that includes taking our orders.
Wedding anniversary
Delightful server, quick service without feeling hurried. Food was excellent in presentation as well as taste. Menu was minimal, but covered all bases. Restaurant is apparently unpopular, but I don’t know why. Low patronage means quiet and great service. Take advantage!
Pre-play dinner
Food was very fresh. Delicious drinks. Waiter had the bartender make a modified drink when they did not have what I had ordered specifically.....and it was excellent.
Our water Joe was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the menu. We had the Tuna with Calamari for an appetizer. Joe provided the right amount of service, not too much, but was there at the right time.
It is right off the highway and parking was easy. we had the cream pie bomb, also excellent. Coffee was hot and fresh. $130 for the two of us. It was well worth the price. We will be returning. Should you visit the Bluefin, ask for Joe! you will not be disappointed!
Everyone had an appetizer, and all were pleased with them. I particularly liked the Thai Shrimp! Only two out of the four entrees were classified as "acceptable". This was the first time I was ever served Swordfish that actually "crumbled" when I started to eat. There was no firmness or texture to it. In my experiences when fish Crumble it means two things : WAY overcooked, or bad fish. The potatoes that were served with the swordfish were just mush. The person who ordered the Crabcakes, took two bites and pushed it away. Service, was very good! Prices are "ok". Ok for Apps and drinks, but I would not go for dinner again.
When we arrive for a confirmed reservation we were told it was not in the system. The service was extremely slow and it was exceptionally loud in the restaurant ....
Food good, service friendly . Menu did not match that online. Choices good for everyone.
But some pricing and triple charging shenanigans gave us a bad taste in the mouth.
We enjoyed our meal, the service was good, and it wasn't busy.
A hotel restaurant...’good enough, but service was very good’
Fine choice if you are staying at the Marriott and need a decent local meal. Pricing was appropriate. Good selection. Would not travel out of my way to go there.
I went to Bluefin for a business lunch at 11am. The menu only had breakfast items. Also we tried to order a cappuccino and were told to walk over to starbucks for it. We were expecting to order lunches for a party of 5 but just ordered coffee and pastries. This was slightly disappointing for us but as a business you would have gotten a bigger check out of us if you offered lunch. Otherwise Everything else was fine.
Michael Arena and staff did an outstanding job with both the Thanksgiving and Christmas Buffets. The service we received from John and Savannah was excellent. They were unruffled and dedicated to great service even though there were many special seating requests within the upper level area. It is a sign of terrific training and service that these requests never were an uphevel to other guests and were handled with genuine aplomb and professionalism. Looking forward to Easter Brunch at the Blue Fin as well as any excuse we can come up with to go for lunch, brunch, buffet or dinner.
We went to BlueFin Grille for Christmas lunch buffet. Ambiance was excellent, the waiter was wonderful at first, but the food was awful. These served ham, turkey and sirloin roast. The sirloin roast and turkey were so dry, extremely overcooked. I will say the mashed potatoes were very good though and the gravey was tasty . We paid 40.00 per person and when we were done eating within a half hour we were rushed out. I was not happy with being rushed out, it was our Christmas lunch and the bill came to over 200.00 yet they kept coming over to our table even taking our water glasses off table because they thought we should not be there since we were no longer eating . I would not go there to eat nor would I ever recommend their extremely dry meat.
Typical hotel restaurant, very average buffet. Omelette station was decent.
The menu at the restaurant is not what is listed online. I chose to dine at Blue Fin for a specific dish that was online and it’s wasn't on the actual menu.
Food was over cooked and cold. The place was small and lacking any atmosphere.
The food did not taste fresh and my lobster was like chewing on rubber.
Enjoyed a very good dinner and attentive service
The bread came out fresh and warm, the fish tacos were delicious, the waiter was awesome, and they even brought us a plate of desserts because it was my mother's 50th birthday. I didn't even ask for it. It was so thoughtful, and it made my mom's night!
The service was excellent great staffing , Oysters I would not recommend warm, and the shell breaking in your mouth , and very small! The scallops were excellent ! The desert given saying Happy Anniversary was very nice! and there staff bring it to our room was so nice!!!!!!!
We had a wonderful waitress Brianne. Our meal was good. I felt it was a bit expensive but overall it was a nice place.
Seated promptly. One waitress for 8 tables. Tried to get a table toward separate back area by window..told not enough staff to have this area open. Sat at table that was next to open bar area. Very noisey. Couple next to me were seated close enough that I could hear all about what was going on in their lives. Food was average and had the Statler chicken which was slightly dry. Wine selection okay and overpriced. Would not eat here for dinner again.
Breakfast and dinner were excellent . Charles was an attentive and provided great service. Christine was helpful with menu choices. Stayed at hotel so it was very convenient
It was the Providence restaurant week. We could not do dinner so we went with a couple of friends to try a lunch. Being not familiar with the Providence restaurants, we picked one from the list on Open Table. I must say I was very disappointed. The food was very ordinary, nothing special about seafood or grill. A blah lunch. The place is in the Marriott restaurant. During mid-day it was not crowded. The waitress was not even aware of the restaurant week or there was a menu for it until she went back to ask. Overall a very disappointing experience. Hope the other restaurants are better.
The food was average at best. Expensive for an average meal. The restaurant was extremely understaffed. The waitress did the best she could under the circumstances. She spent most of her time bussing the tables and getting them ready for the next guests. Not what we would expect. There was no bell captain to help us get a cab. Not what whe would expect of a Marriott.
Wonderful food and service. Outstanding dishes. Highly recommend if you love seafood. A special thank you to Jennifer the dining room supervisor. We had rough start to our vacation but she went above and beyond to make us feel special. Thank you Jennifer.
Understaffed. Dinner took two hours. We waited at the hostess station. It took 10 minutes for a waitress to let us know they would be with us shortly.
My cousin, her husband and their three kids (two twin boys under 6 months and a daughter, 3), dined here last night along with me and my husband. The food was well-prepared, tasty, and enjoyable. The service was outstanding. They even accommodated the kids with car seat holders (like a chair that holds a car seat!) and a coloring book/crayons/kids menu for the 3 year old. We had a wonderful experience and were treated very well. Thank you for making our mini family reunion a huge success!
We had a small family dinner to celebrate a major birthday. It was a weekday, early and very quiet, which was appreciated. The food was quite good: we ordered scallops, pork chops, salmon and steak and everything was delicious. The server was professional, attentive but not intrusive.
My only complaint had to do with the hotel disbursing some type of air freshener/perfume which caused my eyes to water terribly. SInce the restaurant is open to the lobby this was a real problem for me. SO my recommendation comes with an alert for people with sensitivitiy to perfumes.
Very slow service, appeared to be understaffed and overwhelmed.
The Scallops onto of butternut squash risotto with lobster butter was amazing !
Alcohalic drinks were terrible, we went on saturday before valentines day. We ordered several drinks and had to keep asking for them to be fixed. Food was good but not incredible. Was very loud but that is to be expected when it is open to the hotel lobby. We won't be rushing back.
Scallops over squash risotto just delicious and just the right portion! Lamb shank also cooked to perfection with meat falling off the bone. Great value as prices very reasonable.
This is our 2nd visit to Blue Fin. We have gone on our anniversary and have been very pleased with the ambiance and excellent service and especially the wonderful seafood, and wine secection.
Food was suprisingly good although the menu was somewhat limited. Service was good. A little pricey but not as bad as other New Year's eve set menus. Nothing stood out as being awesome, but for a decent sit down dinner it served its purpose.
The food was bad and the restUrant is in the lobby of a Marriott - really bad choice
