Great food and good with accommodations like gluten free veggies instead of pasta. Great wait staff.
We enjoyed our meals... We were looking for a good Italian restaurant and Darcy's was available. Even though the table was nicely set in preparation for our time, they accommodated our request to move to a different , more quiet table. Only shortfall was the server forgot our appetizer so, when told, it was served with our salad course. We were curious to see if it might be comped(not)... That said, our server did give us a very good wine recommendation. All in all, very nice and wouldn't hesitate to return.
The service and attention to detail have been declining over the last few months. To be a 5 star restaurant the service has to be as good as the food. We've had to ask for bread the last 2 times... while other tables who arrive after us get theirs before we do. (We love their bread) There were only 3 napkins at our table when we were seated. We repeatedly asked for the 4th napkin. Eventually my husband just got up and got one from another table. When we were ready to leave our waiter was too busy to bring our check. We waited quite awhile and asked several other servers if they could bring our check. I think Darcy was there celebrating her birthday, so maybe the entire staff were busy trying to impress her (or hide). Our waiter seemed to have too many tables. The food is consistently good. Service is not.
Our linguini and clam sauce was extremely watery, and the pasta did not taste like it was made fresh in the kitchen as proclaimed.
The Bread on the table was on the edge of stale as well and the boy handing it out did not even know what kind of bread it was.
Great service! Menu wasn’t huge, but our food was delicious.
We dine at Darcy’s all the time (3-4 times per month). We’re noticing when it’s busy tables seem to be closer together which made a Valentines conversation difficult. We were seated next to the kitchen so very noisy and busy. We love the place and will always go back but the “over-crowding” since it became Darcy’s is obvious. Hopefully they are not sacrificing a great reputation from Gianfranco for a couple of extra tables.
Best Italian food in metro Phoenix. Excellent service....great bartender .....friendly bar
The food was great. A bit overpriced, but very good. The service was awful. Some of the worst I've experienced in a long time. The manager, who I believe was the owner, was apologetic, but in the end did very little to get us to come back. Not that I was looking for a free dinner, but with all the problems we had, she should have offered more that a free desert for the table. Really left a bad taste in our mouth. Pun intended.
Our service was terrible. We had a reservation, table was not ready for 25 minutes, we were ignored for a long time once we sat down, one entree was incorrect....waiter seemed overwhelmed.
We had a reservation but had to wait in the bar (very noisy) for 1/2 hour before being seated.
Food was good but service was slow.
Hadn't been since restaurant changed hands, so decided to try. LARGE menu, and pretty traditional, so something for everyone. We shared the calamari - very good; not great - and the caprese salad- same assessment . He had the carbonara and I had the penne with a spicy marinara and chicken. Entrees were both very good, and generous servings! Bread was excellent, by the way. Service was attentive, but our waiter really didn't know how to open/serve wine, so that was a bit of a disappointment. We will return, but it is not at the top of our local Italian list.
Missed orders, slow orders getting out, no bus boys (We looked at dirty dishes throughout the evening).
Some of the food that was served was obviously sitting under lamps for a long time.
They were busy, and couldn't handle the volume.
Mike the bartender is exceptional!
Always awesome. Service, food, ambience... outstanding. As good as it gets for authentic Italian food, without being pretentious. These guys know how to make a winning meal with a solid wine list to match. Great bar, too, if you just want a drink and an appetizer.
Terrible service. Waiter was missing in action. Had to wait 20 minutes just to get a wine menu, never mind the wine itself. Food was OK, but not up to it's normal quality. Not going back for a long while.
Been there before when it was Gainfranco's. The food was very good, but the changes in the menu where not to our liking. As for the service, we had a waiter in training, not the best experience, but nice young man and he will learn fast.
Mike is always great in the bar. Staff is excellent,
Solid Italian restaurant. Minimal menu but what they had was good.
First time here and loved it. Great food, great service and down the block from the Four Seasons Hotel we were staying at.
Great food and service. Very nice evening out with my hubby.
Always a good meal, good service, very reliable. repeat customer, the veal, the pork chop and the salads...
Hubby and I Cam here for New Years Eve. The service was great. I had a Rubinstein Cab Sauv which didn’t blow my mind. The calamari was average, the burrata was very good. My tortellini della Nonna was delicious. Hubby had osso bucco, which was tasty but we’ve both had better. Overall goood food and service but I’ve had better Italian.
This restaurant never disappoints! Great food, professional service, friendly staff and always delicious!
Fantastic food snd service! Best veal ever, that incluses the East Coast. Being from NY I am always amazed how great this place is.
Highly recomend Great service great food john is a great waiter
We have been going to Gianfranco (don't know why you changed your name. We almost didn't come because we count not find Gianfranco on Trip Advisor) and we have never been disappointed. Good food, service (Scott) and a nice cliental..A bit expensive compared with the competition but worth the price.
Expensive and mediocre. For fans of Gianfranco’s, as we were, it was not up to par, but perhaps we were spoiled. Our Christmas Eve tradition for many years now has been to take a big bunch of family out for the best Italian meal in North Scottsdale, which Gianfranco’s easily was. Accordingly, it was always a packed, exciting environment on that very special evening. I’m sorry to say that it is that no more - not for lack of trying, because I think they are, but rather because perhaps Franco’s fans want it to be what it was. But all that said, it’s still quite pricey for a not so stellar meal.
The food was really delicious
Nice environment... excellent service
Highly recommend eating here
As usual everything was amazing , thanks to the staff for a great evening !!!
