Dinner was outstanding, as always. The wine paired with the meal made it that much more spectacular. The service team and decor also impeccable. This is exactly why we keep coming back - one of our favorites in Rome.

Outstanding food quality, excellent friendly service, nice atmosphere inside and out. My issue was the wine prices, the most incredibly overpriced wine list I've ever encountered in Italy and not on just the big names- across the board it was difficult to find something that wasn't marked up beyond a reasonable margin. Every wine is priced significantly higher than similar restaurants in California for the same wine. Extremely disappointing given the high quality and reasonable prices for the food.

Great service, good pasta dishes. Be forewarned that this is the hotel restaurant in a W hotel, so not a “mom and pop” Italian restaurant, but lovely nonetheless. Beautiful outside dining area.

Great food. Super nice waiter. Ambiance was fancy. The dessert service after dinner was about an hour and 20min so too long for us.

Worst experience ever, I ordered the beef carpaccio but they gave me the fish (amberjack) didn’t want to be the tourist that returns food so we ate it and it was disgustingly bad. Then ordered pasta and the seabass (catch of the day) and it had no flavor it was so bland. Honestly for what we paid I was expecting more flavor and a better experience. I don’t recommend this place there’s other restaurants around the corner that looked more inviting.

We had wonderful service with excellent food. The restaurant is popular with Americans and so it was loud; I do wish they had a volume control. That’s not a comment on the restaurant, rather on my sensitivity to loud environments. So if you are like me & prefer a quieter setting for food then be aware.

We all arrived in Rome today and we decide to give this restaurant a go as it had a good rating and review in the Michelin guide. We were not disappointed.. Our food was by their standards going to be delayed so they filled in the gap with some awesome arancini balls. The wine list is extensive and i had an awesome riesling with my pork dish. The sommelier was very generous with his pour. The food arrived and everyone was very happy. The desserts didn't disappoint either. The meal was finished with a complimentary watermelon granita. Bellissimo!

We chose Giano to celebrate my engagement because it was listed in the Michelin guide. The write up and photos of the inside made it seem very nice but laid back which was just what we were hoping for. We were sat outside which was somewhat expected. It became very hot though as the outside seating is in an enclosed atrium. The food was very good and we enjoyed the creativity of the chef. My fiancé tried the squid ink pasta with mint and described it as “something you couldn’t get anywhere else.” I had the Spaghetto Taratatà and was happy with my meal. The sommelier helped us choose a wine and it was absolutely wonderful. The wines are on the pricey side compared to the food but the wine we had was well-worth the price.

Experience overall was a little disappointing. Some confusion right off the bat with wait staff. Had three individuals stop by our table for various orders, wine, drinks, and food. Ordered drinks at the start but they didn’t arrive until after our main course was served. Food was ok. My wife ordered the eggplant parmigiana which she did like and I had the spaghetti with tomatoes which was just ok. In addition, wait staff were not that attentive. Took about 15 minutes after we were done to get our bill and I had to ask for it. For over 100 Euro, I expect more.
