   We had an absolutely fabulous dinner at Giardino 54 last night! The food and drinks were all sooo delicious. We started with the Octopus appetizer and my wife had the Ginger Cosmo while I had the Old Fashioned which had a sprig of rosemary and it was all delicious then I had the Lasagna All'Emiliana, my wife had the Paccheri All'Amatrciana and we shared a bottle of the Maria Vittoria Chianti Classico Reserva....that part of the meal was equally phenomenal and sooo mouthwateringly delicious (I'm still dreaming of that Lasagna)!!! We finished by sharing a slice of Tiramisu as well as a slice of pistachio cheesecake with 2 espresso martinis and once again we were in heaven. Our server Eddy was fantastic and took such great care of us...even though it was very busy when we arrived and we had reserved an intimate table tucked away but they weren't immediately available so we just shared our cocktails for about 15 minutes at one of the indoor patio tables until the perfect corner table opened up inside...after that we couldn't have been happier with the whole night. We were celebrating my birthday and it turned out to be the perfect place to have a quiet, intimate and fabulously delectable meal together. We can't wait to go back again. It's such a neighborhood gem of a restaurant with some of the best Italian food in Hell's Kitchen. 5 stars for sure!!!

   When we arrived, we did not like where he was seeing us, but he brought over some nice champagne and was very helpful. He recommended the short ribs Oso Buco in the salad and he was spot on. Food was very good. I would definitely recommend it. The place is small, but very good.

   A nice neighborhood gem with a good buzzy vibe. We were seated in a high top for a party of five. Not ideal. The food and service were very good. However, there’s a 3.35% surcharge added to every bill, but if you pay cash, you get a 3.25% discount. They did not honor that on the bill and charged us the full surcharge despite paying cash. When we questioned it, the server was confused. Also, they took a $50 deposit on OpenTable to reserve a table for 5, and instead of applying that to the bill, I have to wait up to 10 days to see a refund on my Amex. All annoying and unnecessary charges that make dining out less pleasurable.

   Happy hour can only accommodate 8 people. Therefore it is a come’on! Why not honor it at the high top tables like every other restaurant? Plat s slightly overpriced even for 9th Ave. Food is delicious. Get the happy hour corrected.

    Had a wonderful dinner to tonight...it started with a Ginger Cosmo , A Beet salad and Pork Belly with fingerling potatoes. Cooked to perfection!
